i would imagine that nebraksa is ranked so high because its against our nature as the worlds best fans to bash other fans. sure, we vent a little on message boards, but thats about it. when you take nebraskas fans out of the picture (which im sure weve already established as being 80 percent of internet voters), the results WILL seem skewed.

i caught a few minutes of that game. pretty boring. i cant remember the last time i saw a team play with less enthusiasm. except for.... dang. nevermind.

This offseason is already starting to wear on me. I think we could pass the time by playing a little game. We should challenge some other BigXII boards to see who can come up with the best rumor. Whoever gets theirs reported on ESPN as "fact" first wins. Also, I know this is a little off topic, but is anyone else worried about how James Dobson will do since being named in the Mitchell report?

topekahusker, i truley feel your pain. if you ever feel the need to unload husker tickets in the following years, please contact me. i know its a burden going to the games, but i'll fall on that grenade. in all seriousness, i dont see this streak as a concern. its the ONE thing that the university has nothing to do with. its all up to us, and i think we can handle it.

it seems that callahan sold nebraska to these players with a line like "come play for nebraska, where you will be instantly worshiped by hundreds of thousands of rabid fans." all we got were "star recruits", who wanted to be big stars. when they realized they had to WORK for it, and that we arent stupid, the rosy colored glasses came off fast.
