  1. My boss told me the other day that since I haven't missed any work days this year, that I could take a day off this month, then he said "any day except the 15th".
  2. Brandon Jackson was pretty fast, as well as Lucky, Leon Jackson, Mendoza, Prince, and Helu. I believe they were all recruited by Callahan.
  3. The USC- Idaho game is on FSN right now. Mid second quarter. if you want to watch them.
  4. His inconsistency is what gets to me. He can make a tough catch one moment and then drop and easy one the next. His concentration needs to improve.
  5. Yep, if we beat Wake, we will be rated around 15th because it is sexier for ratings to pump a 1 vs 15 matchup than a 1 vs 20. when the polls come out, NU is going to move up anyway. because at least 2 teams rated higher lost on saturday. Michigan will probably drop out of th top 20 and Tennesee is going to drop after losing to Cal I don't know how far Michigan will drop. They should probally fall out of the rankings, however, the voters will probally not drop them too far as it would be an admission of them being wrong by placing them that high in the first place.
  6. I think there will be a steady rotation of the corners this year. As Bowman gets more up to speed, he will probally get more reps and play probally the most out of everyone. I think the other three will probally get about even reps unless one pulls way ahead or falls way behind.
  7. ONe thing that should be in Demen's head is that Carr might not have a job next year with this loss to App State.
  8. I was extremely satisfied with our team. We did make some mistakes (dropped passes, delay of games, and a few other first game mistakes). However, we put up a ton of yards and points against a decent opponent. They did go to a bowl last year and might make it back this year. There are obviously things that need to work on and I image that our play calling will get a little more advanced against some tougher opponents but 600+ yards and 400+ rushing is impressive no matter who you are playing.
  9. I take it that Will was not too alienated from the program to come back and talk to the team.
  10. Even if they try to double him, he will still be in the backfield creating havoc.
  11. I don't think that we need him at safety with Asante, Green, Wilson, and Thenarse. He will still make an impact on special teams as I think he will be on all the coverage units. He will probally have a better chance at playing running back this year than safety unless we get hit by injuries.
  12. I also think that Carrol hurts USC some with his too cocky attitude and always going for it on fourth down. THat has hurt his team quite a bit in their loses over the past couple of years.
  13. aTm, Arkansas, Clemson, and Georgia all have two backs on that list.
  14. I don't think that he should redshirt. It sounds like his injury is a chronic one that is not necessarly going to heal by just resting. (He has had all spring and summer). I think that we are going to need him this year, and that he is going to play a big part in our running game.
  15. I think that we will see a lot of our base 4-3 in this game, except for obvious passing downs where hopefully we will mix it up quite a bit. Even though Nevada uses a shotgun formation (sort of) they still run the ball quite a bit out of it. We will need to stop the run first and foremost.
  16. I think it will come down to Slaton and McFadden. Possibly Hill if the Badgers go undefeated.
  17. He gets paid to sit an watch football all year. What a life.
  18. Thomas Grove must be a pretty good athlete if he is going to see time as a true freshman (walkon).
  19. He has a lot of talent but there is a big difference between D1 and DII. I think he could play DI but I don't think he would be setting the types of records at NU that he is at Chadron.
  20. Only Seniors could be elected captains... I thought anyone could be voted captain by the players. Dailey was as a Sophomore.
  21. Callahan seems reluctant to redshirt many players, especially defensive players. I image that he will redshirt both Lee and Witt. As he uses Keller, Ganz, and Davis as the emergency third string quarterback. It is hard to tell how the running backs will be handled. With Lucky and Gleen being banged up this fall and Culbert not having much experience yet at back. I image we will see two freshman out of Castille, Helu, Mendoza, and Prince in the backfield. I don't think we will see either of the lineman (Jones, Burkes) play this year. Nor do I think that Hill will see any time at tight end with four guys ahead of him. We might see Paul get some action at reciever as Callahan has shown that he likes to rotate in about six guys or more during a game. I don't see CG or Hagg getting any action unless they impress enough in the return teams to see some action. Defensively is where there could be some players see some action. I don't see Moore, Crick, or Yancy seeing any playing time this year unless one can excel as a pass rushing specialist. As far as linebackers as concerned, I see Lawerence and Washington getting time on special teams and seeing mop up duty as well to develop depth not only for this year but for next year as well. I don't see Stafford playing this year. Secondary will get to see quite a few freshman this year as Blue has been turning heads in camp as well as Prince, if he stays on defense. I am not sure about Sullivan but he might make some coverage teams if he gets used to the speed of the game. I also expect Adi to be used this year as well.
  22. I have sat under them a couple of times. The spot that I sat, there was a spot at the opposite 25 yard line that the pole blocked. That was about the only area of the field that I could not see. However, I always lost the ball on punts when it was in the air.
