  1. Nice work! Thanks for putting in the effort to bring that information to us. , couldn't have said it better Thanks I appriate it, took a little while to find the info but it made for a good read.
  2. I actually did all the research myself, got alot of the info from various websites, etc. I'll be posting the rest of the teams...its a long off season.
  3. We all know that its way to early to be talking (predicting) about wins/losses. So let’s talk about match up's instead. We all know about the Huskers but let’s learn about our opponents. Let’s start with Florida Atlantic: FAU Owl's 7-6, (4-2) National Stats: #42 in Total Offense #62 in Scoring Offense #25 in Passing Offense #67 in Rushing Offense #93 in Total Defense #82 in Scoring Defense #81 in Pass Defense #99 in Rush Defense Sun Belt Conference Stats (per game): #4 in Total Offense: 393.5 #4 in Scoring Offense: 25.1 #1 in Passing Offense: 254.8 #5 in Rushing Offense: 138.8 #5 in Total Defense: 400.4 #5 in Scoring Defense: 28.7 #6 in Pass Defense: 221.3 #5 in rushing Defense: 179.08 Most embarrassing loss: 52-10 vs. Texas Most embarrassing win: 57-50 (OT) vs. Florida International Most impressive win: 24-21 vs. Central Michigan, Motor City Bowl. Most heart breaking loss: 14-13 vs. Middle Tennessee State. Key Offensive returning player: QB Rusty Smith (RS Senior) 2008 Stats: 127.82 QB Rating (#5 in Conf.), 3,224 Passing yards (#1 in Conf.), 24 Passing TD's & 2 Rushing TD's Career Stats: 8,198 yards, 62 TD's Key Defensive returning player: DB Ed Alexander (RS Junior) 2008 Stats: 26 solo tackles, 16 assisted tackles, 42 total tackles, 3 Int's, 2 pass breakups Florida Atlantic has played eight seasons of college football, three at the major level, and already has a winning streak in bowl games. Florida Atlantic began playing at the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) in 2001 and moved to the Football Bowl Subdivision level in 2006 but has won both its postseason games (2007 and 2008). The Owls defeated Memphis last year in the New Orleans Bowl. Rusty Smith threw for 307 yards and two second-half touchdowns to help the Owls beat Central Michigan 24-21 in the Motor City Bowl. Coach Schnellenberger is 6–0 in college football bowl games, he coached Miami & Louisville too two bowl wins each, in addition to the two now for FAU. Schnellenberger has been married to Beverlee for over 40 years. His son, Stephen, was diagnosed as an infant with a rare form of endocrine cancer but lived a normal childhood and became an insurance broker in Florida; however, during a 2003 surgery, his heart stopped and he suffered brain damage that left him in a semi-comatose state. Subsequently, Stephen's parents cared for him at their home in Boca Raton, Florida until his death on March 9, 2008. (Our Condolences Coach!) This team has a huge upswing in momentum at the end of the season. But they have lost many key starters to graduation. Look for this game to be a nice testing ground for NU's pass defense against FAU's offense. Look for the ground game to be pretty nonexistent against NU. They did have a 1k yard rusher in Pierre last year, but their best returning rusher William Rose only had 307 yards on 62 attempts last season. They also have a slew of returning talent in the WR position. Cortez Gent is there leading returning WR, he finished #4 in the conference with 59 catches for 900 yards and 9 TD's. Gent is followed by TE Jamari Grant with 45 catches for 642 yards and 4 TD's. FAU's passing offense should stretch the field and provide for good matchups against NU's young linebackers. Defensively look for NU to run, run and more run. FAU has a middle of the pack front 4 that should be no match for NU's line. The only strength of this FAU defense has to be in the secondary. FAU had 13 int's and 17 forces fumbles for the year and opponents averaged just over 37% on third down conversions last year. Look for this to be a perfect opportunity for NU's new QB or QB's to test the waters against a decent (not great) just decent secondary.
  4. Your home games look like fun, FSU should be a hell of a game. I would be a little shaky about the away games, sCocks & GT ouch! I really hope your AD schedules a quality team for non-confrence, Coastal Carolina. Central Michigan & Middle Tenn St isn't gonna help with the voters if you make a run. Maybe the AD will try and get a home & away with Neb in the future. If you guys take care of business in the non confrence then you will proabably have great momentum going into confrence play. Should be fun to watch the ACC this year, just hope its not like last year with everyone going 4-4 in confrence.
  5. Last I knew he was working out with the Pacers, Pacers, Aleks Maric
  6. Tried to find a 2009 schedule for clemson but couldn't find it on the official or espn sites. Whats your guys schedule look like next year?
  7. LOL compairing option offense WR's vs WCO WR's is like No matter what no one is right, Yes records are broken but two totally different offensive schemes are gonna mess with any records. IMO if your gonna rank WR's then rank only those with there peers in the respective offensive scheme's.
  8. Ganz and Keller had total respect for one another and even thought POOH! happened. The two did the best they could given what the coaching staff gave them. IMO this has been a since the end of last season.
  9. From one of the replay views though it looked like Spiller tried to stay inbounds after the first hit. Then Lawrence came over top of Wortman and pushed him out. He didn't throw the ball full force just side armed it at him. Still obvious frustration from Spiller.
  10. You passed - you click real good!! You're a smart lil' Husker! LOL
  11. Reed was working with the tight ends in practice. Honestly I couldn't answer this question straight up. I got to watch a couple of spring camp practices, to include scrimages. Witt looked better than Lee did but no one really stood out as the clear cut number 1 or in this case number 2. There are too many variables that come into play, injury, fall/spring camp performance, academics & the all important Strength & Conditioning. We can hype all we want but I will reserve my judgement till I see next years camps.
  12. Nope cause in this day and age, every game is a big game. This season is gonna be what it will be, and I will continue to cheer the huskers on reguardless if they play like last week, or this week. But I am routing for them to play like they did today for the rest of the season, GBR!
  13. Everyone has something to learn....even Bo. TO did the same things and learned from them Bo will do the same.
  14. This is the kind of effort we needed to spring board this team for the rest of the season.
  15. Cause Murillo is too busy watching the quarterback for the screen passes.
  16. Watchin the game and drinking a big pitcher of koolaid. Anyone else feel the same lol. This game right here is showing just how diffrent this team is compaired to last year.
  17. Because Bo really wants to win now!......but seriously /shrug who knows I'm not the head coach
  18. Just a tib bit from Rivals 120 rankings: 57. NEBRASKA (3-2) THE BUZZ: Apparently, Bo Pelini doesn't have a magic wand that he can wave over the Huskers' defense and say, "Get good." NEXT: Saturday, at Texas Tech. Got a chuckle out of that,
  19. LOL, that would be funny to hear in the post game comments from Daniel. "Everytime I would walk by the down markers I would get soaked. I don't know if god was playing a trick but I swear it would rain everytime walked over there." P.S. People have cameras to that game cause if Cy really does take out lil' red I want to see that on Youtube.
  20. Cy I know your reading this, Save us oh please dear god SAVE US!
  21. I think it has more to do with the media wanting to watch Cy and his chain gain duties on the sidelines. Or maybe people will want to watch not just for the game but to really see if Cy puts Little Red to rest. Dam, almost seems like a PPV, Cy the Cyclone VS. Lil' Red
  22. lol Thats what alot of people on this board need to ask themselfs.
