  1. After Tillman and Vasher got hurt he started special teams. He got a pick and recovered a fumble for a TD. He was named NFC special teams player of the week. Then he got hurt.
  2. As Doc said- you live by the jump shot, you die by the jump shot. Few buckets at the basket today.
  3. As pointed out by many others, bowl games are looking to make money. This means they are looking for lots and lots of traveling fans to fill seats. The general feeling is that 1. Missouri fans travel poorly in the first place and 2. They definitely won't want to travel after losing 2 straight to end the season. Simple case of a better fan base paying off.
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/...videoId=3705621 Here is the vid of the laser pointer on Robinson.
  5. Yeah the CU - Nebraska game in 2005 was an utter embarrassment. Took a 30 minute stoppage of the game to remove the students who were throwing things on the field. Also, did anyone read the reports that a CU fan was shining a laser pointer in Zac Robinson's eyes last week against OSU?
  6. This is just selection bias. If someone made a video selecting all the times in my life I have been over-the-top angry, it would make it appear as though I was crazy mad all the time, even if this wasn't the case. Same thing here- Bo has had a few tirades in the Oklahoma and VATech games, and they were strung together in a video, making it easy to forget all the times when he's just chilling.
  7. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3682639 is currently linked on the front page of ESPN. Article seems ridiculous to me overall. I've read that Pelini's constant badgering of officials has to do with defensive substitutions, as he doesn't feel that the Huskers are getting enough time to bring on other players after the offense makes substitutions. If this is the case, it might just be him trying to get used to things working different in the Big XII vs the SEC. As for grabbing Terrence Moore's facemask, I agree with Pelini- you don't act childish and hit other players. The article seems over blown to me as there is no good evidence that Pelini's "anger" is hampering the team.
  8. I hope its not on MSN. I'm in Chicago and the city lost its FSN affiliate 2 years ago. Pretty strange that of all the places where you can't get FSN it's here.
  9. Anyone think 4th down conversions are a bit lacking this year? I can think of a few instances, including the Baylor game this weekend, where we lined up and ran it on 4th and short, but were stuffed. This year: 2-7 on 4th down attempts.
  10. The big hits finally made a difference too- Griffin was taking shots left and right and it clearly impacted his ability to run in the second half. Good thing because that guy is mad fast.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/notebook?pag...k/onthemark1020 Still we'd have to win out and hope Missouri loses to Kansas.
  12. ACC is worse than the Big Ten by far.
  13. Sorry but we will not have a top 10 defense this year as the article suggests.
  14. ESPN is reporting that VA Techs leading rusher has been dismissed from the team. Might have a large effect on the game in Lincoln this year. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3301997
  15. We're down by 12 at halftime. Still a great game- guys are playing their hearts out.
  16. Contrast how the current team plays with how that team played. I know they had better athletes on average, but look at how every player threw a block on every play. There was one play where some TE blocked two guys one after another to spark a long run. If the current plays like the 1995 teams with fire and loses, I don't think it would be as big of a deal. That 1995 team makes the current team look like they're just flat uninspired.
  17. Ha this is really great. Yeah I hope he doesn't get in trouble- should've been edited.
  18. Did Callahan really call plays in the second half?
  19. This has happened during every game I've listened to online. I also thought it was refreshing.
  20. I understand what McBride said, but I don't get the impression that it rules out acting as an interim coach for a few games. Get the feeling he's talking about the long run.
  21. I know I haven't been posting a lot of info, but I have a source close to boosters that corraborates what IBR has said. -- Pelini in after LSU's season is over (could be a while since they may play in January) -- Marvin Sanders is in the mix, but has to get out of his contract -- Not sure on McBride acting as interim but is a possibility -- Callahan has been asked to resign, but refused. -- There is a high probability that Callahan will be removed after a loss to A&M (we shall see) Evidently SP had a blow up after the Mizzou game in front of employees. Meyers quitting was a result of a meeting Meyers and a former player had with SP which SP never showed up for. For what its worth...
  22. Yeah the lack of defensive adjustment is absolutely disgusting.
