  1. The WV spread is ran by many HS teams and it can be ran by NU. Their West Coast scheme is to complex for kids. USC plays true freshmen at many offensive spots, but NU can't. Simplify and mix in some QB runs more and play more kids at RB!
  2. http://www.redraiders.com/2009/10/15/fifty...ed-for-ou-game/ Sheffield performs bad and RRs get killed in Lincoln and Potts returns the hero after sitting out while recovering from concussion.
  3. Texas, they haven't played anyone and have not looked impressive in doing so and are ranked in the top 5 and might not be that good at all.
  4. Okie State lost to Houston at home, and you face Texas in the Big 12 game, if you both make it, so NU hasn't dodged anyone. The Cowboys ain't the same team w/o Bryant and Hunter.
  5. 1997 team DESTROYED TAMU in Alamodome in SA.
  6. Washington Huskies and CU gottem also.
  7. UT runs a 4-3/3-4 and their OLBs can be muscled on. The running game needs to be mastered and depth at RB must be developed to take advantage of the great defense being played in Lincoln. At least 3 I-backs are needed, Helu takes to much of a beating, he needs 2 fresh guys behing him at least!
  8. Burkhead and Robinson both played on tough DFW area 5A teams and played vs the best comp in HS. They figure they are more likely to adjust than a kid from Nebraska?
  9. Green fumbled, just not as much and the blackshirts could cover for him. He was also drafted low because of LP despite having a great combine/wo. and fastest 40 and great vertical.
  10. Sheffield is a Texas 4A two time semis QB and he is VERY mobile/quick, not just a running DE/TE like Gabert.
  11. This team can beat Ut and they are #15 for losing on the road in a game they dominated, while that same team is rewarded for losing to Bama and beating Miami at home.
  12. Penn State had no defense and Michigan had no offense. Florida have never gone undefeated and they play a weak schedule beyond LSU and the SEc title game. They squeaked by UT and LSU.
  13. His HS Euless Trinity runs an offense sim to old NU offense, with zone blocking from the I and some spread and option mixed in. He played FB and I-back when they won their 2nd title in 2007. They play physical football.
  14. OL can hold, that's how they block now days.
  15. Sheffield lead Pflugerville Connally to back to back 4A state semifinals. His senior year he had 34 TDs and 3 INTs on a team with 2 1000 yard rushers. He was 6'4" and like 160 lbs and always mobile. I saw him toss 7 TDs on 9 attempts in one half of a playoff game. He should have been recruited by more schools.
  16. Tech scored 24 to UT's 34 despite the refs calling every penalty on the RRs and virtually none on UT, including the hlemet to helmet hit on Potts by Kindle after Tech had pulled close and the no fumble call when Duncan flipped McCoy and he fumble and Duncan recovered.
  17. Those blackshirts were aided by a very good/great offense most years.
  18. They should have been 4 deep from jump!!!
  19. Stoops HC 10 years, 6 Big 12 titles, 3 in a row, 1 MNC, 4 MNC games and a 6-4 record vs UT and Mack Brown. Stoops beats Brown in every area, save for playing in the most Holiday Bowls. Brown has 1 conference title in 24 years!
  20. ESPN 360 has every game not on ABC or EsPN blackouts.
  21. Tech has more WRs than last year, that they throw to.
  22. Better play all of them, Helu won't make it all the way with all the carries, the others have to play.
  23. No WR to key and Sheffield and Potts spread it around and Batch is recovered from arm injury that hampered him vs UT. Potts holds the ball to long, Sheffield needs to start and if he messes up let Potts replace him.
  24. All the refs are from Texas, including some that live in Austin.
  25. Blackshirts get to see if they are legit vs a true speed team from the South.
