  1. FWIW a 6.0 rating is a five star rating not a four star. Not trying to be mean or anything, just informing. FWIW your wrong.
  2. ...and smarts is going to be David's primary advantage over other LBs. Pelini's defense requires intelligence - in this case, the ability to recognize offensive sets quickly & adjust to get the upperhand before the play even formulates. So smart he couldn't pass a math class and enroll at UNL in the Spring.
  3. Since it is early for 2011 recruits scout is not really fully ranking them. They only have a few of their 5 stars up and everyone else with numerous offers gets a 3 star automatically that can raise to a 4 star with more offers or some actual work by scout (not likely). Right now if a recruit has any offers they are an automatic 1 star and if they have more than a couple it is an automatic 3 star. That is why rivals waits to put out rankings. Rivals wants to evaluate first and then post rankings, not rank and then evaluate. That's not really accurate. Scout has a fully ranked Top 150 with plenty of 4 star players.
  4. Well Nebraska has produced some pretty big scumbags too so lets not be throwing rocks inside our glass house. Also I personally think Randy Shannon is starting to whip that school into shape, they are nowhere near as bad as they used to be.
  5. I'm pretty sure these won't be rankings. This is just gonna a list of 250 players in alphabetical order. I could be wrong though.
  6. And also to be fair some of the players they listed as "Not Quite" were pretty damn good players at there schools. I'd say a 50% success rate is pretty good. I'd assume no where near 50% of two or three stars pan out.
  7. Your prayers may have already been answered.
  8. Except that would be a recruiting violation. I'd prefer to steer clear of any of those. I dont think it is, because Suh has talked to him from what has been said on here. I think it can be when coaches talk to him, not really sure. Suh talked to him when he came here on an official visit and was part of the Nebraska football program. Now hes an alumni and cannot talk to potential recruits. As a former player Suh is considered a "representative of athletic interests" and is prohibited from promoting the University to recruits. prior relationship Doesn't matter and they had little to no prior relationship. They knew each other were and have talked before but that is not gonna fly. If Suh goes out of this way to recruit Owa we open ourselves up to recruiting violations. This is why Suh has not talked to Owa since the official. Pelini and Co. are smart enough not to tread that water.

  11. Umm no. Cody got caught banging an underaged boosters daughter. Good try though.
  12. Fixed it for you. Neither are going anywhere.
  13. Nope we are the team to beat. It would take an epic collapse of a season for this kid not to end up in Red.
  14. Alot of Big XII have almost completed recruiting? Colorado - 4 commits Missouri - 7 commits Iowa State - 5 commits Kansas State - 5 commits Kansas - 7 commits Baylor - 7 commits Texas Tech - 10 commits Oklahoma State - 11 commits Oklahoma - 15 commits Texas - 19 commits Texas A&M - 19 commits Aside from Texas, A&M, and Oklahoma there is alot of recruiting left to be done in the Big XII. I swear people have selective amnesia when it comes to recruiting. Texas does this every single year yet people manage to freak out every single year when they compare the amounts commits early on between us and Texas.
  15. Its very very early in the process but things are looking very good with both Green and Moore (both probable 5 stars).
  16. DT is one position that takes a bit of time to grow into. Its rare to see Frosh DT be a complete stud. Baker should see alot of snaps this year and will provide great depth but I wouldn't expect to see his true breakout year until his So. or Jr. year.
  17. Reeves was the commit the poster was referring too.
  18. It is not looking very likely that Blake will be playing again. Concussions aren't something to mess around with and Blake has bright future outside of football that shouldn't risked. As far as defensive breakout player goes I'm going with Fisher. He's basically the LB that always gonna be on the field no matter the defensive scheme we are in. 6' 6" LBs don't come around to often and this year will only be taste of what he's gonna offer down the line. Also from a post above its not 100% that Chris Williams will redshirt next year. The odds are still pointing that direction but he's recovering nicely and an impressive fall camp could change everything. Eric Martin should see some PT next year though. The future at LB is looking very promising for years to come.
  19. Okay, I believe a dose of reality is appropriate here so let's contrast NU and KU by position groups: QB...Edge...KU. The Jayhawks return an experienced QB while the Huskers will be breaking in a first year starter. Although by the time the two teams actually meet the whole "experience" advantage will be a no factor. RB...Edge...NU. Roy Helu and Quentin Castille are the two main guys who ran quite impressively against you last year. WR...Edge NU...While KU has a slight edge in the WR spot because of the return of Briscoe...Nebraska has a substantial edge at the TE spot. OL...Even...I think on paper Nebraska is better but that's kind of difficult to quantify so I'll call it even. DL...Edge...NU...Kansas doesn't even have anyone remotely close to the caliber of N. Suh on their DL. LB...Edge...NU...you saw how good Nebraska's LB's were last year when we had a converted running back and two walk-ons manning the LB spots. Just think how good we'll be with 4-6 redshirted scholarship players. DB...Unknown...I'm not real sure how our DB's stack up so I'll refrain from analyzing it too much. I think you have to give KU the edge in WR. Briscoe and Meier will be very, very good. Our tight ends are probably better, but I doubt any of them are the game breakers that Briscoe and Meier are. Other than that I think you nailed it. Agreed on the WR part. Also I don't think we can say we have the edge at LB till some of these players produce results on the field. I would give the edge to NU at the LB spot. Heck we have already seen May, Holt, Lawrence, and Dillard on the field vs. KU and those players may not even be the starters this year. Our D allowed 35 points. May had one tackle, Lawrence had one assisted tackle, Holt and Dillard didn't even record a tackle. I'm not saying KU has a huge edge (its actually probably a wash) but we have too much uncertainly at LB to say we have the edge right now. LB is one the positions I'm most excited about because if we're basing an edge on potential then yes we absolutely have the edge but once again potential doesn't always translate over when the lights come on.

So basically my breakdown would be KU - 3 NU - 3 Even - 2 and truthfully the fact they have a very good returning QB probably outweighs all of the other comparisons. I still think we beat KU next year but its certainly not as cut and dry as some on here think.
  21. Taylor Potts at 2? I think Potts will be pretty good QB but to rank him ahead of Colt before he has ever even started a game is pretty asinine.
  22. I think people are treating you like a POS because of the way you defended your position, how serious your position is, and the fact that there are no official sources. On the internet, or in anything in life, that combination spells disaster. I understand the way you feel, but those three things I stated are really tough for people to go along with easily. I know that you didn't say we HAD to believe you, but the way you reacted it seemed almost as if we either had to accept it or we were being naive. See the conundrum? And I agree with the other poster, I think you should really involve yourself in other aspects of the board instead of just posting in here. Simply posting in here seems sort of fishy, and further promotes people to less discuss what you are saying in a civilized manner. So, hope you stick on this board and discuss other things, but I think for now further involvement in this thread won't help anybody. I'd say a lot of what you said here is pretty fair. Its probably time to let this go at least until new information made public.
  23. And once again you're moving away from our original discussion about the law. Quit ducking the fact that you were wrong. I like the way you work though, you call someone out for there inability to read something, get proven wrong multiple times and then change the subject as quick as possible. My comment about Kenny Wilson was an obvious lie? Hmmm, lets see I said I made it up before anyone questioned me on it. Great work there detective. This topic has become a weird obsession for you .You have been a member for two years, and half of you're 77 posts are in this thread. In fact, you don't post in any other threads at all. Its like you want everyone to give you a cookie for second hand information that you think is 100% true. Did you ever think that Kenny Wilson does not like Cody, and is spreading false rumors? A few years ago Cody was ahead of Kenny on the depth chart, and alot of times that creates hard feelings between players. Get over it dude, just like the rest of us, you only know about rumors and nothing more. Even though this is just a message board, you are slandering a former Husker, and that is not cool at all. If the truth ever come out, which I doubt it ever will, and you are correct, we will all give you that cookie that you so desperately want. First off, Kenny Wilson didn't tell Brasky anything. Quite funny but he made that up to get everyone off his back about giving a source. So in all reality, his information is still being thrown out on the board with no real source given. Lets see, everyone complained about me not giving a source. I made one up and I got chastised for throwing my made up source under the bus. I guess you are damned if you and damned if you don't on here sometimes. I didn't say anything about you throwing a source under the bus. Im pretty sure Kenny Wilson wouldn't appriciate you telling how many people that he told you Cody comitted Stat. Rape. Not only that but the things you are saying about Cody are pretty serious things. Based on what the law states, you are trying to convince people that Cody Glenn slept with a girl under the age of 16 years old and then her father decided to keep it on the down low. Hmmm... I dont know about you, but I find that hard to believe. You are also saying that Bo and TO knew about this and didn't report it to the law. Why in the world would they risk that? To save Cody? HIGHLY DOUBTFUL! I have feeling though after Cody opened his big mouth the truth is gonna find its way out in the next couple of weeks. This sort of thing is not what University needs. Wrong. If its true, the girl and her father would have to go to the police for the story to break. And I'm sure no matter how much it would hurt the University, that is what you would want, just so you could be proven right on a freakin message board. I can't even put into words how pathetic that is. Also, I looked and could not find any other recent thread that you have posted in. Time to move on son, you're rumor will never be proven right. I don't enjoy the fact the University will get hurt but they made a poor decision they are going to have to live with. Whatever, if telling the truth is pathetic so be it. Next time I'll just shut up and just let you all live in your happy world of flowers and cotton candy. I just love the fact that other people screw up and I'm the a-hole for reporting what happened. I didn't have sex was an underage girl, I didn't refuse to go to the police, and I didn't sweep anything under rug and simply dismiss a player. Like I said multiple times if so many on here wouldn't treat me like such as POS for telling what happened I probably would have let this die awhile but I kept getting sucked back in. I'm sure if you knew something to be true yet you were constantly blasted and called liar you'd stand up for yourself too.
  24. Why on earth would you want the recruits to take a bunch more visits to other schools after they visit us? We want them to commit early, keep recruiting them until signing day, and hope they don't take any more visits. Texas has over 20 early commits, and I can almost guarantee they wont be taking any other visits. Cause if they're not 100% and want to take more visits then you let them. I'd rather have a kid take all his visits and be 100% sure he wants to be Husker than commit now and then switch down the line because he wonders what else is out there. If these kids commit early, we back off recruiting other players, then if these kids decommit we are put in a bad position. Ya Texas has alot early commits but recruiting for the majority of country does not work that way. Texas is one the exceptions not the norm.
  25. I guess the thing is even if I was to give up source would you all of the sudden believe my story? I really don't think me telling people who I told me this really gonna sway anyone's opinion until the story publicly comes out. Given all this I'd rather just keep there name off these boards.
