Who the hell cares what the man looks like? KU IS UNDEFEATED!! that is something we NEVER thought we would hear. I would pick Mangino over almost any other reasonable candidate for the NU job.

Gabbert can pretty much fit the mold for any type of system....other than a straight option attack. He is big, tall, and faster than most. Under no circumstances should we act as if we are better off without him. That is just my opinion though.

I completely agree. It just bothers me that we, as husker fans, feel some sense of entitlement over schools like KU, KSU, Mizz, etc. We are Nebraska, and we have lived through an unimaginable amount of success. However, I don't think our past success gives us any right to degrade an UNDEFEATED TEAM that has physically manhandled everyone they have played. It makes us sound like some uneducated morons living in the past. Give credit where credit is due. That is all I am saying.

Let's not forget, they spanked (I know it was only 8 points, but if you watched the game, you know it was NEVER EVEN CLOSE) A&M at Kyle Field. This was THE WEEK AFTER THEY KILLED US IN MEMORIAL STADIUM. Listen, I am not trying to say they are national championship contenders, or even BCS.....because i don't know that they are...... HOWEVER, I am tired of people not respecting Kansas. What else do you want them to do? THey have won every game they have played....fairly easily as well Let's give the Hawks some credit. They are a hell of a lot better than we are!

I am of the opinion that mangino is an EXCELLENT coach, and so is their defensive coordinator. It is too bad that no matter what, he will be discriminated against for his weight when being considered for future openings at better programs.Although, any university that hired him would be taking an enormous risk on him, due to his health. Ill tell ya this, you can guarantee that mangino will have the stomach staple surgery in the near future. Anyways, if I am not mistaken, he has a very lucrative contract......he was even making more than Bill Self for a couple years, until Self recently got his extension.... So, we will be dealing with Mangino for many years......which is not a good thing for us. Id love it if Nebraska hired him....but there's no chance.

I will be there J-Hawk. I graduated from KU, but I am a little worried about the tailgate space. I haven't been back since they began the construction......where will you be tailgating?

I am beginning to think KU is the real deal. Their D stuffed A&M at kyle field. I would love to be the spoiler, and I am going to be at the game.....but not this year fellas....they are gonna kill us

Eric, I agree with you 100% that they have every right to commit and decommit any time to any school they choose. However, the fact that he is trying to take other commits away from us with him is somewhat demoralizing. Nebraska as a school(not just coaching staff) has had a relationship with this young man for quite some time now. It is frustrating that, after the opportunity this school offered him, he is TRYING to hinder our further successes. While it is certainly no reason for name calling.....I can understand huskernations frustrations.

Do you even know who he is??? He has only coached in the NFL once for ONE year. He is a college coach. That said......He will not be coming to Nebraska.....not under any circumstances

I know that Boise St. is a great place to be and all, and they definitely win all the time. HOWEVER Dan Hawkins left.....for freaking COLORADO....when they were HORRIBLE! Don't even try to tell me Colorado is a better job than NU.

Well Notre Dame has the #1 class in the country, and they have only won 1 game. So, I do not think poor performance has anything to do with it. I think what is swaying these recruits is uncertainty. What if the new coach that comes in isn't interested in them?? They have to look out for their futures. I almost feel like they are being a bit reckless if they DON'T decommit and look elsewhere.

Yeah, but when was the last time we put pressure on anyone??? The Huskers should cover...not because we are any good, but because Mack Brown is usually a decent guy. They don't put up a ton of points, so they would have to let it all hang out to cover that. Mack won't do that.

Mike Stoops is a head coach, I have a hard time believing that he would leave Arizona to be an assistant coach, even if he were to be fired! Look at Dan McCarney, he went from head coach to D coordinator at USF. Not too hard to believe. I thought McCarney went from head coach all the way down to D-Line coach???

I listened to the press conference, and he said the most likely replacement for Murtha is Slauson. He said Javario MIGHT play.

I will be there MVP. I graduated from KU, so if you need to know where all of the honies are, let me know. I grew up in Nebraska and am a lifelong husker fan.....needless to say, this is going to be a WEIRD experience.
