Rose is an absolute legend for women's college volleyball and he will be missed. A couple buddies that coach competitive v-ball say he is one of the nicest coaches out there; they speak very highly of him. He goes out of his way to introduce himself and discuss various players with these guys.

It is interesting that Busboom has in her current contract a no buy-out clause if she were to leave for Nebraska. I am sure Tyler was thinking he would be HC a little sooner than 4/5 more years. Being a HC will be great experience for him. We have lost good/great coaches before. HCJC will come up with a great plan for the program.

^ Dana is an amazing player; a well deserved honor. We should have 1-2 over the next 4 years.

Should be a heck of a game, we are hosting about 55 people over at the house on Saturday. We are peaking at the right time, however; Wiskey has our number and they are dialed in as well. I would imagine it would be hard to beat the same team 3x in one season. Purdue found a way to beat Whiskey twice, so maybe we can learn something there. GBR.

The stories from the Old Times must be told. They may not always be pleasant but they, and their lessons, must be learned lest their mistakes be repeated.

I enjoyed the first half. I think this team will compete well and I think we have a better than good chance of defeating Creighton in 2 weeks. I wish that game was played in December, but ob well. We skipped church for the game and I told our seat mates that after that game yesterday I used the Lord's name aplenty. I do have a question for those who were in attendance: Did I hear the black national anthem before the game? I saw people slating and hands over their hearts for some song I was not familiar with. A nation with two national anthems is not as good of an idea as a nation with 3 or more.

Can't argue with the OP. We are starting our tail gates downtown a few hours later than normal. Our attendance for free booze and food has been lacking (30/40 people vs 70 plus), and I am finding myself doing more on weekends (mowing/golfing- stuff I would do after the game listening to radio about our game) when we are on the road. Many of my HS/college buddies had long email stream discussing the Huskers (started in 2004)...we started to go dark last season and not a peep this year. Just like the movie "Yes, Man" to quote: "and on most nights you're so bored and filled with ennui, you can't even summon the enthusiasm necessary to masturbate."- kind of my feelings now. Low energy to discuss the team, buy a product, attend the games including the road game to OK. Now, in full truth- a silly loss still upsets me for a few days. My wife finds me mumbling to myself about bad plays and close calls until Monday. So all is not lost. I am excited as hell for basketball (season tickets since 1985). I am concerned, basketball is a great practice team and that does not always transfer to the court. I think fan attendance will will us to a couple victories we might not have been favored for.

There is no talent. It is emerging and learning. I see a lot of improvement. But kids don't want to go there. K state fans probably wonder why they can't get over? Kids are not attracted to these schools and fans can't come to grips with it. It will take a generational talent like Tommie Frazier to get nebraska relevant again.
