  1. Except that's not what the scientific evidence establishes. Which, like guns, said right is derived from the Constitution. Except that it does... http://www.mccl.org/unborn-babies-can-feel-pain.html http://www.doctorsonfetalpain.com/ http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/845410 It's no surprise that pro-abortion groups are going to try to ignore what science is proving Wrong. That's why there the there are opposing medical opinions on the subject - it hasn't been conclusively proven.
  2. Hardly anybody wants to speak at Trump's convention
  3. I'm sure the players will treasure those rings the rest of their lives...

  5. I know we have to make a choice, and I know time is growing short, but I simply can't decide - right Twix or left Twix?

Submit a legal brief for both sides and submit to binding arbitration. Is that lawyer-y enough?

Not an uncommon position to find one's self in during this election year. Personally, I don't like either, the right or the left side, "of the Twix of course".

  6. U.S. Supreme Court rules that Texas's admitting-privileges and surgical-center requirements place a substantial obstacle in the path of women seeking a previability abortion, constitute an undue burden on abortion access, and thus violate the Constitution. The facts, in summary: Held: Both the admitting-privileges and the surgical-center requirements place a substantial obstacle in the path of women seeking a previability abortion, constitute an undue burden on abortion access, and thus violate the Constitution. A 5-3 decision. Breyer, Kennedy, Ginsburg, Sotomayor and Kagan formed the majority.

  9. There you have it, folks - all blame to Red Dead...
  10. I'm getting results similar to Tom - but only in the last 12 hours. It seems the issue may have resolved itself, though. Is anyone still having problems?
  11. At the bottom of each page is a black bar. One of the options is "Change Theme". If you click it, you get a list of available themes. Give QB 2014 a try to see how it loads without the video player - the video player is not installed in that theme. That's not a fix, but it will tell us something. What would really help is if some members would: 1. Time the load for the main page using the current default theme. 2. Report that load time in this thread. 3. Let us know both the OS you are using, as well as the browser. 4. Multiple browsers would be appreciated, if you have them installed. Chrome, Safari, Opera, IE, etc. Once we have a few reports, I'd like to remove the video player from the current default theme and leave it off for a couple of days. Then, have folks re-run 1-4 and post the new results. The reason I'd like to do it that way is that the other themes not only don't have the video player, they don't have some other things we've added to the default theme. For all we know, it could be that the problem is a conflict between the video player and something in that's in the default theme that isn't in any of the other themes.
  12. Except, in fact, what you take as causation is simply correlation. By the same argument, al Quida exploded in size in Iraq under Bush's watch - it had almost NO foothold in the country until Bush destabilized it with a completely unnecessary war that took more than 4000 American lives. What's good for the goose... Where is your data that shows that Al Quada exploded and then began transporting terror to the US and Europe? I have always read that Al Quada grew in power in the 90s under Clinton's watch, Clinton had the opportunity to take him out and did not, and we then had the bombing in Yemen followed by 9/11. When we were on the offense in the War on Terror with Bush we were seeing less terror attacks in the US and worldwide. Does this mean we need to invade Iraq...no, but it does mean we need to be more aggressive in fighting terror. https://www.aei.org/publication/brennan-admits-isis-was-decimated-under-bush-but-has-grown-under-obama-by-as-much-as-4400-percent/ Focus. I spoke of the growth of al-Qaeda in Iraq. As for proof of that... Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 As for Al-Qaeda's birth and growth, you need to go back to the Reagan administration; it was the birth and growth of Al-Qaeda that gave rise to ISIL. Link
  13. We're going to have to do some testing to confirm it's the player (but all indications is that it is), and then contact the vendor. The last code update we implement for it was in January, so if it is the culprit, it must have been a silent update that the vendor pushed out. Sorry for the problems - we'll see if we can get it resolved relatively quickly.

  15. Or calling one out of touch with reality when the other wants to build a two thousand mile long wall... 1. What exactly has Trump flat out lied about and tried to hide? I'd like you to tell me that, because what I observe is that people who oppose Trump take every minor thing he does and blow it out of proportion and try to put it on level playing field with Hillary's garbage. They're not remotely on the same level. 2. I fully believe that when he becomes President, the wall will happen. And even if we get stuck paying for it, it's pennies compared to the trade deficit that he will help fix. Please answer #1. Thank you He lied about making Mexico pay for his wall.He lied about the wall costing $4 billion. He lied about the wall ever being built. That's just off the top of my head. He knows very well that he's not going to do any of this. Yet he alleges they'll happen anyway. Those are lies. LOL So you've got nothing then? 16. I'd guess that it's a combination of the improvement coupled with recruiting - I haven't checked, but I seem to recall that they've had Top 10 classes the last couple of years. Those kids will be stepping into starting roles this year, most likely.
  17. The problems in Ferguson went much deeper than the Darren Wilson incident. Once that happened and the police force there was investigated, it was revealed that there was an ongoing problem with racism within the force. This incident just brought it to the boiling point no matter if this particular incident was justified or not. I'm sure there were deeper problems in Ferguson, just as there was a long history of violence and crime in Baltimore prior to that city erupting as well. I simply do not recall in my lifetime seeing the level of violent protests across many parts of the nation that we've had in the past few years, and race has a lot to do with that, but protests in general seems to be at a similar level now as it was back in the 1960s. Having experienced the '60s first-hand, I can assure you that what you are seeing today isn't even close to what was happening in the '60s. The '68 Democratic National Convention outbreak, the Black Panthers, the Weathermen, SDS - by today's standards they would have been considered terrorists given the level of violent protest in which they engaged. And much of that came from racial tensions - in fact, the birth of those many of those groups were directly attributable to racial tensions. There were riots in more than 100 cities after the assassination of Dr. King alone. What is being experienced today doesn't even compare to what it was like in the '60s.
  18. He may be right in a legal sense, but it feels awfully scummy to say that. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/07/27/ex-wife-donald-trump-made-feel-violated-during-sex.html Actually, he's completely wrong. Every state extends rape to a spouse. The case law he claims is decades old, and has been repealed by subsequent statute, with the last state to repeal the exemption doing so in 1993. In other words, he's either stupid or a liar. Or both.
  19. The first that comes to mind for me is the Medicare Part D Pharmaceutical Act. Written by pharmaceutical lobbyists who were massive supporters of Bush, with virtually no congressional input, and one of the biggest increases in entitlement programs in history. Bush essentially strong-armed members of his administration to falsify the projected costs in order to ensure passage. One good article about it is by Bruce Bartlett, who was in the Bush administration. To quote from the article:
  20. Not only does that violate the rule about ending a sentence with a proposition, it is redundant at best, completely superfluous at worst. Gee, I LIKE this game!
