Maybe I'm not reading this right. You're saying the offense collapses because Bo blows a gasket? If so, please explain. Thoroughly. Knappy i think you are reading it wrong. I think what he is saying is that Bo blew a gasket due to the offense collapsing, not that because Bo blew his gasket the offense collapsed.

Which again begs the question why didn't the defense? Is it the scheme? Does Bo put his brightest and best on the D side? Is the offense held to the same standard of excellence? Do none of our qbs possess the necessary leadership skills? Honestly....I believe our offense collapsing has more to do with Bo blowing a gasket then the other way around. I think you forgot this Nope don't think so. How many times do you see Bo losing it because our offense failed to get a play in on time and had to call timeout. What I am saying is I don't believe our offense spiraled out of control because Bo lost it. Our offense was horrible basically the entire game, aided by horrible officiating of course.

This is actually a very good read and definitely brings to light the REAL situation down there when it comes to the relationships between Bo and the players. The media too many times takes a video and runs with it not really knowing the whole story. I think the greatest telling point since Bo has taken over has been the improvement of the players attitudes on and off the field. These players want to win and will run through a brick wall for Bo to do so. Off the field we haven't seen near the incidents as we have in the past, not even close to a school like Florida. If a player doesn't like Bo's "Big brother tough love" approach let him go someplace else. Let him get away with everything...we will probably see his name in the paper very soon. Yes - Bo did blow a gasket, yes that is not what most people think "Nebraska Football" is about...but let us not forget, Bo is a very green coach in terms of HC career. We have to be willing to hang in their with him through his learning the ins and outs. I am not old enough to really know the atmosphere at the time....but I do know that there were major uprisings in the football community about a certain AD and former NU HC that almost pushed him to a certain mountainous school because of people not thinking he could do the job. I think we all refer to that guy as a LEGEND now.

They didn't allow him to play pop warner??? wow, my nephew plays and the big kids, they call them stripers, can only play positions where they would never get the ball. LOL EDIT: I should say he plays over in CB Iowa.

I've never seen a great 3 loss team at this point in the season. They have losses to both Arizona and Northwestern - both 3 loss teams too. Although I agree that there is a chance they can beat tOSU but I wouldn't put money on it. They are not a "great" team.

48,700 students, including 38,800 undergrads. Good god! Even at the 23,500 that they are talking already, thats almost half the student body. That would really be someething as a school to be proud of, getting that many to a game. Props to them.

This is my exact thought. It seems that it is more important to get Joe Blow fans in the game then it is to get the kids that really - this is their college - in the game. 8,000 students - to me thats pathetic.

Ok so I know we have all been talking at length about Bo and his comments about Husker fans and everyone has different opinions on our thoughts of why the crowd was so out of it last weekend against KU but I wanted to throw something out there that I just saw from Sean Callahan. A couple minutes ago he tweeted that aTm has already sold 23,516 student tickets and that they are shooting for 30,000. Does anyone have any idea as to how many student tickets are sold and used on game day in Lincoln? I am thinking that if we were able to bring in 20-30k students each game that we would never be having the conversations about a lackluster crowd. Am I wrong? Also - I wish that we were giving students better seats then where they are. Seems like we corner them and really take them out of the game instead of using them to our advantage and having them closer to the sidelines/field. I know...yada yada yada....we need the money from season ticket holders and they should be getting the best seats....blah blah blah. I don't agree with that at all, especially after spending time in student sections in CU and IA State. Thoughts?

My thoughts exactly. We were up and down the whole game. People need to realize where they are at and understand that they are there to cheer on their team and sitting on their hands listening to their headsets does not accomplish that.

I know the defense performed but come on....the offense was in complete "manage" mode and was rediculously blah! The biggest cheer the offense got was when T-Mart trotted on for their first play of the game. We were hoping that he would take a completely blah offense and make some plays. They didn't...almost the entire game. I know its KU, but this game was a complete let down when it came to the atmosphere. Last game I went to, OU last year, was electric. Never have I been through a game like that. The fans didn't even want to leave when the game was over. Bo and Wats need to stop holding back on the lowly opponents and open up the game plan. I get the feeling more often then not that they are and I hate it. We need to throttle these teams and not just manage the game to make sure we come away with a win.

And it was only ruled a fumble after ISU HC sent the official on his side of the field to change it. The official closest to the play called him down, but then changed his mind when the 2nd official came running in. This is EXACTLY what made me furious with this play. The one ref called him down. Then they CHANGED THE RULING ON THE FIELD to a fumble. Just by doing that caused us the fumble. There was not enough evidence to overturn the call on the field. So, if the call had remained that he was down, the call again would not have been overturned, and the Huskers would have held on to the ball. Just rediculous.

Besides the Texas game, this is definitely the game I wanted to go to. This past Friday the wife surprised me with tickets for my birthday. I can't wait to go. Yes I want the Huskers to throttle KU but in no way is there any angst against Turner. He is a class act and when we were looking at coaches I would have had absolutely NO ISSUES if he had been chosen over Bo. For the record I did prefer Bo just because of his fire. "Tur-ner GILL!"

On the other hand, next week we play the team that only beat CU by 7 points. ...and it was only 35 points in the 4th qtr, not 42. We have hope.

It's not exactly cheap for the bars to pick up. For sale to businesses, Cablevision here in St. Joseph, MO charges up to $500 per game! From what I understand, that's pretty much the rate everywhere. That basically means that the bar has to do $1,000 in business just to break even...so it's not really the bonanza for bars that people think. On that note though, here in St. Joseph, Legends Sports Bar carries all the NU games (including the PPVs, as a mgr. here I've got a little pull). For anyone in the area or on their way to KC for anything be sure and stop by. There will probably be anywhere from 60-80 or more other Huskers here. Legends is at 210 N Belt Hwy., part of The Belt Sports Complex, just a minute off the Frederick Blvd. exit. Corner bar that I go to has indicated Cox charges $500. His bar only holds 75 people....and pays the same price as say Brewskys. He has indicated that the Big 10 Network is tiered and charged according to size of establishment. He will be getting a much better deal with the Big 10 Network.

Who are we all kidding - this conference will be defunct way before the end of his contract. Looks like the league just voted to say - "Yes Texas, we know you have Beebe by the B@%^s and therefore run the conference, glad we could extend your control of us" Hell for all we know its probably because no other person in their right mind would take control of a conference completely controlled by UT.
