  1. ...and in 4 weeks fun time grass will be legal in Oregon. T_O_B
  2. In 2 hours we have the 1st playoff NC. How sweet it is that the ESPN darling, SEC, is sitting at home and two teams from conferences that used to meet every year in the Grand Daddy of Bowl Games are in tonight's game. There is a God. T_O_B
  3. Wouldnt surprise me at all if people are still wanting TO involved in everything Husker Football even in 2098. ...and why would that be a bad thing? His input would be valuable and his recommendations are not binding in any way. He was one of the great football minds of the last 35 years of the1900's. T_O_B
  4. "laissez faire Charlie" be damned "se venger Charlie." T_O_B
  5. I'm like an onion. Round, layered and best when translucent? You forgot the tear inducing odor. No one forgets that, kimosabe. Don't forget the fact that when chopped and added to almost any recipe, other than deserts, the flavor value rises. T_O_B Are you threatening knapp? ARE YOU HANNIBAL LECTOR?!? Onions my man, onions. T_O_B
  6. Will the Islamic religion ever move from the 10th century to the 21st? T_O_B

  8. So you think he worked at Oakland? He didn't work here because as a head coach he stinks. Period. Its been over 7 years, let's just stop discussing this douche. T_O_B
  9. Last week forgotten. The Cowboys were raped by the Striped Shirts today. To say that Dez Bryant didn't catch that ball is ludicrous. Quite possibly the worst call I have ever seen since the Penn State out of bounds catch against the Huskers. T_O_B
  10. Yeah because they are getting so much out of tackle football at that age. Lol. Hopefully they play in a headsup league. And from years of working with kids in sports at a young age I know that they learn lots. If you are worried about your child playing tackle football perhaps she can learn organizational skills by being an equipment manager. T_O_B I am a HUGE proponent of youth sports. It teaches sportsmanship, teamwork, winning/losing, etc. My son plays youth sports nearly year round. I am not sure what age group the OP's son is in, but I don't think tackle football is necessary until at least the middle school level. That's all my point is. I watched a friend's son play tackle football with 8-9 year olds. It was the most worthless game ever. If my son is a "girl" for playing soccer at this point, I guess I can look at changing his name. Didn't know your boy played soccer. It's certainly a sport that can get the kids in shape and doesn't require weight training which shouldn't be started any sooner than the second year of high school and is certainly better than getting fat while working on manual dexterity. 6th gradeis a perfect time to start tackle football. 12. Good to see a bunch of kids playing a real sport and not being tied to mommies apron. T_O_B
  13. Congrats to Trev. He played a great '94 Orange Bowl and I still believe that if the refs hadn't baby sat Charlie Ward throughout the game Nebraska would have won the first of three National Championships in a row. T_O_B
  14. Got any money you'd like to lose because your prediction is... what comes out of the south end of a horse headed north. T_O_B
  15. We also realize that more experience doesn't mean more success, right? To recap, paraphrasing... A: "Disappointing that Brown asked to be RBs or WRs coach, especially given RB coach Davis's lack of experience coaching RBs." B: "Davis has more experience coaching RBs than Brown." C: "So what, B? Experience is irrelevant." Aside from the obvious point that B was merely correcting A, I think we can also agree that while Michael Phelps is demonstrably a better swimmer than all of us by far, it's completely subjective whether Brown is a better RBs coach than Davis. Isn't Davis considered one of the most promising hires on the staff? I think some of us are determined to be disappointed. I've been getting that feeling too Zoogs. There was far too much, "We want Frost" sentiment before the Riley hire. T_O_B
