Why are all Big Ten fans so horrible and rude and disrespectful?!?! I said it in another thread, everyone from the Big Ten has been awesome around here! Thanks for being so cool, and I look forward to meeting you at the games.

I'm still finding it weird about all the Big 10 peeps on here...it's like we joined a different conference or something. Looking forward to it...apparently the chemo and radiation worked to cure us from the cancerous horn that was killing us. Gotta say that even though I doubt it will transpire in the stadiums, Big 10 members that have been on this forum for the most part have been top-notch with class. Yeah, they have been great. It feels like moving from a slummy trailer park to........ not a trailer park. Classy folks, very supportive and excited to have another top-notch program.

Why is OU so high in preseason polls?

I was at an airshow display this weekend, drinking a beer.... in California. And this guy standing next to me says "Texas sucks!" to his buddies, and I looked straight at him without thinking. He said "no offense, sorry". He thought I was looking over cause I was pissed. I just laughed and said "I'm a husker, man! TEXAS DOES SUCK!!!" Good times.

Such is the case with any school that has a run of decent success (decent, because seriously its not like they are taking football by storm, 1 NC in 39 years is quite the dynasty). Probably half of them aren't old enough to remember Texas not being good and jumped on that bandwagon about the time they saw Vince Young run over USC. Might as well get over it, its the moronic group mentality of the internet, where you find a bunch of people as dumb as you and repeat the same thing over again until your entire group believes its true, facts be damned. It's fitting they are Texas fans, Since its a school blind to anything but their own myopic view of how to grab the most cash they can for themselves with no regard to how to strengthen their situation they surround themselves with for a bigger long term payoff. Funny thing is now perception for the rest of the College Football world is gonna be just like it is when someone runs through the pac10 before their expansion, or Hawaii going 13 and 0 (okay maybe not quite that bad, but everyone knows in any given year they'll only have one tough game in OU). My point is moot though, since a when they start the 10 team conference they will have to play Kansas State every year and we can all say goodbye to undefeated Longhorn teams. Are you joking about the Kansas State part?

The funny thing is, they would never admit Nebraska is that important to the Big XII. They are posting things like "Can we even keep our automatic BCS bid?" and the whole world is coming to an end. Guess we are more important to them than I thought.

Maybe I misunderstood, but isn't texass getting $20-25mil just from the TV deal? And in the Big Ten, schools got $20mil total? So wouldn't it be in addition to what they already got from the Big XII?

I hope so, I like what I've heard so far. There seems to be a lot more mutual respect of other schools in the big ten.
