  1. I'd bet the 12% that would've like to see us stay in the B12 weren't born and raised here.
  2. When Persa is 100%, yes they are. From what I have seen this year, he does not look like the same Dan Persa from last year. Yeah, Northwestern is the most perplexing team on our schedule. They started out like gangbusters. But now have lost four games in a row. Starting with the loss to Army a month ago. They played all three B1G games real tough. NW squandered a huge lead to give Illinois the game. And they lead Michigan into the 3rd qtr before crapping the bed in that game. Northwestern seems good for about three quarters, but can't seem to put a whole game together. Hope they don't figure it out before we play them. Northwestern starts out every game like gangbusters. Then they crap the bed in the second half.
  3. Booing is should never be acceptable, and if the person next to you at he game boos, you should have the right to slap that person! I choose to except Bo's sideline because 1) he is in the heat of battle, and he is with those players all of the time, they should know what he expects out of them, 2) he will have the chance the next day in the film room, to sit down with that player and calmly explain the mistakes that were made 3) If bad enough he will also have the chance to apologize (in private) to the player for his actions. As fans we don't get or have these opportunities, there is no taking it back once it is out there.
  4. I think we need to ditch the 4-3 until we have personnel capable of running it. We have recruited players to run a nickel and keep up with spread offenses. Keep them on the field. Is it just me or are the B1G offenses starting to run more spread? I also think tOSU will go after Urban REALLY hard, he is the king of the spread. Just don't understand the need to try and force a change.
  5. Seen this on the BTN when it aired. Nice piece. I love the way the BTN has welcomed us with open arms.
  6. Kudos to Ameer, that kids is electric with the ball. Like the Hester of the NCAA. Won't be long and we'll see a lot of squib kicks. Baffled that David is not on the list.
  7. Couldn't agree more! Last year we turned the ball over to OU 3 times in the B12 CG and only lost by 3 pts. While no one likes to turn the ball over, it should not always mean 7 pts for the opp. We have to get some stops in order to win big games. This O is not unstoppable, but it can score. The D needs to step up and start stopping people. That said I believe the second half of tOSU the entire team came out loose and ready to rely on their instincts and coaching.
  8. I'm not sure what the reason is, but he must be! Considering how much the secondary has struggled, I can't believe he hasn't even sniffed the field this year (other than special teams). He was playing Safety in the Wiscy game. Remember the late hit PF penalty on Wiscy's last TD drive. However, he hasn't played much.
  9. Baker HAS to step up his play! Hopefully Rome can step up. How is Jay Guys coming along?
  10. there could also be 5-6 times martinez could throw a ball that gets intercepted.. Martinez throws interceptions when he forces things, but I think he demonstrated that he had learned his lesson against Ohio State. As long as Beck doesn't ask him to force things (e.g. end of first half against Ohio State), I have far more confidence in him than I would in Denard Robinson. I don't watch Denard Robinson nearly as much, but even against a weak Northwestern defense, Denard threw three bad interceptions. He hasn't yet shown me that he can learn from his mistakes quite like Martinez has. I also think that Michigan is a little less willing to adapt their offense to Denard than Nebraska is with Martinez. Beck has shown he'll do whatever it takes to play to his players' strengths, even if he messes that up sometimes. Michigan is asking Robinson to be more of a WCO QB, which he isn't. They are still letting him run though, and that's where he kills people. We'll have to contain him. I bet DRob doesn't get 1% of the insulting crap from his fans as ours does. He gets picked three times by a non-existent NW defense and you hardly hear about it. Tmart gets picked three times by a good Wisky defense and the wailing, sobbing, crying & moaning overflows the Missouri river. That's cause they are undefeated. As soon as they lose, look out. Heh, yeah you could be right. Good point! GBR!! Guess we'll find out Sunday! Have to say I'll be a Sparty fan this weekend!
  11. there could also be 5-6 times martinez could throw a ball that gets intercepted.. I don't think so. I think Beck learned what he can and can't do against Wiscy. He'll have TM throw a lot of dink and dunk, and try and stretch the field a couple times. Maybe, maybe 1 or 2 picks, but Beck will try and keep things as clean as he can.
  12. I like our chances at Michigan, if they lose this weekend (and I think they will), I think there's a good chance their season could spiral out of control. I also think they drop games @ Iowa and @ Illinois before the Big Red make their statement in Ann Arbor.
  13. Big props to Jared, kid played his heart out for this program.
  14. Legate is a tremendous blocker. He always finds somebody to block, kid puts in work everyday and probably doesn't care if it is frequently noticed, guarantee it shows up in the film room though.
  15. Without a doubt the O Line is the most improved position on the field from the beginning of season until now. If they can keep up the pace of their growth this offense will be a real force!
  16. I think we start rolling. Minnesota will be a springboard and huge momentum builder going into the remainder of the season!
