Nothing worrisome about the defense dude, they played very well for 98% of the snaps....not gonna rehash what happened on the other two percent. Defense is fine, getting the plays in and fine tunning the offense is what we need to work on. Defense pitches a shutout on Saturday.GBR Good call!

When ranking a team I look at it this way: can we honestly say that if Nebraska played 119 other schools, there are only 5 they would lose to/not be favored in? Cause I can think of more than five teams that would probably beat Nebraska right now. Same reason I said that the CFN rankings after Week 4 were atrocious. USC at 18? Can you really say that there are 17 teams that are better than USC? No way in hell. Would you have said WASHINGTON would beat USC? Oregon State? Stanford? Probably not. This is college football. Anything can happen on any given Wed, Thurs or Saturday. Again it is a "Power Ranking" not an AP poll.

Your overlooking something. The game had NEVADA in it. U of N is in RENO. Lines are created to generate equal betting, not predict scores. SO what fan base to you think has a easier time placing bets. Ones that bet illegally through bookies across the country. Or ones that walk across the street to their sports book?? As i posted on a different thread Ricky did tear his ACL and is having surgery later this week. He will be out for the rest of the season but can get a medical and play next year. Larry has a high ankle sprain but should be fine for the Mizzu game. Sucky I hate to say it but there is NO WAY Rickey qualifies for a medical. He has played in ALL 4 games. Remember, that INCLUDES speacial teams! He won't get this year of eligibility back. I wish he could.

Carl Alberts football coach just said that Oku's buddy Lowe will NOT be going to Nebraska for his visit as originally planned.

It's hard not to look at the situation and think Nebraska may have an upperhand. He is keeping us as his last vist AND his buddy is going to visit with him. I feel pretty good about it but we all know that doesn't mean a damn thing. What helps me sleep at night I guess.

Still keeps us as his last visit though, so I guess that could be the silver lining.
