  1. The Bryce Brown saga has just gotten a bit stranger. For one, Brown's confidante - Brian Butler - says "there is a very low chance" that the five-star tailback signs anywhere on Signing Day. "That's because of the time it will take to evaluate," Butler said. "Miami doesn't have an offensive coordinator right now. "Everything in the schedule (to sign) is built around when they hire an offensive coordinator. Things will be built around that." And Butler also say Brown is waiting to see where certain offensive linemen sign before making a decision. "Offensive line recruiting is very important to Bryce," Butler said. "He's mentioned Marcus Hall, Morgan Moses as well as Bobby Massie. He's really paying attention to those three as well as a couple of more Miami is recruiting. That along with the offensive coordinator are the two things he's really looking at." Butler says, assuming Miami's new coordinator hits it off with Brown, that he will remain with Miami. Butler says Brown still considers himself a UM commitment. "If they hire a top-notch offensive coordinator that really fits in with Bryce (he'll be at Miami)," Butler said. Something else Butler and Brown have decided upon - because Butler says they have been inundated with phone calls from media outlets, Brown is setting up his own website. A link to Brown's page will be posted on Butler's home page - www.potentialplayers.com - by the end of the day on Thursday. "Bryce is going to start updating on the website," Butler said. "He'll give schools he's considering and give everyone a weekly update on visits and all the little things. "We want to make it as efficient as possible so we don't have to take 50 phone calls. So now everyone can get all the information they need and want. Bryce is going to personally update it on a weekly basis at the least. He doesn't have school anymore so he can update it and people can hear it straight from him." For now Brown is scheduled to visit Miami Jan. 23. "That might change," Brown said. "The 30th was mentioned or the first or second week of February was mentioned (depending on when a coordinator is in place)." Brown has one other visit remaining, and Butler said he is choosing between visiting Tennessee, Auburn, Nebraska and USC.
  2. OK so still not in the Rivals 100. And yes they did down-grade a number of guys. He is currently listed as 4 5.8 #10 dual-threat. Jeremy Carbtree was on 1620 the zone a week ago or so and said that Cody will be moved up to the #6 overall dual threat QB in the class on Wednesday which will put him solidly in the middle of the rivals 250.
  3. lets wait till after the spring game for a thread like this
  4. dont forget the legendary UCS rankings http://ucsrankings.home.comcast.net/~ucsrankings/
  5. ah, dropped Boise State and changed his visit from the 16th to the 23rd. wtf was hoping to get him on campus with the other recruits
  6. herbie4pres, everybody above isn't offtrack or pulling shenanigans. They're just wanting a clarification on your statement in the quote above where you say you "read(rear?) ended him". Do you mean that you ran into the back of his vehicle with yours? Or what? 'read' or 'rear'. dont worry about it man, dont worry about it
  7. whoa whoa whoa get back on track people
  8. Anyways, wasnt he an EE? Since classes start tomorrow, he has to plan on doing this for a while.
  9. yes http://nebraska.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Y...t=1&Coach=2
  10. Would have liked to have him, but its not like Nebraska was exactly hurting at DE. Have Allen coming back, Josh Williams coming off red shirt, William Yancy, Jason Ankrah coming in next year, and some other men. Also we have Baker who can play either DT or DE, along with Suh coming back and incoming freshman Pensick and Randel. Odds are he would have redshirted next year anyways. Oh well bring on JPP and/or Beanie Logan
  11. Him and Norman were cousins right? Is he still solid or will he try and go somewhere with Norman?
  12. Should help open the door for Jacquain Williams and Eric Martin though
  13. No longer a commit on Rivals. see ya EE, best of luck to ya
  14. committed to Utah. wants to take his mission from what i have heard.
  15. Has anyone else seen Gator bowl highlights yet on ESPN? I haven't seen any.
  16. Heard he will probably be switching his commitment from Tennessee to Oklahoma State. The hostess(or his GF at Tenn that won him over) dumped him and will be looking else where.
  17. From what I have heard - Jason and Travis want to play college football together on the same team. Also they have a friend Xavier Hughes(3star safety from Maryland) who they want to play college ball with and if Travis really wants to come here dont be surprised if Nebraska offers Xavier.

  19. I try not to follow stars, but the best teams year in and year out seem to have the top classes(5 and 4 star guys). As much as you say you dont want to follow it, it seems like it does make a difference most of the time. Forgive me if I am wrong, but werent we in the top ten or somewhere thereabouts for a few years...look where that got us? Sure those 5 stars are great athletes, but I am not completely sold on these recruiting sources and how they evaluate talent...they dont measure heart, my friend. Having a top 5 team goes far beyond recruiting..primarily developing your players. Big Red will be back. Hell, look at what one year with Pelini got us. An 8-5 season with the potential of going 9-5 with less talent than we had a year ago. Pelini is our man...*'s are wayyyyyyyyyyy overrated. there is a ton of talent on this team, they just had horrible coaching before Pelini look at Notre Dame, they have talent but a god awful coach
