  1. Hey, now. Some of us just don't time to post as much as others. haha
  2. Clearly Bo has lost this team, and you don't need any more evidence than the fact that this team is trying to kill him by inducing a coronary with all of these come-from-behind, double-digit deficit wins. (just in case it's necessary)
  3. What do you mean? Here at Huskerboard, anytime something doesn't go our way, it's a conspiracy against us. If we can't bitch about the refs because they're helping us, then we'll bitch about the announcers. Or the opposing fans. Or the cheerleaders from the opposing team. One way or another, SOMEONE IS OUT TO GET US. Sorry, I forgot where I was posting for a second.
  4. Where the F do some of you get this stuff? Neither of these guys went to Penn State. Just because they question a very questionable call doesn't mean they're biased against Nebraska. Let it go.
  5. Watching that late hit on the DVR, and the hit occurred virtually simultaneously with the whistle. You need to be able to read the ref's minds, apparently.
  6. Over/under on how many posts whining about the announcers this week? 40.5 sound about right?
  7. http://www.slate.com...l_district.html One man, one vote. A vote from a Nebraskan should carry the exact same weight as the vote of a New Yorker. No more and no less. +∞ - I was just about to chime in to make this exact point before reading through the rest of the responses. Glad I waited. Unless the fundamentally anti-democratic practice of gerrymandering is eliminated, there can be no more disastrous an idea than awarding electoral votes by district rather than state.
  8. Hopefully my cable company doesn't screw this up again for the second week in a row. Last week, they put the Texas/Texas Tech feed on ESPN2 HD while the same game was being carried regionally by ABC affiliates. Luckily (and inexplicably), they had the right game on SD ESPN2, and it sucked that I had to watch the whole game on SD. Yes, years of HD football have spoiled me.
  9. I suspect that the product of being raised by that sniveling git would not exactly be someone that Pelini would be interested in anyway - if such a kid was ever able to compete at that level to begin with.
  10. My wife, a soon-to-be Alabama grad and rabid Bama fan, and I have each been referring to "our" Kenny Bell as "The Superior Kenny Bell" all season long.
  11. The PSU game is a regional ABC/ESPN2 at 2:30 CST just like yesterday's game. I haven't seen anything official about who the broadcast crew will be yet, but it will almost certainly not be Beth Mowins and Joey Galloway since they generally do 11:00 games. As for the nit-picking over announcers that some us seem to be obsessed with, I just don't get it. I haven't really had a problem with any of them - even Mowins and Galloway. Sure, some are better than others, and they all say things that are aggravating at times, but I just don't get that stressed over it. Hell, if you survived listening to radio broadcasts during the Jim Rose era, it's hard to complain about anyone as far as I'm concerned.
  12. Except that according to Steve Spurrier, he didn't.
  13. I saw a lot of outlets citing the same dubious source when reporting the femur+patella+4 ligament injury late last night, but none of that information was actually coming from anywhere associated with the SC athletic department. This morning, Spurrier was reporting that Lattimore had "only" dislocated his knee. The more severe injury report making the rounds last night seems to have just been an unfounded rumor.
  14. He's actually got a pretty good track record of picking our games (not that it matters anyway), but for some reason, we have to have one of these threads every time he picks us.
  15. Why the f#*k is he even playing? The other guys can carry the load, and he needs to nurse that damned knee.
  16. Wow. Drink a glass of water. Take a nap. Sober up. Then come back and make an attempt at english, so we can finally welcome you to the conversation. Good grief. Boneheaded attempt in my mind. Just take the ball at that point. But those things happen. I noticed the Wisconsin protector was making a check before that snap. Any chance they half-assed let Babtiste through trying to draw him in for such penalty, if they knew he wouldnt get there in time anyway? He doesn't post often, but there's a pretty good reason that "big bro" refers to SJB as "lil bro." There's really no need to go jumping someone's sh#t over how they construct a post. His post wasn't difficult to decipher, but if you need it spelled out for you, it goes a little something like this: All I can say is, "good job, little brother!" In Miami we're taught to lay the wood, so I say that punter was lucky to get that BS call. It's too bad the coaches didn't give him a chance to make up for the penalty and sat him for the rest of the game, but he learned his lesson so it's cool. That's just Husker football with Coach Pelini."
  17. How exactly does displaying the university's own branding on the field have anything to do with NASCAR-like sponsorship?
  18. I started to look for an emoticon to express how little I care about this, but then I realized I don't care enough to bother.
  19. Bo shouldn't get the crap he gets for how he deals with the media in the first place. All of the Nancy boys that get their panties in a twist over something like that would have an absolute melt down if they were ever on the receiving end of Nick Saban going off on a reporter or the press in general.
  20. To be fair, they never actually confirmed anything. They said that local media was reporting that he had been taken to the hospital, and that several local witnesses reported seeing Pelini being taken away by ambulance. They were still seeking official confirmation and some sort of official word from the athletic department. Reporters, even sports reporters, chase the story - that's their job, it's what they're supposed to do.
  21. Yeah, because the head coach being taken to the hospital under uncertain circumstances isn't an important part of the story in this game, right?
