I don't think this is an overreaction. I was pretty surprised they canceled it this year. The Big 10 move can't be why. Although I don't completely disagree with this assesment, the cancellation might be because of something as simple as not having enough registered participants. I mean, it takes money to put these things on, and there have to be other sponsors that participate. If they haven't recieved the support from the community it might have been a case of not being able to raise the money that they would like.

Are Husker fans the only ones in the country willing to give Rex some credit? Seems like everyone thinks that Helu leaving means we have no one that can produce at RB. I know that fans loved Helu, and he produced, definitely. But really Rex was the one that came into games and completely changed it. To me - he is as much a building block as TM is, if not more!

The video wasn't private yesterday - I think the owner of the account went in and made it private. Probably wasn't intended for us to view. I saw it after Dirk C tweeted it yesterday. Pretty funny. Rex does look like he has lost weight but put on muscle.

Thanks Knapp - Daughters gonna love it. You should see her dance to the fight song and she loves watching the "in the deed" video that Epoc did and put on YouTube. Pretty funny how at 3 she realizes Saturday is gameday and the jersey has to be clean for her to wear!

OK guys - first spring game, take the 3yr old daughter, she's a Husker Freak already. Got some questions. Do they have a Tunnel Walk at all? Is there a lot of stuff going on around the stadium as well, like gamedays?

Would anyone be complaining about his approach if it was Wats or Gilmore? We all would be willing to give up a couple of recruits for them to be gone, and if he did the same thing and an offensive player spoke out, we all would care less and say "coaches come and go". I think we are all freaking out more because its Sanders, who on the field, was getting his kids to perform. Not because some recruit is upset.

Glad to see there is a fan base out there very similar to ours. Well kinda, we hammer Pelini because of his outbursts and pure craziness at times, while LSU fans hammer Miles for being the Mad Hatter. Then - in the end - neither team wants their coach to go!

Peterson would be an awesome get... But I doubt we could compete for him. I'd imagine that he'll stay at Boise until a position at at top place opens up and offers him. NU is not... at least not anymore... a top program and Peterson gets far more national exposure at BSU then he would at NU --- BSU is more often nationally televised than is NU and is a bigger national draw than is NU. He would likely leave only for a bigger draw.... but who knows, maybe he would be drawn to the challenge. Any thoughts on Tom Rathman? Can you elaborate as to what makes Boise a bigger national draw then NU?

Id line up the defense on offense and run it up the middle.

Do we really think Pedey will be allowed to hire another coach? They were calling for his head before Dave W was fired and with his next hire being charged with felony assault....would you trust him? only reason he makes another hire is because they need another coach in there now and there isn't time to fire him, find another AD, and then have that new AD bring in a coach.

Nice! Considering how the NCAA completely lacks any consistency in its rulings (see Ohio St players vs Cam Newton)I wouldn't be surprised if they opened up an investigation into this. On that same note, Corn Fed seems to have been around a while and the NCAA would have to be completely blind to not have looked into this already. In fact, I believe the article indicates the NCAA has no issues with it.

Most Husker fans are ok with it........as long as it isn't Nebraska. I personally think it would be cool, for one game a year, to break something new out. But there are WAY too many Husker fans that think it is blasphemy and that it takes away from "tradition".

SI.com is predicting the Bears to lose their last two games and go into the playoffs as a three seed. Granted I think both games will be tough...I have to say they still have recieved NO respect. The NFL is the NFL. You play the teams put in front of you and all the overlooking the Bears are getting this year amazes me, even with wins against Philly and GB. Well maybe I should look at it as a good thing. It kinda reminds me of the Super Bowl team from a couple of years ago.

The thing is Perlman and Nordenberg are at-fault too, they both hired this guy. I can't believe Pitt made the same exact mistake that Perlman did. Wouldn't you investigate the whole issue as to why he is gone from Nebraska? In my book, both are as much at fault as Pederson. I'm sure there's a fair amount of legal issues surrounding any such "investigation". Just like a prior employer can only confirm your past employment status and dates. They can't give a review of your performance or in any way negatively impact your chance at a job. Plus, Peterson did a solid job for Pitt the first time around. IMO he's better w/ the business aspect of the position than the "people" aspect of it. He's a bad judge of character. From an infrastructure improvement and $$ standpoint (which frankly is what concerns these presidents most)...he's fairly solid. Maybe I shouldn't have said "investigate". Honestly with the attention that Pederson got at Nebraska all he would have had to do is look at how the Nebraska Football team performed with him as AD under his watch and the news stories surrounding it and they should have known.

I think we are all going to have to agree to disagree. Delany, although its a good thought, will never get the 90/10 approval of any division names that they come up with. I personally want something other then the prototypical direction or region based names. I really like "Legends" but "Leaders" is pretty lame and I am not smart enough to come up with something to replace it. And for all those people talking about realigning the divisions already....really???? They tried to make them even divisions while taking location into consideration as a secondary factor. They will never re-align the divisions so that the North/South or East/West names can be used so I think we can halt the swap Wisconsin with Northwestern discussions. My pick: Stars and Stripes.
