  1. You rubbed your penis in their faces? You betcha, and you're next! :: looks for smiley face that has a penis rubbing against it, but can't find a smiley :: Damn it!
  2. Ahhh yes, but let us see how this Kansas team fares against a tougher schedule. If they do well this season, they have my respect. If they have an average season, my thoughts on Kansas - and their 2007 season - will have been correct.
  3. When I first looked at the "tornado" picture, I thought it was either: fake (because if you look at the picture, there is no debris flying around, the flag looks relatively still, the trees are still, the grain silo and building are still there with no signs they are about to be sucked up) or not actually a tornado. Still not sure what it is, but it looks a little fake to me...
  4. Nooooo, that's no good! You have to have some pre-game hanky panky going on the night before. I would keep the wives with you!!!
  5. He is going to have to step it up if the Huskers are to be successful this year. The main goal for the whole team (aside from increasing intensity) is to establish a really successful running game. If we can run the ball, the team will do very well. If the running game struggles, well, the team will too. In my opinion, Lucky is the most important factor in deciding whether or not the Huskers will be successful this season.
  6. Yeah, I know a bit about college football. I read just about anything I can get my hands on, especially if the article has to do with a Big 12 team. So yeah, I have a good idea (in my mind) how each team will do this year based on the players they have, and the schedule they face. The offensive line is probably one of the most important factors when deciding how good an offense is going to be. However, I would argue that the OL for an offense like Mizzou is not as important as it has been in the past. Why? Simple. Because the offensive strategy for Mizzou is to spread the defense out. Alot of what Daniel was doing last year was quick passes. One, two, three, pass. Even if the defense is super quick, not too many defenders are going to be getting at the QB with such quick passes. So, while those two losses suck, I don't think it will effect what Mizzou is trying to do offensively. Rucker is gone, but Coffman is more than capable. It's important to note that Rucker led the team in receptions (84) and was second in term of yardage (834). Therefore, I would argue that while he was put in there to block, alot of the time he was put in there to receive. Coffman will have to stay healthy, but I think the Chase and Chase combination will be better than the Chase and Martin combo. I think the Mizzou defense will be slightly above average this season. However, if one of the LBs get injured, they may be in some trouble (not too much depth in that position for the Tigers). However, their offense tends to keep the other team's offense off the field, which is one of the reasons I think the Tigers are so dangerous. Ask me if I would rather have a team that scores fast or a team that systematically breaks down the opponent's D, drives down the field, eats up the clock, and scores...well, I think you know which one I would pick. TOP is an important aspect of the game alot of individuals overlook. My opinion is that - most of the time - if a team controls TOP, they will win the game. So, while Mizzou's defense should be able to do decent against most teams, it's just not as important if their offense is in rhythm. The offense of KU will be good, but the offense of just about every team in the Big 12 will be good. So, I don't really have too much to say about that. I have a really difficult time believing that KU will only have losses against OU and USF/Mizzou. Kansas has a good team, but with a tougher schedule this season, I just don't see them posting 10 wins. I feel 7 or 8 wins is much more likely. I remember last season when KU and Mizzou met, all of my friends were giving me crap because I said that Mizzou would win fairly easily. They poked fun at me throughout the Pre-Game show with comments laced with profanity and alot of penis references - all of which would be inappropriate for this board (but still funny). But it was great after the game was over, because I could rub it in their face and tell them, "Told you so." So far, I have this same feeling. I think Mizzou will take this game fairly easily, but we will see...
  7. So, what do you get with this $3.95 you pay per month (in addition to your regular cable/satellite bill I'm guessing)? If I only had to pay $4 for more Big 12 games, gee, that's a no brainer.
  8. Gameday isn't coming this year? Oh... :: puts away Kirk Herbstreit bear trap ::
  9. We better send these poll results to Bo so that he knows Oklahoma is going to be a tough game.
  10. Well, if you didn't live in Arizona, I would come pick you up. Wait, we're talking about gameday? Nevermind...I will be drunk too.
  11. Okay, well nothing is guaranteed, especially in college football. However, there is a STRONG possiblity that KU will lose to Mizzou and Oklahoma. I can't say Mizzou? Really, why not? I'm pretty sure I'm going to anyway. Rivalry game? Yes it is, but Mizzou didn't seem to mind last season, and I think they will let it slide this season too. Yes, we did see what happens when Bradford gets injured. So the only chance Kansas has against Oklahoma is if Bradford gets hurt? Muahahaha. Well, I guess if all the QBs KU faces get injured, they have a pretty good chance of going 12-1 again! Better start hatchin' something up to make it happen... OK??? I really don't have a response to that. You really didn't say anything. You still haven't explained why you think MU has a STRONG POSSIBILITY of beating KU and I never said I was banking on every QB to go down this year. Do you even know the teams you're talking about? Or the players we're talking about? I'm going to assume no since your whole intent is to try and down grade everything I write. You're wasting my time. First, I was being sarcastic. You read into my comment about all the QBs getting injured. It was a joke. Second, Mizzou will be a better team. Plain and simple. Even with Mizzou's average defense last year, Mizzou still had the game well in hand. Well, except for the last quarter or so, but for KU it was too little, too late. There wasn't one time during the game - except the beginning and the last 8 minutes of the 4th quarter - where I thought KU was going to post a W. Mizzou returns QB Heisman finalist, Chase Daniel. He's a field general. He knows how to run the offense and he knows how to adjust. The only D that really had his number last year was Oklahoma. Not much needs to be said about him, nor about Jeremy Maclin, who returns at WR. They also have Alexander and Saunders at the WR position. Alexander missed part of the season with some injury (not sure what), but even so still had 37 grabs for 400 yards. The offense lost Daniel's go-to-guy in Rucker, but they still have Coffman. Coffman is an excellent player. Great at running routes, strong and physical, and can take the ball away from defenders fairly easily with his size. There's not much weakness on the offense. The only thing I notice is that they don't have a solid runner that has proven himself (Temple is gone), but if they are lucky, someone will step up. Don't really know too much about their OL, which is very important, but after watching the games last season, I can't really say it looked like a weakness. Mizzou's defense wasn't the highlight of the season last year, but it wasn't bad either. Average. Actually, I'm not sure if it was that the defense was average, but maybe it was overlooked more when compared to the offense. DE spot looks to be promising, in my opinion. Stryker Sulak has the explosive speed off the end that gives tackles problems (I use his full name because, well come on, how fun is that to say?). Opposite of Stryker Sulak is Chavis, another quick end who has one year at this level under his belt. Weatherspoon returns at the LB position and so does senior Christopher. Then of course, Moore will return as the FS. He's quick, has great instincts, and I wish he was on Nebraska's team. I wouldn't say there's too many concerns on offense. Maybe that they don't have a solid, proven runner; but somehow I don't see this offensive train slowing down from that. And while there are some legitimate concerns at the LB spot (namely, the depth problem), there are two returning LB. Unfortunately for Mizzou, the SAM spot is questionable. Expect an extremely above average offense, and an average, to above average defense. And that is why I think Mizzou will beat Kansas. Now, I just want to ask you in all seriousness. Knowing your team and the schedule they will be up against this season, what is your legitimate W-L record you came up with? I'm just curious...
  12. Maurice Purify beat him at least once, maybe twice (i don't remember exactly) Not last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ9A6KhY0RQ I was right, there were two of them on there No, he watched EVERY game, remember!?!?!? I guess it must be that selective memory everyone talks about.
  13. I think these conferences better be careful what they do, especially with today's economy. Many people are paying enough for things that they need: shelter, food, and gas (it could be argued that gas is not a need, but I would argue that in America, it is). Prices don't appear to be decreasing anytime soon. People don't need TV, and they don't need to watch college football. Sure it's popular, but if there isn't money there to pay for these games, then it just isn't there, no matter how popular it may be.
  14. Okay, well nothing is guaranteed, especially in college football. However, there is a STRONG possiblity that KU will lose to Mizzou and Oklahoma. I can't say Mizzou? Really, why not? 15. And the defense is pitching a shutout thus far. Yeah...0 yards rushing allowed, and 0 yards passing allowed! Bo really turned this team around!
  16. I've never seen a cornerback get burned so many times and receive so much praise. He's good........but he's not the best cornerback to ever play the game.
  17. I can see it now... Ohio State, X team, and Y team all undefeated at the end of the season. Ohio State and X team goes to the BCS Championship; Y team gets the shaft. Y team's fans are pumped and love the BCS!
  18. Kansas may beat Nebraska. Then again, Nebraska may beat Kansas. Don't really know. I do know that good ole Reesing and Company will probably be 7-5 or 8-4 by the end of the season, and that is if they do REALLY well. There are 6 games that I could see Kansas losing (2 for sure). I could also say that there are 8 games I see Kansas losing, because they face NU in Lincoln, and last year Kansas struggled with KSU. Bottom line: Kansas isn't all that until they can prove themselves. If they finish above 8-4, I will be very, very impressed. I hope Reesing and all other key players stay healthy for KU, because when they lose, I want them to lose with all of their excellent players in the game. I don't want to hear any excuses from their fans on why they lost.
  19. F'in A Cotton, F'in A! Where does that come from? just wondering... I hear it alot on 1620 the Zone (Unsportsmanlike Conduct), but it's from the movie Dodgeball.
  20. I agree. KU has one good year, and now the KU "fans" that "have been with the football team x number of years" are coming out of the wood work. Will they be as supportive if KU doesn't post as good of a record as last year? It's going to be tough for them with their schedule with possible losses against South Florida, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Texas, and Missouri (this doesn't even include the away game against Nebraska). That's six games. Six games that KU will have to play at 100% if they want to win. We shall see what KU's record is after a little tougher schedule. Pat White. Enough said.
  21. Well, I think Husker_x covered it pretty good. Texas Tech is known for their offense, not their defense. Texas Tech wasn't the best in rush defense last season. In fact, they were ranked 82 out of 119 teams. They gave up an average of 177 yards per game. I know Leach has stated his defense will be better, but we just don't know that yet. Nebraska is rumored to have a great offensive line this season, but again, we don't know that yet. However, if Nebraska's offensive line is really good, NU might be able to run, run, run. This will keep the TOP in our favor, and keep that potent TT offense off the field. I think this will be NU's strategy from game one. It only makes sense to me. If these coaches believe what they are saying - that NU's offensive line will be way above average - then why wouldn't they want to run the ball as much as possible? Keep our defense off the field as much as possible so they can make adjustments and figure things out. Anyway, that's my $.02 on the situation.
  22. Very tough question, because I feel Oklahoma, Mizzou, and Texas Tech. Oklahoma had a great team last season, but at times, they were very inconsistent. Granted, a year under Bradford and Company's belt could bring consistency, but it's hard to say that with 100% confidence. Mizzou was consistent all year long, and only lost to one team. Texas Tech is going to be a tough team to beat from the South, and I feel they will either be first or second in the South. However...they are still Texas Tech (i.e., not proven yet). My answer: Mizzou. Sure we are at home, but Mizzou's defense should be improved, and their offense still has many weapons. Should be a very, very tough game.
