  1. Since were bringing back tradition, can we have the old Herbie Husker back. I liked him
  2. If I had to do one cartoon character... yep. Not even close. Jessica Rabbit, Lara Croft, Lana Kane? The Little Mermaid. Before or after transformation? Trick question. If its after hes a pedophile if its before hes committing beastiolity
  3. Man that guy, he still runs like a college kid. Like hes playing for the love of the game.
  4. I will say this, Miami did have swagger. Though way misplaced they did have swagger.

    1. ShawnWatson
    2. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Id have swagger too if my program was complete garbage for literally 90% of its existance. *rolls eyes*

  5. the uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  6. I think 4 is good, not to many extra games. But 8 is probably the best way to do it. It eliminates all doubt on who the top teams are and let them battle it out. I would like to keep the original bowls in the mix somewhere but 8 teams is going to be the magic number.
  7. My mom married my stepdad in 85. There were born and raised in Grand Island. Grew up with the games always in the background with my relatives screaming. I remember watching them marching through in the 90s. Tommys run, the tennessee beatdown. Fell of for a few years till i met my wife and her parents are die hard ISU fans. I had lost some of the passion but when they invited me to my first college game in 04 i got to see ISU beat Nebraska and get razzed all the way back to the car. I had been renewed in my spirit and have been following it closely ever since. Finally got to see my first home game in 10 against Oklahoma and that sealed it for life. Im a fan because of growing up i always heard this University held themselves at a different level. That they cheered win or loss, Its alot to me to have integrity win or lose
  8. Did Pelini's losses concern you? Riley has had his fair share of losses but he has also had his fair share of beating better teams, something Bo lacked. Some of Bos wins and losses concerned me. Again, there are a group of us who were against the Mike Riley hire for reasons other than we just loved Bo so much.
  9. This is what im focusing on as well. But like I said someone posed the question what i didnt like and that is why i didnt like the hire. Rileys losses concern me more than his wins. Some of his losses are perplexing. But im willing to wait and see what goes on in lincoln. Nothing could of ever been done about who was hired and who he hires, that is beyond us. All we can do is hope, because in the end that is all any of us can do.
  10. Good observations.......get over it already! I refuse to judge any of these highers until they've had a season to prove themselves. They asked the question and i posted my answer. You get over it. I am liking what im seeing with recruting and am trying to look at this positively but when they asked the question i gave them my honest answer. I dont like the fact they lost more then they won and the fashion in some of those losses. Those are my legitimate problems with the hire, no negativity or trolling. Those are my issues.
  11. Technically then it doesn't apply to sports because nepotism is reserved for family in business or politics. For gods sake, college football is a business. This is the dumbest argument ever, a butthurt Bo supporter tried to tie nepotism to Riley's hires to somehow justify Bo starting his nephew over another center that many thought deserved the gig, his big picture guy giving his entire brethren (exaggeration, so let's pick over which a Cotton didn't get a scholarship for thirty more posts) a shot and a bunch of assistants their first jobs because they were friends (which is cronyism, the word the original instigator was searching to use) None of those are even close to Mike Riley hiring people like Banker to an unspecified position, as they all have resumes that make the previous assistants look hilarious and people like Banker were courted to be DC for USC. It's not the same thing, and it's obvious. Im curious why this automatically makes him a bo supporter.
  12. Did you hear Frost will be the new coach at wisky Alvaraz said they would get a coach with HC experience. Not happening! Does that mean Bo is getting the job.
  13. In order: You're correct, to say he hasn't done anything to prove he's a good hire is unfair, borderline insane. Cronies are guys like old golf coaches picked from the high school scrap heap. Some of these guys were entertaining offers from USC in the last. We cannot all agree that there are better hires, this may be the best hire. This board has lost it's mind.
  14. That was to try to appeal to the Bo supporters. Sort of smooth the transition if you will.
  15. I agree, if you look at the pictures from the day he was hired to the day he was fired you can tell coaching has been hard on the guy. He has alot grayer hair, hes got a gut now. If i were him id go live the sweet life somewhere else.
  16. Im curious if he would stay here and let his kids finish school. As a parent it would be hard to deny your kids the chance to finish out there school days. But then gain why would you stay in a place that got rid of you.
  17. I think it will settle down some as the staff gets hired here but lets face it folks. Its going to be a long time until the Cornhuskers suit up again and it will probably continue alittle bit after that. Especially if they drop a couple games in the beginning.
