Pinicle..eh. They have seen success but like all programs it slips away. There have been good KSU teams but they are few and far between. Ill give them credit were its due. Shame prince isn't have any luck getting these kids to play at there full potential. I would rather watch an intence game between two good playing teams than watch a complete blow out.

If I could come to the game I would have a sign that says. "I Cheer for the Down Marker Guy! GO CY!!!!" I heard he killed a man too, using only his thumb.

I think he did a great job of recruiting well even though the team struggled. I don't know if he did or did not write checks his body couldn't cash to these kids or not. But he did bring the telent in here. Shame he tried to develop them like they already played college ball. Had the balls to bring a pass happy mentality to the option minded people of Nebraska. Most coaches nationwide new that they would face ridicule from the Nebraska fans if they were to even attempt what callahan did. It really hurt him in the end to jump head first into that fire. But now we have Watson and NU fans have become somewhat accustomed to a passing offense, but we will see a better run team in the future with Pelini.

Thats all that matters to me personally. Find your happy medium boys and kick some searious tail this year. Stats would be nice but lets win games first then worry about hype later.

Dag Yo! that was harsh Huskerjock. Its called a ripple effect, but I do think that VT will have a decent O-Line for any back that fills the slot. Now that its early enough those backs will all have a renewed shot at a starting spot and usually that brings out the best.

The thing I got the most from that article was: Great analogy, Nebraska fans at a basketball game are not use to sucess. Even if ESPN comes to town for a basketball game the fans aint gonna go completely bonkers if they havn't done that for a team in 10 years. The fan base aint there yet, and I stress yet. Doc is doing a wonderful job in getting the program to were it needs to be. Hes showing the kids that they can beat ranked opponents. You have to look at the games themselfs when you want to ask about fan base's. NU vs KSU football, heated and hated come to mind. NU vs KSU BB, ??? exactly, theres really no history there. Thats something that cant be built up over night. If Doc can continue to win games consistantly then the fan base is sure to increase to the times. It seems every 10 years we get a BB team that manages to come close/or does break into the top 25. But 10 years is three generations in tearms of alumni. Im sorry peeps but thats a long time to say too.

As far as I can remember he had no problem with staff members. In fact I can remember one time that Nebraska use to be known for having the most time in school of staff members out of every NCAA school. I remember a while back that NU use to have a total of 85 years coaching the Huskers with the entire staff. I think that was 2 years before TO resigned. I would actually have to spend the time to dig up the numbers to check but I think Im about right with the thought.

I totally agree, we have had so many legends here but they have all been few and far between. We are so desprite now a days with the hype and the media availble that we want every kid to be able to live up to the expectations we all so despratly crave. With that said and the style offense played today I honestly will be compairing every future QB to Zac Taylor. Why Zac, well he was an exceptional leader, provided a breath of fresh air during a time of transition that could have been a very diffrent story. As far as future backs being compaired, we have had too many backs to even mention. Ill be happy and content for all our backs to do the job and what is needed to be done to win the games. I don't care about being legandary. I care about winning games. I just want someone to score touchdowns. Heck with hundred yard games. I would be perfectly happy with a back that ran less than 100 yards but had 2-3 TD's a game. Winning is the most important thing here. Not the hype not the conceptions of people but the team as a whole coming together and winning. Thats why the patch says Nebraska, A Winning Tradition!

AKA QQ more! NFL scouts QQ more! College/HS coaches are going todo what is needed to win. Not what the NFL wants then to produce, Buck the status quo.

LOL What ever game I can make it too. I might get luck and be in the states during the season. But I will say this if/when NU makes it to a bowl I will most likly be there.
