  1. This is a nightmare....... somebody please wake me up when this is all over
  2. Good ball to watch, nothing like watching the huskers.
  3. Well luck has ran for almost 500 yards this season, that's a threat. I would rather have a QB run for 500 and throw for 2000 than the other way around
  4. What is so attractive about NIKE?? I'm glad were with ADIDAS, NIKE is all hype and flash. Their shoes and clothes are over priced crap.
  5. I didn't believe it, because I wouldn't think a head coach would say that since it could be used against him in recruiting, but he did say it. It sounds like the earliest he'd consider it is after his contract is up in 2013. http://huskerextra.com/sports/football/article_ca4d4d53-0308-56a2-98b6-2c2f85efeb2a.html I'm not real internet savy, so not sure how you dug that up but thanks
  6. I can't remember where I read it but there was an article sometime in the last year about Frank and in that article it talked about how he would just like to go back to being a position coach. So my guess is, if Beck ever leaves and TO and Bo are still here if Frank wants it, he gets it. Also about his recruting abilities, TO has said on more than one ocassion that Frank was one of the best recruiters TO had. He named off a laundry list of players that he got to sign here.
  7. More like a tradition, 3 games in 09, 3 games in 10..........
  8. The only thing they deserve is to get their @$# handed to them. Bo and company will be ready, there will be know let down. Another one of Bo's us versus the world speach and a healthy Martinez and UW will regret beating WA St
  9. Sorry to hear about your friends. May the Lord be with them
  10. Always good to keep things in perspective. Nice post
  11. What changes should be made?????? I am not a Watson supporter but changing OC's only moves you backwards until the new coach "gets his guys" How many times have we heard that. I would prefer to stay with the current staff, as long as they can evolve and continue to learn. Change is not always for the better.
  12. I dont care if they had UT roots, I would just like to see a offense that executes.
  13. I actually agree with you, for the most part. In my post I quickly criticized how disappointed I was in the fact that we pull linemen all the time and they simply just can't get to the edge fast enough every to play to block the speed of the defense. Plus, those plays where the linemen pull are usually slow developing plays that can be ruined by a linebacker with good speed and a keen eye for finding which gap to crash. The perfect example is the play-calling down near the goal line. Have you ever noticed how many times we pull tackles and guards to hit gaps rather than just straight dive right into opposing linemen? Perfect example was against Colorado. We got down to the goal line and called two straight run plays that involved pulling linemen, and each time our running back got stuffed. We had to call a fairly tricky pass play just get into the end zone on that drive. Yea that playcalling against CU down at the 1 was very bizzare. I know we have talent on the O-line, just not sure about the talent under the head sets.
  14. Don’t take this as a disagreement with you. You are 100% correct on your points. However the one thing that should be looked at in regards to the O-line play is the play calling. Wats with his west coast/zone read hybrid offense puts a lot of stress on the O-line. The blocking schemes are 100% different for the O-line when we run out of the I-Formation vs the Zone Read. The O-line does a pretty dam good job at executing the drive, pin, man blocking schemes when were under center. The games you listed as poor performances by the O-line are correct but look at the play calling. You can’t expect 300+ pounders to pull play after play on that outside zone read when we haven’t established the inside running game. The defense will crash the “C” gaps and maintain contain on the outside forcing the runner back to the inside and there is nothing that the O-line can do about it.
  15. I will miss OU. But now I wont have to root against them 2 times every 4 years.
  16. Running game improved. However we placed the entire offense around one man and unfortunately D coordinators watch film and when they figured out how to stop him, Watson couldn't adjust.
  17. you need to take Coach Pelini's football 101/102
  18. They rarely ever execute, and if your players aren't executing then your not coaching ='s Watson's fault.
  19. If there are any changes they will be voluntary, like leaving for a new job. Unfortunately, I believe stay the course is the MO for this program. Remember TO is not a knee jerk guy so I don't think he will let Bo make any changes to the staff.
  20. GOD is a football fan. No other way the Big 12 should end then an epic battle between NU and OU
