Umm I've noticed this since the beginning of the season and i haven't been on the board recently but...has anyone noticed our d-line? I can't help but feel that every week when the big sports reporters talk up our d-line (especially our tackles) its as if they've never watched a game. We have no inside pressure from the tackles and it seems like our ends don't get off blocks fast enough on runs to the outside. As far as I'm concerned Cameron Meredith is our best d-lineman.

I loved Bo's strategy on D. Take away a couple of breakdowns and we could of taken one of the top teams in the nation in passing yards and they could of had around 200 yards passing. Larry Asante stepped up big in my eyes. He was sprinting to the ball, using good form, and finishing his tackles. He nearly had a potentially game winning int and had one really good pass rush to force a bad throw. I know this kid has taken alot of shots for his poor performances but I think this game showed us his true potential.

I dont blame the refs. I blame the o-line. 2 back-to-back holding calls ruin a field goal or maybe touchdown drive.

Agreed. If you put together Taylor and Ganz, you'd get something looking like Colt McCoy.

I dont know about you, but i question Watson's playcalling ability. When we run, we are usually in a jumbo set with a bunch of TEs moving around. Either that, or he's calling a PA pass were Ganz rolls out to find a TE for a 3 yard gain. Mizzou probably could of called "RUN" out 3/4 of the time it was a run before the ball was snapped. I know Ganz is good at rolling out and throwing on the run but hes taking unneccessary hits, and it doesnt look like we are too deep at QB. My solution- SPREAD. Watson needs to call plays like its late in the 2nd with 2 minutes left. We did it amazingly against VT, and on the first drive we did it a little against Mizzou and scored. Next drive, Watson goes back to the same old jumbo run or PA pass. Also, seems after every long pass or first down or whatnot thrown by Ganz, Watson decides to run the ball the next play. When Ganz gets hot keep passins (see Kansas State). Lastly, Watson should keep a RB in for at least one drive at a time so they can create a rythem so they can warm up to the game. But Im still in HS, what do I know?

Offense reminds me of USC at the colliseum. Seems like were playing to stay in the game, not to win it.

Agreed. Larry does have his moments but had too many missed tackles against SJSU. A big disappointment, he looks fairly athletic.

Not getting some of the recognition he should be. This kid is our Wes Welker and probably the most consistent player on offense so far.

Dont be confused by ECU beating Va Tech. Last year the final score of that game was 17-7 and VT only pulled it off in the final quarter which was by no means a close game. VT wont be a pushover by the time they get to Lincoln. They have a couple games to rebuild some of the confidence they lost.

Really? The only time I noticed West was when he missed a couple tackles. And that was in the first half before the secondary started getting lazy. What did I miss? An interception.

I noticed O' Hanlon got beat on a couple big routes. There wasnt really a running game until Helu came in, and the sweeps and any other outside runs were unimpressive cuz we had bad blocking on them. Holt played really well. 2nd half the d-line seemed to be flat and the secondary gave up alot of yards on flats and quick out routes. Thats about all I saw. jw, is thenarse hurt?

Joe Ganz and Dan Titchener I think were the obvious choices. Not so sure about Barry Turner though especially after his lack luster performance last year. I was thinking more like Cody Glenn-someone the rest of the D and the younger guys can feed off of and look up to. Slauson was a solid pick and I support it, I was kind of expecting Lucky to be a cpt though.
