I think the chances of Clownahan keeping his job were exactly 0. That's why Pederson was fired and Osborne was hired. It was a done deal from day 1.

Each and every player, starter or not, needs to be evaluated just like Clownahan was, by the new head coach. If they didn't/dont perform they should not play, much less start. Every single one of them. We all know a lot of the players didn't give 100% the entire game and when that happens they should be benched. I don't care who the hell they are. The blowouts are a direct result of that. Having depth charts at this time is ridiculous in my opinion and I see a lot of players on your list who probably should be on the scout team after their "performance" this year. I hope the new coaches seriously study the talent level of each player and not award him a starter job just because he started this year... I agree its early to do this but why not for fun? I guess because this year was not much fun...!

Exactly. Despite Callahan's shortcomings as a Nebraska coach, he also is responsible for Cosgrove being here. Cosgrove never showed anything at Wisconsin to warrant him being DC at Nebraska. If he goes, I'm actually willing to give Callahan another chance. I don't want to act hastily. Firing Cosgrove is not acting hastily. Why Why Why wasn't Cosgrove fired a long time ago..???? They should never, ever even think about wearing black anything, except maybe shoes, until that defense plays like it's supposed to. To wear black and then get blown out of the stadium would make a laughing stock out of the players who would then be looked upon as a bunch of fools...Take it from Zac, to hell with the black...

I really can't see death as a solution to the Husker defensive woes this season. Maybe just a good hard spanking for Cosgrove by some fans and no TV for a week. That should be punishment enough, in my view...

According to the rumor I heard there will be a press conference announcing that BC is gone. Would not expect one unless that is happening, since there is no game this week. A" Higher-Up" represents anyone with an IQ higher than 50. Unfortunately, with Bill Callahan, this is not the case... Boy do I feel stupid. I thought he was talking about how he was going to hire UPS to overnight his resume and job application all over the NFL. You know those guys in Brown do a pretty fine job. The other possible scenario is that he was hoping that he would be "hired by UPS". He's been driveing everyone out of Memorial Stadium he may as well drive a few packages out of the athletic department as well. Maybe he was sending his resume *TO* UPS.......
