  1. Not entirely sure, I know a lot of stores in Lincoln carry the looser fit, workout shirts by Adidas. Your best bet would be to call husker headquarters or huskers authentic and mention what you're specially looking for. I'm guessing you're probably not the first person to look for them and they'd know what you're talking about. Good luck!
  2. Class act for the AD and Head Coach to blame the medical staff, the smartest individuals on Michigan's sideline.
  3. I just saw that Michigan State has about 1000 outstanding tickets, interested in how many husker fans we can expect there? I thoroughly enjoy seeing our fan base take over the opponent's home turf, might help with the hostile crowd factor a bit too.
  4. Ya. 10 yards/carry is pretty bad. he was absolutely shut down til midway through the 4th where he got two huge runs. But I mean yeah gassed or not it's all the same I suppose. I don't know how many yards/carry he got in today's game. That # is his average in the first games he played. I know the SEC is overrated but that doesn't mean he doesn't absolutely deserve to be considered a top 5 heisman candidate at this point. First games he played, which is diluting the fact that he hardly even played in the second half against South Carolina. So the sample set is now a game against Clemson (granted he was great this game) and Troy (who could make a second string back look like a front-runner). Pretty easy at that point to have good numbers. The Heisman should be give to an every down player, someone who does everything he can for the team. With that said, I'd put Ameer and Gordon above Gurley. Thus my reasoning for the comment earlier.
  5. Remember when Tommy converted a 4th and 22 on an athletic run.....that was pretty neat.
  6. Tell you what fellas, if we continue to take care of business and improve - there is no reason we don't win out and get into the playoffs. There is no team in the country that is absolutely dominating and people can complain all they want about two SEC teams not making the playoff but if we take care of the B1G - meaning we have to go undefeated because Wisconsin doesn't have another game on their schedule other than us they should lose to, we are in. And I'd like our chances against any of the teams I watched today. The SEC is overhyped and overvalued.
  7. I must say, after beating an unranked team at home Georgia has to fall. Oh crap, that was a conference game? Top 10 or the polls are absolutely rigged. Golly, Georgia is so dominant. In other news, Gurley had been pretty uninspiring in the games I've watched. Sat out nearly all the second half of the South Carolina game and a lot of today's game. But hell, he's SEC - deserves the heisman.
  8. The only hesitation I have before I'm fully on board the kool-aid train is how good is that Miami team we played and beat? Lets say they go 5-7 or 6-6, does that win seem as impressive at the end of the season as it does today? Heck I think their fans honestly believe they will lose to Duke this weekend. With that being said, I think I am in the same boat as many here, my main take away from the game is that our team possessed a different attitude and mentality - one that we haven't seen in sometime. Listening to Bo's presser today gave me confidence that it isn't just one or two people on each side of the ball that get it, but almost everyone (from the players to the coaches) seems to be on board and willing to do whatever they can to make this season one to remember.
  9. Define "better than." That seems to imply we have some egotism regarding the way we behave toward other teams or their fans. We don't. We're just nice, like typical Nebraskans. You go to most any little town, you say you're from Washington or Vermont or Kentucky & we'll typically say "Welcome to Nebraska" or "What brings you here," or some other nicety. We'd be pretty rotten sacks of crap if we truly thought we were "better than" anybody else. We're just nice. We're welcoming - even to Miami fans, despite how their team behaved. We had five or six Miami fans in our section. They were treated nicely, everyone talked to them throughout the game, any bitterness was directed toward the field, not them, and when they left, as we wished them a safe ride home, they remarked how they had been treated better here than anywhere else they'd been. Nobody was being friendly toward them out of some variation of "we're better than you," it was just Nebraskans being Nebraskans. That's all that happens at Memorial Stadium. Better than/worse than/same as... that's a weird, immeasurable metric. While I agree with most of what you said, I would say there is a sense of pride taken out of our hospitality that is on the verge of egotistic. One example is the fact we have an entire thread dedicated to the compliments we receive from visiting fans about their time here, most of which are second hand account from HB members. That just seems like too much back-patting to me. Again, just my opinion - feel free to disagree.
  10. Probably not showing up on the Week 3 Scoreboard because it was originally filtered by top 25, if you select All FBS (I-A) in the sort by option it is on there. I know this was a sarcastic comment - just didn't want people to have a melt down and add fire to the "ESPN Hates Nebraska" rhetoric.
  11. I would assume this is based off the fact that Georgia and USC lost and both teams were ranked ahead of ND. Agreed, though, they did not look good at all - but hell people could say the same thing about us against McNeese or was it MacNeese? The CBSSports guys couldn't figure that out last night.
  12. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/polls/smg-usat/2014/4/ ...makes sense.
  13. Pretty sure his back was turned to the play and he had no idea it was a punt. If you watch the play, at the very end he makes a punting motion and an "oh crap" face. I just think he thought it was a pass and was knocking it away.
  14. How the hell does the mountain west have a championship game rap and we don't? Geez, that was neat.
  15. Based off of what I saw at the end of the bonehead play from santos, I think he thought it was a throw, made a punt motion afterwards and an "oh shoot" face. Also, Gregory getting cut every time he's out there.
  16. Go figure we wait all day to play and will have to wait a tad bit longer for Utah State & Wake Forest to finish so we can actually see the game.
  17. I know past results have been bad, but I honestly think all whites are a great look. Watching ok state against buffalo on Friday made me wish we did the all white look more often.
  18. Currently dating an SMU grad, this seemed to be the best for both parties. The university, especially some big time boosters, hasn't been happy with Jones since 2011 after the move he tried to pull when he thought he had the Arizona State job locked up. He came crawling back and it hasn't been the same since. Sounds like he wanted to resign because he wants to continue coaching and knows that an 0-12 record would not do anything to help his stock. Pretty sad when the university is more excited for basketball season than football season, especially when you're talking about a school in Texas.
  19. Great post! It is a pretty awesome bond that is established between a father and son when traveling and attending games in Lincoln. I have been making the trip for 18 years with my ole man, like the song says "There is no place like Nebraska".
  20. 34-0 now, as a Nebraska fan in Texas - I love it.
