  1. Sorry. I will be quite now! Wow, ROTFLMAO! This was one of the most entertaining strings I have read on here in awhile!!! All this needs now is to get to the 'Shed so I can laugh at this and the Huck Fuskers thread at the same time.
  2. Oh there is no shortage of hate of CU. First off, it isn't even game week yet. We need a week to let it all marinate. Have to give the Buff fans time to imagine all sorts of impossible scenarios in which they MIGHT win and start the smack talk, that is afterall what they are best at.
  3. I don't have it either, and if NU goes to that bowl I will have to get my happy a$% to a bar.
  4. It doesn't matter that they might have a worse record than us. It doesn't matter if we went 10-2 with their schedule. It comes down to who the bowl chooses. Between Notre Dumb and NU, which has the better following? Considering Notre Dumb has the strongest following of any team in the nation, they get the nod. but, but, but...they don't even travel to Notre Dame Stadium as well as we do lol I really hate to say, but living on the East Coast the last few years has really opened my eyes to just how much ND means nationally. The NE is mainly a Baseball and Pro Football fan base, college football simply doesn't do it for them. That is despite having storied programs such as PSU and Syracuse (yes I know they suck now, but anyone who has been a fan of CFB longer than 6 years knows what I am talking about. Jim Brown, Donovan McNabb, etc.), and a burgeoning Rutgers team over the past few years. The only exception to this is ND. They are the only team that people out here make it a point to look at the score or watch in a bar on Saturdays. There is a reason they have that TV contract, networks don't just throw money like that without getting a return on their investment. There are more "casual" fans that will make sure to watch ND than any other team in the country. That is a very SAD fact.
  5. I think he'll stay for another year. That extra year is the difference between the 1st round and late 2nd to early 3rd and hence a bigger signing bonus.
  6. Agreed. Helu has clearly separated himself from the pack; he's just a very good back in every respect. Helu has seperated himself from the pack as far as the ability to tote the rock goes and that is it. In this offense a back also has to be sound in the passing game, both catching passes and blocking. I said this in other threads and I will say it again, Helu cannot hold Lucky's jock when it comes to the passing game. Lucky is a stud in the passing game. Helu misses blocks a lot, and he even admits he must get better at this. You cannot under estimate Lucky's contributions in this regard.
  7. I seriously doubt that Bo would agree to that - throws too much attention on him, not enough on the team. So you want to change the music, thought that was one thing everyone agreed upon?
  8. True Leach does have a lot of talent, but that is a big part of being a coach in CFB also. Look at TT last year to this year. They went 8-4 in the regular season last year and have a shot to go 12-0 this year, not including the Big XII title game as regular season. That is a 4 game improvement, assuming NU takes care of business vs. CU their record will improve by 3 games. To magnify TT's improvement even more, consider that they did this while playing in the Big XII south. They will have played UT, OU, OSU, KU, and NU by seasons end, they all currently have winning records. NU will have played KU, MU, OU, and TT. Fact is TT played, AND beat, two more teams with winning records, UT and OSU, that NU didn't play, both teams were in the top ten at the time and both are still top 5/15 teams. There is no doubt that I love the job Pelini did this year, but if Leach finishes the job I think he deserves the award.
  9. Actually I wish they would take the Unit Patches off. It is like putting the cart before the horse, they haven't even gone through Post night yet. Even if they get the post they want, there is no guarantee they get the unit they want.
  10. I guess I don't see it as an intro. However anyone who has been to Army-Navy and seen the spirit videos shot by the students, alumni, and faculty, this is very similar to those. Those videos are shown during breaks in the game and do a pretty good job of getting the crowd into it. Of course the crowd at Army-Navy is quite a bit different than KSU-NU.
  11. Mark May is a TOOL! And yes, I would say that to his face. But, you're right. Very true but did you hear May talk about Pelini possibly being up for big 12 coach of the year I was shocked No I didn't hear that. IMO Mark May may be one of the most insightful and brilliant analysts in the country............... nah, tool. In the what ifs though, if NU finishes at 8-4, gets a decent bowl bid and wins there, I don't know who else you could possibly consider for coach of the year honores. How about Mike Leach at TT? His squad finished 8-4 or so last year, now undefeated and in the hunt for a NC.
  12. Isnt Glenn off the team? No, he is suspended indefinately though.
  13. I really hate this kind of statement. So Potter wasn't a "TRUE" Husker when he showed up for practice? This kind of statement degrades a lot of former players who never got to see the field, both in recent past and under TO. If you come to play for NU, walk on or scholarship, then you are a "TRUE" husker no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!!
  14. Exactly, take away that 60+ yard "beautiful" pass by Freeman and you have exactly what this game was by our D, an A$% WHOOPING!!!!
  15. Well a beatdown of CU in Lincoln might be the convincing factor. If NU beats CU handily, as I think they will, then much as the same way Gabe Lynn was lost during the OU-NU game, you would think NU goes into the lead.
  16. You guys really need to watch the passing game closer. Helu can't hold Lucky's jock when it comes to this phase, in both blocking and catching. Helu routinely misses blocking assignments on the blitzes, he even admits this when asked by the media. There is a reason they rotate the backs. Helu is one heck of a talent running the ball no doubt, but he needs to get much better in the passing game for next year.
  17. I don't know, MU seems to be having it's own share of issues. KSU played them ok and Baylor really pushed them. NU played much better against those two teams, that and took TT to the wire. The OU game was abosolutely a buzz saw. If you could dream of the perfect scenario for OU, that was it. I don't think that happens a second time, I don't think NU wins but it isn't nearly that bad. There are two big differences between the NU team that MU saw the first time and the one that is playing now. NU has changed it's offensive schemes and now is really clicking, that and NU has found a tremendous D-Line pass rush. I will be interested to see how well KU plays MU in a few weeks.
  18. Post game chatter from KSU players was that he got hit hard and went out in the 3rd with a concussion.
  19. Today they played him at Linebacker. He got told of the position switch this past Wednesday, one heck of a job he did to get ready. He played in Nickel personnel packages only, about 15 snaps this game.
  20. theirs. They told him to hold off on commiting till he got his grades up. He got his grades up and still wouldnt talk to him. Ok so that begs the question as to why. Everything I see this kid is a great get, why would PSU cool on him?
  21. No actually I think they switched. Tim Beck said during his breakfast speech that KSU started as 3-4, went to 4-3, then went back to 3-4 last game so NU is not sure what to expect exactly.
  22. Huh? Why? If he's such a good recruiter then why does UDub suck? The team that Charlie Weis won with for his first 2 years at ND were Ty's recruits. Why didn't Ty win with them? When he took over the job, he had a couple of good first years with players from the prior staff then fell of. In that way his tenure and Charlie Weis's tenure have been remarkably similar. He recruited decently at Standford previously, so I don't know why he has had such a hard time getting players this time around. I think part of it may be the rise of USC.
