  1. Thanks. I wish the game was going to be on T.V. I hope to at least find it on Big Red Wrap Up. It will be awesome to see the 80,000+ for the Red-White game.
  2. I was listening to KEZO (Z-92 out of Omaha) and heard "We Will Rock You" by Warrant. I got this image in my head of Highlights of the 2008 Husker Spring Game with the Warrant song playing in the back. I don't have the knowledge of how to put a video like this together. If somebody could put it together for me it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. I think it's 7. I believe you can have 7 total spots now. It used to be 8 spaces I believe, but now... How about BLKSHRT HUSKRZ IM4NU
  4. The BLACKSHIRTS are back, and they're ready to strike fear into opposing offenses!
  5. I agree. I'd walk away from the TV upset and when you'd go to the bar to watch a game, you'd hear booing or nothing at all. Nebraska got walked all over last year. It's like this years theme should be "Setting things straight in '08". Nebraska's powerhouse program was and will be awesome again. I loved seeing an opposing QB's line give up on the game. That and watching a running back just freeze with the ball knowing he was going to get hit. Husker Power is back! 6h55FzRJLbc
  6. Nebraska born from birth. Cornhusker Fan by the Grace of God. Seriously though, my family bleeds Husker Red. My Wife is from Northwest Iowa and most of her family are Iowa State and Hawkeye fans, but she was born in Nebraska before her family lived in Iowa again so she's a Cornhusker fan too.
  7. I hear that Bill Callahan has put on a little weight since he's left Lincoln I think I found an image of him. Talk about letting yourself go.
  8. That looks pretty sweet. Is that done with Photoshop or did you do something while developing a picture in a darkroom? I like how it draws your eyes all over the image too. Please make more.
  9. Having the walk on program in Nebraska is a must. Imagine the mind set it gives the scholarship players. You have a young man who wants to be a Cornhusker so much he'll take on the responsibility of paying his own way. There is going to be a lot of determination in the football team this year. Who was it that said in years past that young men who come to Nebraska don't walk on, "They crawl there". ?
  10. I met Christian Peter once at Hooters in Omaha. I was with my family and my Dad and I went over to say hello and Christian Peter signed my Dad's '94-'95 Champions Jacket. My Dad is all of 5ft 6in and runs about 165 lbs and at the time he was in his 50's, and when my Dad was talking to Christian, Christian Peter was first class saying "Yes Sir, Thank you Sir." I shook Christian's hand and it wasn't like a "death grip", but he had a very firm handshake. Christian carried himself very well. I liked both the Christian Brothers, Tomich, Grant Wistrom, and I idolized Trev Alberts.
  11. If the AAFL would get a team in Lincoln, I'd go to the games. Does anybody know if the AAFL is going to get any TV time? Hopefully it does. In all honesty, if Vince McMahon would have come up with the AAFL's approach, instead of the confusing XFL, he might have had something there.
  12. That is totally awesome! I could totally see that hanging in the locker room to fire up the defense!
  13. I found myself rooting against USC last night too. Talk about running up the score. It's one thing to run a play and to have the defense have to stop you, but the Flip into the end zone was so dang early in the game. It would have been GREAT to have Missouri against USC in the Rose Bowl. I'm hoping that in '08 somebody treats USC with the same lack of respect. Of course then the USC coach will be crying foul.
  14. I'm heading to Husker Hounds tonight to exchange my "BOnes" t-shirt. I got a XL and it needs to be an XXL. I can't wait to look around the store at all the t-shirts and stuff. I'm going to be stocking up through 2008.
  15. I wonder what "Yes Man" is going to be about? I hope that Jim Carey is a Cornhusker Fan and doesn't try to make us look like a bunch of hillbillies. How do you cast people to depict Fans that bleed scarlet red? Possibly the "Californians for Nebraska" will try to be cast into the movie.
  16. In response to the Players who changed their commitment to Colorado over Nebraska, Sorry you couldn't a part of something Special starting in 2008. You'll realize your error once the seasons have started. GO BIG RED!
  17. Shows how much you are the real dave as laura always handled the volleyball team, mike and fish worked with the baseball team, Brian the track and field team, and wresting and basketball aren't even in the same building. I'm sorry, I stand corrected. I'm just trying to say that maybe he had something to do with more than just the Football Team.
  18. Yup, This is the same Dave Kennedy who worked as a Assistant Strength Coach under Boyd Eppley, who went on to Ohio State and was thanked BY NAME by Eddie George when George won the Heisman. He also helped numerous Players at Ohio State prepare for the NFL. Dave Kennedy brought some good to Pittsburgh in the 2002 and 2003 season. I guess Dave Kennedy only conditioned the Nebraska Football Team, so his career at Nebraska is a bust. Oh wait, Being the Strength and Conditioning Coach, he might have something to do with the Volleyball team (Then again the Volleyball team didn't win Back to Back this year, so there is a major bust), The Basketball team (Who just upset Oregon), and The Baseball team not to mention other sports. I'm not trying to read to much into people's posts, but in all honesty, I feel like we're trying to point fingers here until everyone that was hired by Bill Callahan or was a part of the Callahan era is gone there isn't going to be satisfaction. I wish Kennedy well and hope he has unlimited Success in the future. I'll get off my Soap Box now.
  19. I think that Lucky will stay so that he can be a part of the 2008 Cornhuskers and finish his time at Nebraska in a good/awesome way. Not taking anything away from the Cornhuskers Running Backs, Lucky will be an asset to the team. He is going to be a great leader if he stays too and will probably be a Captain if he stays on for 1 more year.
  20. I like the Skull and Cross Bones one too. Another cool heading is... "Bad to the BOne"
  21. I can remember when Nebraska would use the song "Start Me Up" by Rolling Stones and that had guitar riff at the beginning. I'm not sure I'm familiar with what they were using currently why change a good thing? Oh that's right, I just have to remember who our AD was. On another note, did Nebraska use "Hells Bells" this year by ACDC for the Defense or "The Imperial March" from the Star Wars movies for the defense at all anymore?
  22. I'm hoping that Lucky stays on for his Senior Year, as far as others transferring or moving on to the NFL, I think a lot of players are going to stay on to be a part of, "Something Special" as Pelini put it. I can't wait to see how Pelini does with recruiting, and there is no doubt the players will practice in full pads and get the conditioning. It's great having a head coach who has a defensive mindset. He'll know both sides of the ball, and will be able to pick up what the defense is showing you. I think Pelini will have a very positive impact and impression right away.
  23. I can't wait to have Bo Pelini on the sidelines during the games. Watching the stuff on TV where they have showed him pumping up the Nebraska Defense, and when Pelini was the Coach for the bowl game, this guy bleeds Football. You could see it in his eyes, he is PROUD to be back in Nebraska. He's going to have the young man fired up, and you'll see him very enthusiastic on the sidelines. He's going to be bringing in a awesome coaching staff too. I have a feeling some prior Nebraska players might be getting into the mix too. Who else would love to see Trev Alberts as the Defensive Coach? I know I do, I can't wait to see what transpires from here on out.
  24. Great Video. The music really fits too. I guess it's safe to say who you'd like as Nebraska's next Head Coach.
  25. Which one of the Mikes is it that looks like "Boner" from Growing Pains? How could Nebraska not be a 10? Look at the other Universities that have had some down times, Oklahoma, USC, the list goes on and on.. To say Nebraska's Coaching Job is something nobody wants shows that somebody didn't do their homework. Nebraska has been a powerhouse before and shall rise again. Before Osborne and Devaney (sp), Didn't Nebraska go through a slew of Coaches? I remember reading once that a former Coach for Nebraska resigned because he said "Nebraska Fans Expect Too Much". Nebraska isn't the girl at the bar who thinks she's a 10 but she's really a 7, She's the 10 who's hair is a little messy or she doesn't dress like a tramp. She's an 8 with potential.
