  1. STEVE FILER, Linebacker from Chicago (Mt. Carmel), Illinois has several offers from schools such as Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Virginia, Illinois, Stanford, California and others. "Notre Dame is recruiting me the hardest." said Filer, "They text message me every day. I like Notre Dame because it's close to home and they have great academics." "I was at Notre Dame's junior day's last week-end." he said, "I like coach Weis, I met him once before." "Nebraska sends me letter once in awhile." said Filer, "They want me to come up for a spring practice, I probably won't because it's too far away. I'm not sure if I will visit them on an official visit either." "Michigan is pretty cool." he said, "I haven't talked to their staff yet, but they want me to attend a spring practice." "I like Dick Tressel (Ohio State)." he said, He writes to me every other day. He's a cool guy." "Ohio State wants me to attend one of their spring practices too. I also have family that lives in Ohio." When asked if Filer wanted to stay in the Big 10 area. "Not really." said Filer, "I just want to give it some time and see what other offers I get. I don't have any favorites right now. I will narrow it down later, and would like to take all five visits. Academically, I'm looking for a good mechanical engeering school."
  2. PRE-BC OFFENSE: Tommie Frazier PRE-BC DEFENSE: Mike Brown CURRENT OFFENSE: Zac Taylor CURRENT DEFENSE: Adam Carriker
  3. It looks like Livingston may not play next year after they found out that he tore 3 ligaments in his knee. He also disclocated his patella tendon. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2782056
  4. Now that he is receiving more attention from big-time schools Gerell Robinson is no longer a solid commit to Arizona and is looking at several teams including Nebraska. Arizona '08 verbal wants to see improvement Gerell Robinson has informed the Wildcats coaching staff that he will not attend Arizona if they do not win at least eight games during the 2007 season, according to the Arizona Daily Wildcat. He said, "They (the coaching staff) know where I'm coming from. They said they don't blame me. I just want to see some improvement from last year." However, Robinson did add that he's "looking forward to competing for a championship and putting (Arizona) on the map nationally." The versatile prospect who could line up at quarterback, wide receiver, or defensive back in college, has also been in contact with other programs such as Nebraska, USC, Oregon, and Notre Dame.
  5. It's been a rough couple months for the Denver Broncos. RIP Damien Nash
  6. Two more players committed to Texas today. Riley Dodge and Tre' Newton from Carroll High School.
  7. Andrew Jones plans on being at Nebraska to watch the spring game.
  8. It's great news to hear that he is out of the hospital.
  9. This really hurts the Chargers because they don't have an in-house replacement because both of their coordinators have accepted head coaching jobs.
  10. Hopefully this isn't serious and he can recover from this very soon.
  11. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to the department.
  12. I am very glad that coach Gilmore has decided to stay. He has done a great job with the receivers and I think that he would make a great recruiting coordinator.
  13. I would give this class a B+. They did a great job of getting talented JUCO players to fill in at positions that don't have a lot of depth and they also brought in some great high school players who can develop in the weight room and be ready to play in few years.
  14. The one thing that I am upset about with Ross is that he could have told us the truth and allowed us to look at other players that had interest in Nebraska. One example of this is William Cole who liked Nebraska but never came for a visit because he was told that we had filled our need at defensive back and he would likely play receiver instead and now he is at Oklahoma State.
  15. It is still likely he will go to a JUCO for one year but, he committed now so he will not have to go through the recruiting again and can just enroll at West Virginia after one semester.
  16. If he has hopes of playing RB at Oklahoma he will have to wait a long time before he plays because Allen Patrick is going to be the starter next year and they also have Demarco Murray a redshirt freshman who is going to a talented running back in college.
  17. Was named to the Rivals.com Junior All-American team. http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=638213#aa
