  1. hey everyone, never been to a tailgate party before. My cousins have never been to a husker game before, does this sound like the perfect opportunity for all? Mind if we stop by?
  2. I'm looking at buying some tickets for a game. They are in section 7 row B where are the lettered rows located at?
  3. Go back to the big eight with these teams: Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, KU, Kstate, OSU, and CU. That way we get Oklahoma every year again, add competition in all sports with Texas, Still have KU basketball to play every year. CU is my iffy team, guess its a toss up between CU, A&M and tech. I think that gives us the best competition for all sports. If you don't have baseball get out!! But really, ISU and CU and Baylor have done nothing but hurt the conference in football and most other sports. ISU and CU don't even have baseball. Baylor at least has that but sucks at football. Fine, Elight 7 conference!!!!
  4. I agree with a majority of what you said about playing for the future. But why not Ganz??? As long as we give the younger guys, real gametime experience, whether it be mop up duty, or for a change of pace or just for a stupid reason like Texas did this year with playing the second string on the third series no matter what, then we should be fine for years to come. The problem we had the last few years is the NFL mentality of starters playing and playing the whole game. We were absolutly blessed that Ganz was able to step in like he did. He could of just as easy choked under the actual game speed. Callahan got lucky, Pelini is to smart and won't let that happen. When we are up or down by a lot in a game, the backup will come in and get some time. Just like in the old days.
  5. Bo Pelini- Nebraska's way of forgetting four terrible years.
  6. Back in Black!!! 2003 with a slash through it/ 2007
  7. Does anyone realize that we could be very, very good next year. Think about it. Virginia Tech, Kansas, and Missouri all at home. Those games, with a defense, are all winnable with the current offense. Texas Tech and Oklahoma are difficult road games, but I think we can beat Tech and play with Oklahoma. I still think we have at least 3 losses next year, but I also believe that all three of those losses will be close and we will have a chance. I don't think the offense is going to change that much next year, which will give us a chance. GBR and be on the lookout, there are upset warnings posted for the nation all next year!!!!!!!
  8. I live in the apartments off of 27th and fletcher and I just heard the plane go by. Over the noice of the plane I hear Tom and Harvey laughing saying something like I can't believe those guys down there think we would actually bring someone back with us. Then I heard this: "Any chance I can be let out of the box a little before we land?????""""
  9. The onside kick in the Utah game was priceless. I absolutely loved it. It made it even better with his comments after the game. "He gauranteed a win, he must have known something I didn't so how can I shut it down in the 3rd quarter." Or something to that effect. Joe Glenn deserved to have the score ran up on him and I think he knows it.
  10. Someone needs a picture of Colin Farrel and Josh Hartigan
  11. 68 county. We got the lake of Nebraska.
  12. Broncos baby. Not necessarily a lot of Huskers but great team to watch and be a fan of.
  13. I'll say it again, even if Ganz does have a better spring, as long as Witt or Lee doesn't completely bomb, Ganz will not start next year. I think the new coach will go with youth and build this team for the future, not a one year run. I really believe Ganz will be informed of this and will transfer to a smaller school possibly as early as next semester. Althought it may suck, I think it's the best and smartest way to do it.
  14. After a conference championship or a season finally, don't most teams get about a week off as a break before getting back into the grove of things? That week would either come between Thanksgiving and the first weekend in December or the week immediately following the conference championships. That is when interviews and announcements will be made. I say we will know no later than Dec. 3rd. And the only way it goes into January is if the coach we are going to hire is a head coach in a late Dec. or January bowl. Pelini would be here before the bowl game because he knows how valuable recruiting is.
  15. Maybe they screwed up there info and he is going to be the next AD at Nebraska. What would you say about that.
  16. By the way, my bosses wife cleans for University frats and sororities an of coarse different individuals and one of her clients works for Duncan Aviation and he told her that Bo Pelini was in town for four hours last weekend.
  17. No I don't feel better. Because I remember his first year here. He kept saying, Wait till we get our players here, wait for the recruits to get here that fit in our system. Well........ here they are and look what we got. Maybe your right, maybe he did attempt the instant success right. But when it wasn't working 8 weeks ago, why not change and admit fault and put in Witt or Lee or some of these young guys and start to rebuild. Or Asante on defense earlier in the season, We all can live with something not working but when you can't admit mistake and at least attempt to change coarse, then you become inept!!!! That's my problem. And he's not recruiting any different, so why should we believe that he was just going for instant success. And if the 4322 defense isn't working than try something new or mix it up throughout the game. We are not getting killed just because we miss tackles, it's because when an opposing team sees the same thing for two quarters they adjust to beat it. So you can imagine what these coaches can do when they see the same thing every damn game. They've got a week to beat it when we have in game adjustments that we have to make in order to even have a chance. And then those adjustments are not ever made. THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!
  18. Is Callahan a Mason???????????? Hey Callahan I liked the five star instant success comment!!!!!! You have done a great job in all aspects. Even making everyone think that you are not paying attention to message boards.
  19. I really don't think Ganz will be here next year or at least will not be the starter. Here's why: I think the new coach will want to build slowly and possibly start with youth. I think that Ganz will be left out of the mix unfortunately. I also think that is the right move on Bo Pelini's part.
  20. How do we know that Watson is calling the plays in the first half and not the second. It seems really strange that it would change like that. I don't think it's true.
  21. Plus remember, these are his recruits, when we were winning prior, they were not all his recruits, they were recruits who still knew what it meant to play for, not just at, Nebraska.
  22. The problem with keeping him and letting him hire all new assistants is that it turns into a situation like Peterson or Solich. Everyone thought that Peterson should go because we can't let him hire the next coach, look at the one he chose in the first place. He can't be trusted. So why do we allow BC to hire a new staff to save his own ass when he's the one the chose all of his buddies in the first place. What is the difference here???? The other problem I have is that he is saying things like we or I have done a good job. I am doing a great job, and all that garbage, but look how good of a job he is doing. We are breaking all kinds of records, just the ones that we all hoped would never be broken. It is a terrible situation and Callahan doesn't have the slightest clue how to fix it, even if it were as simple as firing a couple of assistants, which won't happen, or giving up the play calling, ego gets in the way here. The other problem with keeping him and allowing him to choose a new staff is, isn't that what happened with Solich? There are differences, but if it doesn't work out with the new assistants next year, do we clean house and not get anyone here because everyone's afraid of coaching at Nebraska. The best and most logical solution is to fire BC and company, start new, bring back Nebraska Tradition and build on that. Callahan dug his own grave, much like Peterson did.
