  1. Yep, Blaine got hurt early in his senior year, and little bro came in as a sophmore and moved the ball better than big bro before he got hurt. The fact is, Blaine only got his stars from camps, and has never really done much on the field.
  2. Wow, you make this guy sound like an average joe. Let me see, he was Gatoraid player of the year in football, and played four years at one of the all time best basketball schools at Duke, sounds like a serious stud to me. I don't really care if he comes here or not, but average joe's don't get offered scholarships by the best schools in the country in two different sports.
  3. Do not do that. Or rather after looking at the date on your post I need to say, I really hope you didn't do that. That could, depending on your circumstances, be a NCAA recruiting violation. If you've ever donated money to the university then you are not allowed to have contact with a potential recruit. Now I'm not sure how that would work in the case of a teacher and a student but it's always best, in my view, to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. JMO. I was there again today, and did not see him. The school is like a mini college campus, and has about 600 students in each grade. I have never donated any money, but i was kidding about hunting him down. But if I do ever run in to him, I will ask him what he thought of his visit, and that I'm a Husker fan from Lincoln.
  4. I don't know, but I'm subbing at his h.s tomarrow, so if I see him, I will ask him..lol.
  5. Only guessing here --- but I'd predict that he'll be better than Ganz as a passer (at least by seasons end) and will be a very good runner, but probably not quite Lord's caliber (he was, frankly, an awesome runner). Your point is well taken, Lee should be really good at both passing and running. Now..... Mr. Lee --- please stay healthy! The word is that he has a very strong arm, which is something Ganz did not. I think we will some some long ball this season.
  6. ya mean these guy's??? Damn, look at the gut on Tommie. I think its time for Nutrisystem.
  7. Im against Marve comming in, but I'm intrigued by Paulus. Since he was a bigtime h.s QB, and has the wheels of a basketball point guard, why not give him a shot. I would love to have a good backup for Lee, and RS LTW and Green. Its not going to be another Sam Keller situation, because he will not be promised the job, and I doubt he could beat out Lee.
  8. He'd come here with absolutely no knowledge of the offense, he'd be last on the depth chart and would probably never see the field. Offering this kid a scholarship makes even less sense to me than Marve's offer. Good grief Charlie Brown, are Bo, Shawn and the rest of the Nebraska coaches losing their collective and respective minds? I think DeMareo Darrah the QB for the Iowa Lightning, a semi-pro team, has some college eligibility left...maybe Bo and Shawn should give him a call. Or, better yet one of my friends has a 13 year old son who wants to play college football let's give him a scholarship. He has just as much chance as LTW. He was National player of the year in h.s, and LTW has not played QB since h.s either. Why not get this guy, and RS LTW? I mean this guy must have some skill if the Packers are working him out. I don't think the coaches are crazy for looking at different options.
  9. I wish they would have left him at LB. The word was he was flat out dominating when they had him there. But it is nice to have a great athlete like him on O as well.
  10. Actually Cody Green is the ideal dual threat QB that Bo and Shawn both want. In other words: A QB that passes for 3,000+ yards while running for a 1,000+ yards... There isn't a college coach in the entire nation that wouldn't want a Cody Green type QB. And for you to say that Cody Green isn't a "dual-threat" type QB makes me wonder if you really understand what: 1) dual threat really means and 2) whether you know what Bo and Shawn are really looking for. You my friend are crazy if you don't think he is a duel threat QB. Go back and watch is highlight videos.
  11. He is just one year younger Nope, he is a junior to be . He is a 2011 recruit.
  12. The good thing is, the Green brothers are very close, and have said they want to play together in College. I think if we have a good season, this kid is ours for sure.
  13. Thanks for you're concern about Blake fro daddy. Yes, the rumor is that his career is over.
  14. Mizzery diver turned place-kicker turned diver might have done this ??? at least 9 semesters. Maybe one of our MU "friends" can confirm this I think he only was on the dive team for one year, before playing football. edit: yep, he only dove as a freshman. joined the football team in the spring of his freshman year, and quit diving.
  15. I'm pretty sure huskerh8ter is the guy who lives in Omaha, and even has an anti Husker website. I'm sure his life will be a living hell when we start kicking their ass again..lol
  16. This kids higlights are insane. He could be the best RB in the class of 2011 for sure.
  17. Good question, you never hear about him .
  18. next to the 18 fans that showed up Yeah, we should get as many recruits that went to the Kansas spring game to Lincoln this weekend, and show them what a real football school is like. KU will sell out the midnight madness basketball scrimage every year, yet no one goes to the spring game. KU will always be a basketball school first.
  19. We need recivers really bad in this class. I think Terry is KU's to lose, since his dad and h.s coach are both former KU players. But, KU signed some really good recivers last year, so I'm hoping he looks at that when considering schools.
  20. LMFAO...raining on your parade? I'm being realistic. I want to win as much as any of you. But for the thread starter to make a title saying this will be Bo's "coming-out party" is wishful thinking, if not delusional. No one is proclaiming Texas the national champion. But we only have 2 commits, and 1 of them is from Nebraska. So calm down and wait till the signing period is over before you start hopping and prancing like a little schoolgirl The OP did not say this would be Bo's recruiting comming out party, he asked what our thoughts were about it. But I agree that it is way to early to tell, but both recruits are very highly rated, and it is a good start.
  21. Bring it on! I wouldn't have it any other way. We'll Josh Freeman them all. I love that attitude. There are people on here that think because Texas has filled most of their 2010 class up with studs, we should go ahead and proclaim them NC for 2011, 2012 ect.. But they do this every year, and have won it all once with the one man show Vince Young. I think we are off to a great start, and when we win some big games next year, it will get even better. Stop raining on our parade Street Novelist, we should be excited that our first two recruits are rated so highly IMO.
  22. My guess is that it has to be Green. LaTravis hasn't played QB for years. (other than this spring.) Word is that he has some serious accuracy issues. Someone that seems to have a lot of inside info, posted on a blog on Huskerexta, that LTW has been blowing away Green and Spano in practice. I hope we get a good look at him in the spring game. This guy also knew about Kodys acl tear last night.
  23. McCray. I want to see him play every game like he did at Balylor next year.
