  1. Just a 10 or 15 minute tour of some things would of been awesome. But two hours is just crazy. What a stand up guy. I wish him nothing but the best.
  2. I think it would be a lot easier to do this about four to six months from now. It is tough to go off potential and say that this years team will be better than the D in 2001.
  3. Couldn't we say alot of players were "duped" into coming here. I'm sure every coach that has ever recruited a player has put some sort of pressure on a kid to commit to a school. Not that it is a bad thing, but I know from working in sales that you push a product as hard as you can to a customer and try to get them to forget about a possible better product that is out on the market.
  4. I think our running game will improve this year. Maybe not in the total amount of rushing per game but at least in the yards per carry department. The oline will be better, as well as the deep ball loosening up the opponents secondary.
  5. Anyone know the status of the Grix situation? Any chance NU will bring him back in the fold? Probably not...he's got too much of an attitude I don't think that there is a position on our team that he could play at. Sean Callahan told me earlier this year that we don't want him as a DB and that BC doesn't see him as a RB at the next level.
  6. What a class act Brook was. Words can't begin to describe what a great guy he was. The autograph I have of his is probally my most prized Husker possession.
  7. I never really thought about that. I had Andre Jones as a friend on Myspace before he signed to play for the Huskers.
  8. IMO, this number should not be allowed to be on the field....maybe I am thinkingn too much about it... I totally agree. I usually don't care too much about retired jerseys and numbers. But I think this one should never be worn or at least just given to a back up senior every year as an honorary thing.
  9. I think the Humidity will play a huge factor in the outcome of the game. Not many places have the humidity that Nebraska has and on a hot summer day in Sept. it could be really bad. I am personally not that worried about Nebraska's conditioning. BC will have his boys ready to go.
  10. Exactly what I was referring to. They very easily could of used both Jackson and Lucky in the backfield last year, especially on pass plays to get more play makers on the field. Using Castille as a fullback on some sets gives BC the option of motioning lucky out of the backfield for mismatches in the passing game and still leaves him with a running threat behind Keller.
  11. I could actually see Castille as a fullback this year and then running back the rest of his career here. If he is as good as I think he is, then he needs to be on the field in some sort of way. I think that is one thing that BC needs to work on is getting more playermakers on the field. He seems to always stay with the conventional running back, fullback, tight end, two reciever looks when he could change it up to get more playmakers out there.
  12. I think all of the seniors are out to prove something this year. They all came here expecting to do some great things and I think they are all on the verge of it this season.
  13. Im just waiting for NCAA 2008 to come out. That might hold me over for a week before I really start to get pumped up.
  14. I don't know if Darian Hagan had the single game stats that the other players had against Nebraska but I don't think if we ever shut him down or if we ever beat him when he was at Colorado. He was one heck of a play maker at the quarterback position and if my memory serves me right, I think he returned kicks or punts as well.
  15. That is awesome dude. Congrats on getting it.
  16. Baron Miles. An awesome punt blocker and a pretty good DB.
  17. We treated really well, however it will be a cold day in hell before Florida State makes a return trip to Lincoln.
  18. Nebraska has never had anyone win this award. However, it has only been around for 12 years. I would think Trev Alberts might have been in the running for it, if it was around for his last season.
  19. I believe Phillips dropped a pass on fourth and short against Missou which if he would of caught, he could of walked in to the endzone from 35 yards out. He was that wide open. Which just goes to show that who ever our tight ends are, they need to step up and make the plays that are given for them.
  20. There is not going to be much of a committee. It is just Lucky and Glenn, if he is healthy. They will not be two other guys getting some starts and taking huge amount of carries like last year with the four back committee.
  21. Our tightends were actually pretty productive in the red zone as a whole, but they need to be a factor all over the field and not just inside the 20.
  22. I think we will all be impressed with McNeil this year as a pass catcher. He had all of last year to work with Keller on the scout team, so hopefully they gained some rapport with each other.
  23. Even if they can't learn the whole offense, as long as they can make some plays from the plays they know, then it is great with me. Kind of what Tebow was able to do for Florida last year.
  24. I think Spurrier's post-game speech was the icing on the cake. I don't know if it is on the internet anywhere, but it should be posted here if it is.
