  1. You're probably thinking of Will Ferrell... I think Jen is right. If memory serves Keanu sat in the stands and kinda kept a low profile. Also that picture is from TMZ, and even though I agreed that it looks fake, why would they use a Huskers hat? The guy came to Lincoln and spent three days here. Seems possible to me that he either bought, or was given a hat. Also just because he was born overseas and grew up in Canada doesn't mean he isn't a fan of USC. I met an expat in India that had an old blackshirts hat on. I asked him if he was from NE and the answer was "no I am from Detroit, but I loved watching your defense when I was a kid" The guy hadn't even been to Nebraska, so was he a bandwagon fan?
  2. I agree that picture looks a little fishy... Clarence Thomas? Did I miss something I never knew that
  3. Got mine a few days ago. I really dont know hoe they are sent. My brother got his a week before me.
  4. I know a lot of you dont like the Gameday crew, or ESPN in general, but this is a huge mile stone. I dont know what other match-ups are going on that weekend, but I think it would be cool if they came, it would be good exposure for us, and a way to help honor the fans, Devaney, and show a little respect for what we have here.... Yes it is a slow news day but its better than the CU fans suck topic.
  5. I still like the core idea. Would it be possible to start a topic, and have the ones who want to enter post the pictures? Make each post a poll and who ever gets the most votes win. I am curious to see what some people have out there.
  6. They banned booze in the sky boxes? When was it legal, wasn't there a huge uproar when people found out a few years ago that people were drinking up there? I've been under the impression that any type of alcohol was banned on state owned property. I was surprised last year when they had drinks at a booster thing in the Hawks center, not that I mind it. This seems more of a story than some wild speculation over the team, let the pros on this board handle that one...
  7. I haven't heard about the surrounding neighborhoods complaining. The closest one would be German Bottoms, and that is a good half mile away. I was told the sound issue was brought up two years ago, mainly after the USC game. Some of the more "well seasoned" boosters thought the volume was to high, and lo and behold the volume was lowered, so much so that at last years opener you could hardly hear anything. I think that during the tunnel walk they should let it blast, it only lasts a minute, its good clean fun, and come one ear plugs only cost a buck.
  8. So anyway, over the last few days Larry the Cable guy has been doing interviews to pimp his up coming roast on TV. Point is, he was wearing a Nebraska hat on the two I saw him on (Hannity/Glen Beck). What do you all think, is it a good thing for NU to have a guy showing the pride, or do you consider him more of a joke?
  9. This is why we became the Big 12. To insure there would always be some team in the hunt, yes it would be good to have the North very strong, but then it brings in the question of the teams killing each other and knocking the conference out of the hunt for a Nat champ, and the extra money is nice also...
  10. If they are going off what these guys did AFTER they won... Then my vote would be OJ... Not many double homicides under other winners belts... Ohh that's right he didn't do it..
  11. An observation...which I could be wrong...could be right: In Missouri, Iowa, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas it is much easier to be a bandwagon fan. If your team isn't doing well, you support the other college team or one of the pro teams in your state. In Nebraska we don't have a pro team, and we don't have another major college team - so we don't have anyone else to support. IMHO that is to the university's benefit in Nebraska. We have a fan base that has no other options if they like football. That is why we automatically win every argument no matter what Nebraska is our baseball, our football, our basketball, etc. It's tough for anybody else to understand because if their team isn't doing well they have a lot of other options (in-state) to fall back on. We literally have none. ^^^^This is also why it's important for Nebraska to consistently dominate in football, that way we have something to do with our lives other than We also have volleyball, wrestling, and the basketball program is starting to come along...but nothing to really compete with the football...just the way it ought to be. Heard we have a soccer team as well... who knew?
  12. So.. Anyone figured out where the site will cut this "fun" off..
  13. I agree. the last two games brought back many demons from the past. Even though those boys were out there giving there all it still seemed like 2007. Tonight finally gave us some hope IMO, we took the #7 team in the nation to the razors edge, granted a win would of been HUGE, but this has shown us, the coaches, and most important the team, that they can play in the Big 12. I seriously doubt anyone will be aligning us with Baylor any time soon....
  14. From total blow out last week, to 4th quarter come back... OT loss... on the road.... Great game good job Huskers
  15. Glad to have you, and I'm glad you had a good time (that is until you took us out to the wood shed and all), must say all Mizz U fans I saw before, during, and after the game were great folks out to see some good football. See you in a year and be ready we are coming for ya!
  16. Ahhh yes the bye week. Didn't think of that, it's been a loooong weekend..
  17. Rush is from Missouri. His family still lives there. BEAT TT!! I think Rush hits a game about every year he was here for USC last year...
  18. Interesting thought. I don't know how polarizing he would be. Many people wanted him gone, and many still point to him as the one who started the Husker collapse, besides he usually has to work on Saturdays.
  19. Are you kidding? The fans have the right to voice their displeasure of how poorly the team is playing by leaving. Being a fan doesn't mean that you have to sit the entire game and watch your beloved team get slaughtered. Get real. You honestly think that the fans want to stay the whole game, watch an almost 40 point loss, and then have to put up with the traffic at midnight on a Saturday night in Lincoln? Everyone that left early probably listened on the radio as they left, went home or to the bar, and drank their sorrows away. Get over yourself. Just because you have the stomach to sit and stay and watch that terrible game until the final gun doesn't make you a better Husker fan then anyone who left the game early. Pompass a$$. Thank God I thought I was the only one.... Every freaking game its the same thing... For home games it's how dare any of you leave early, or not yell enough, or not wear red... for away games it's, God (insert team here) fans are just a huge pack of jerks... Not every Nebraska fan will live up to the high and mighty ideals laid out here, in fact most of the people on here don't with the way they attack anyone who breaks from the ill defined "Husker way" that many around here claim to follow, even though there actions and posts really make me wonder.
  20. there... ...now it's funny. BEAT MU!! HAHA Thanks, I should know better than to try and pass off bad grammar and spelling around here...
  21. Good play on the redneck joke, but it's more effective if you use correct grammar and spelling. Hey it's Friday, and I'm plum outta that fancy speakin' n typein' english....
  22. That is a BIG question IMO. I think they are better towards the end of the year as players are hurt and tired. By that time your offense and defense is set up. I think some coaches can go over board with an early buy week (especially if things aren't going well) and try to change to many things in to short of time. As for Mizz U, I assume they took a week off to marry there cousins, and to get there mullets trimmed.
