I'd have to say that Illinois will have a hard time recruiting this year. They are not very good and the coach is probably on the way out. Don't want to go to a school when you don't know if the coach is going to be there. JMO

First thing I thought of.

EZ-E, ya know I have your back and see eye to eye on a lot of stuff with ya, but the power of beautiful weather and members of the opposite sex barely wearing anything over their "ASSets" and what nots is a powerful force. The Noles just recently became a stronger player in Aaron's recruitment and it is a little curious of to why. Obviously there is some serious interest on Aaron's part. Here's hoping your right(which is a reoccurring thought by most of us) and if all else fails that some kind of torrential down pour or freak blizzard hits Tallahassee this weekend. Damn I hate Florida. I have to say it because idk how many times I have heard this in this thread when referring to hot chicks and the like. "Aaron isn't like that, he has strong religious values." Do you know him? If not then how do you know? I've known alot of people considered to be "highly religious" who were crooked and immoral. I'm not saying Aaron is that way, just wondering how you know he is or not. Also, just because a person has high religious values doesn't mean they don't like to look and sample the opposite sex. I know many people who I would consider pretty religious but they also like to have "fun!" Some may say they are not actually religious then, but I want nothing to do with a religion battle here so believe what you want. Just saying, sexual attractions can make the most diehard religious people forget their morals for awhile. How many times have you seen the girl who went to church every week, never cursed, did volunteer work for her church every week, helped others, etc. and then low and behold one day she shows up and she's pregnant. I've seen it more than once and have heard about it plenty. Some will say, I guess she isn't religious then, but just because she had a lapse in her beliefs doesn't mean that. Actually, your might argue the one thing that probably got her in trouble was religion and beliefs. Many times these girls know having sex isn't what they believe in so commit to abstinence, but then they get pulled in and enticed by sex(but also many times scared they will lose a boyfriend if they don't have sex). Then what happens next is they decide to just have sex this once, but since they believe sex is wrong they don't want to do a double wrong and use protection because their religion frowns upon that(or don't have it because weren't planning on having sex). So, they don't get protection, and presto, they're pregnant. So, with that overly winded answer, just because someone is religous doesn't mean they don't like hot women and don't like spending time with them whether sexual or not, and I'd say Florida has a higher amount of "hot" women compared to NU just because of the numbers game. However, I don't think from the sounds of Aaron's demeanor he will pick a school based on weather and chicks. GBR

Actually, when tailgated for Big 12 Champ last year we tailgated next to group who had a pretty sweet bus and set up. (If any of you on here know or are those people get in touch with me. My crew never got any phone numbers, but we had a blast with ya.) Anyways, they cranked out Sirius with the announcer parts, can you feel it, and alot of Party in the USA, along with alot of other stuff. Pretty good time. I'd love to get their play list, but like I said, never got any of their numbers. I'm sure I can find them this year at Nebraska games cuz I think I remember seeing that bus in Lot 18 before.

I want to download some music to my Ipod for tailgating this year. However I'm having trouble finding some certain music. I'd love to get the music where there are announcers calling plays in them(like in Sirius), or the nebraska prayers prayer, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have to wonder if the coaches have a good idea what time that game will be. The reason? Beacause we have alot of HUGE recruits coming to that game on their officials. Now, if kids are planning to come to that game from all over the country that means making sure alot of flights from around the country are going to be in Linocln in time for the game. Therefore, I have to think coaches are hinting that this game will at least be later in the day to the recruits setting up officials. JMO, but that's what it seems. Early games are too hard to get this many big recruits to with them having games on Friday nights and then having to catch butt crack of dawn early flights to make a morning game.

Have you tried to call the Husker Ticket office? Usually, if they don't sell their whole allotment to donors they will have chances for public to buy. I'd give them a call.

It's tough to tell from the angle of the picture, but if he's 6'2 then he's definitely taller than Carl by a bit. I'm 6'0 and I met Carl last year at the big 12 champ game. He had to be at the tallest 5'8-5'9. Carl is not a big guy.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. More importantly, is that a golf course I see right by the stadium? So I could get in a round and a game in the same day without having to drive between the two?? Please tell me they don't let cars park on the course like the Rose Bowl does. That would be sweet, park, get clubs, go golf, walk back to car, tailgate, go to game, return to car. One parking spot to do my two favorite things!!

Remember when that expansion was started and they were still trying to raise money for it quite awhile after it was done. Sure is weird how after Osborne came in and let Pedey off the hook we never heard about needing money for that again, and not only that, now they are probably gonna expand and redo East stadium. I was just thinking about it last night. Sure weird how problems disappear when you get the right people for the job in the correct positions.

I agree that Lee will start the first game, but I wonder how much of this is head-game motivation stuff and how much is the real deal. They already benched Lee for two starts last year. Motivation stuff or not, he won't have a long leash. Green will only be better this year than he was last year, and Martinez will get some snaps this year, guaranteed. Lee has to be sharp. Was he actually benched or was he hurt and the coaches were trying to give him as much time off as they could to help his elbow heal?

I agree to a point. The Neb/Tex game will be bigger if we both come in undefeated for sure. However, even if Texas comes in with a loss and we are undefeated it will still be bigger. Everyone in the country knows the bad blood from the Big 12 champ last year and then the boiling over from the off season changes.

ABC is scheduled to broadcast a NASCAR race that night. ESPN is showing wiscy v. ohio state. that leaves the 11:00 and 2:30 slots on ABC. typically the 11:00 one is a national game and 2:30 is regional games. i think you can guess which of those two we're likely to get. i hope i'm wrong, but either way, it will be nice to have such a hyped game in lincoln again. It's not unheard of for ABC to move the race to earlier time in order to make room for a huge primetime game. I know Nascar is a nationwide sport and gets pretty good viewership, but I would say if we are both undefeated or even if we are and Texas has a loss(Oklahoma) coming into this game it will be pumped majorly and the viewership for this game will outdo any Nascar race at that time of year especially. Everyone, not just nebraska and texas fans, still talk about the Big 12 Championship game. Everyone knows the bad blood it generated and then the whole off-season added all the more to it.

I don't think they will call them east or west. I think they will come up with colored divisions like red/blue, red/black(this would be sweet ), or some other names like blood/gore, honor/hate, mish/mash, left/right, dem/rep, donkey/elephant, honor/dignity, etc.

Fort Scott isn't OUR farm team, even though one might think so from recent recruiting But, there is still no guarantee we get him back if he goes JUCO.

I'd say Bouzos will get a 3rd star. 2 star basically means they haven't been evaluated doesn't it?

Everyone I talk to about this move to the Big 10 I talk to about the academic side and the CIC. I've talked to a number of people who said they just didn't like it and were kind of negative towards it. Then, I break out why it's better athletically and they kind of warm up to it but not totally usually. They will say things like it make us look like we are running from Texas. So then I tell them we are running, but not because we don't think we can compete athletically but because they are crooked. But, once I pull out the CIC detail pretty much ALL have totally changed there mind when they hear about the money we can bring the University for academics and research. The other big thing with this money, is now the athletic dept can keep ALOT more money in house to help them instead of giving it to the University to help with running the academic side of the University. We will hear much, much less talk about getting rid of sports or cutting funding to sports now. Believe me, there are alot of smaller sports like Gymnastics, golf, soccer, shooting, etc. that LOVE this move.

But once again, if Braylon has to go the juco route he's no longer a recruit and we would have to recruit him again and get him to sign again. And as unfortunate as it is, there is no guarantee that he would decide to come to Nebraska again. Heck, there could be some teams who really kicked themselves for not recruiting Braylon hard enough and once he goes juco(if) he would be free to be recruited again. He may get an offer he likes better that he didn't get last time. Let's just hope and wish Braylon the best that he can make it in this year since he is signed, and just take what we get next year whether Aaron decides to come here or not.
