  1. I may get hated for this, but whatever. I've been to funerals. I've lost friends. Yeah, life sucks sometimes. Really sucks. I don't think any sane poster on this board would compare a husker loss to losing a good friend. That doesn't mean you can't be disappointed, when as a fan, you spend $1000 of dollars a year on husker games, gear, etc. and the team continues to sh#t the bed. Further more, I don't need other fans telling me how to feel and not to feel. "Things could be worse"...well no sh#t? The fact of the matter is that football has changed, and we are no longer a good football program. After squeaking out a bunch of wins against very mediocre opponents, I got into many arguments with husker fans with me stating "We're not that good"..."10-2 bro...that's not good?" If that is your level of expectation for being good, lets just drop NU to D2. We should easily be good in that division... Sorry for your loss. There are probably better places to seek condolence than a football forum after a blow out.
  2. Not to take anything away from Kenny, as the kid is an amazing athlete for our program, but no. Just no. Maybe if he works on his punt returning, but still....no.
  3. Does ranking even matter? The goal is to make it to the Rose bowl, which will happen regardless if we win our next two games. Otherwise, the rank is just a number. And if we lose, I really don't care what bowl we end up in. It will just be another disappointing season...
  4. That would be great if our defense played against their defense. Take the entire Big 12 this year, how many do you think we would beat? All that aside, the point is this. We all wouldn't be a very happy bunch if we were in the Big XII this year. But that isn't how football works. Like I say every time. REMOVE YOUR f'ing BIAS! Put us in the situation. Every god damn single person in husker nation would say that there was clearly at least a second left on the clock when the ball hit the ground. The last two minutes of a football game are different than the rest of the game. We can blame the officials all you want on that game, it doesn't change the fact that it's our fault they were even in field goal range.
  5. Sarcasm, trolling, or delusional. We would get stomped in the Big XII this year. It's obvious that this is a weak year for the B1G conference. It will be good for our team, however... Yup I'm delusional, because Pelini had a defense built to stop the majority of teams in the Big XII and we now have a legit offense capable of putting up 20+ points on any opponent. No one plays defense in the Big XII. We would have more than a punchers chance against any team including Oklahoma and K State. Give me some of those drugs friend and let us continue to talk about how awesome our defense is this year.
  6. And as far as game changing -- 0:01. Even as a husker fan, it is clear that there was still time on the clock when the ball landed out of bounds.

  8. From every photo and video I've seen, to me, that clearly looked like a touchdown. Remove your bias. That's two weeks in a row that I have seen the other team get screwed by the refs in the late game...but it happens. We've been on the other side of this coin before. It's part of the game. Also, I agree that this would have no where near sealed the game. The PI last weekend on the other hand...
  9. Except for the fact that the Big 10 is one of the weaker conferences this year. I'm not saying the team could do anything to fix that, but I'm not really impressed with their play. But hey, they do make for interesting football games...
  10. Not that it really matters, but when I looked at subhub, the cheapest ticket you could get was $75 and above face value. The sellout streak will be at risk when you stub hub flooded with tickets at below their ticket price, because this means the owner of the tickets are losing money, thus less likely to purchase from the University. In short, it's going to take quite a turn of events for this to happen... (baited by the troll....)
  11. You should totally email that right there to Brady Hoke. I'm sure he would love that advice. I'm sure today is the day that he learned that his QB is a pivotal part of his team. His backup may blow, but I'm sure it's not because you can't get any studs to come and play backup for you when you have a QB that was talked about as a Heisman candidate since he was a freshman.... Easy now, big fella. He's stating his opinion, just the same as you are... I was going to give my peace of mind for the rudeness he obviously has, then I remembered where I was But honestly, is it not true? Even OSU has a good backup if Miller goes out lol You mean Joe Bauserman?
  12. This guy is full of it. You haven't heard of UNL's new cheerleader? She's so hot, Bo was totally cool with the offense taking a break from the game to check her out....
  13. We are not an 11-2 team, even with our soft schedule....
  14. ? Apparently USC and Oregon State are now part of the Big 10 conference... They're part of the Pac-12, who provides the Big 10's opponent in the Rose Bowl. Oh, so he just skipped the part where we play in the B1G conference champion? It will be hard to be Wisconsin twice (or possible Penn state)...
  15. This is such a stupid topic for how early it is. We have four games ahead of us, and we could easily drop two of them. Michigan state has a salty defense, Penn state isn't terrible (not great), but not terrible.... Good news is that we SHOULD beat Iowa, Penn State, and Minnesota...Michigan State will be a good game... But if we drop two, which is easily possible...well, you know...
  16. ? Apparently USC and Oregon State are now part of the Big 10 conference...
  17. BCS Rankings from 10/21/2012 (Formatting screwed up in post... Link: http://www.bcsfootball.org/ ) Losses: #2 Florida loses to #10 Georgia #7 Oregon State loses to Washington (4-4) #8 Oklahoma loses to #5 Notre Dame #9 USC loses to unranked Arizona (5-3) #11 Mississippi State loses to #1 Alabama #14 Texas Tech loses to #3 K-State #15 Rutgers loses to Kent State (7-1 MAC) #22 Michigan loses to Nebraska #24 Ohio loses to unranked Miami (Ohio) #25 Wisconsin loses to Michigan State in OT Predictions: I feel Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin will all drop off (obviously). Huskers will probably make the rankings. My guess would be #24 or #25. Who else moves around. How far will Florida drop? USC?
