  1. And the only difference between the pros and college is the money part. There are plenty of drugs, sex, and other issues available to the average college sport star. I'll trade you my college degree for 6 million. College educations are likely one of the most overrated societal dogmas in modern life.
  2. No, it is not. The ONLY smart decision is to take the multi-million dollar contract with possible 7 figure signing bonus. Of course, there is a long list of people choosing against the smart decision...
  3. Yeah, we've sure been dominant vs. ISU lately...
  4. They also have some ocean front property in AZ if you're interested...
  5. Utah and Florida both have their distinct advantages. Ohio, ugh...
  6. That's awesome. Women just generally don't understand this type of awesomeness but it remains quite certainly, awesome.
  7. Turner, Bell, Martinez, Burkhead, Green... It's a good time to be a Husker fan.
  8. Ahhh, OK. I'm not very up to speed on Chicago colleges. That makes sense.
  9. You forgot UI-Chicago. Aren't they a member of the B1G academically? UNL may be near the bottom of the list. But then again, this is a conference of 13 schools named the Big 10, so maybe not...
  10. This can't be a good sign for our receivers.
  11. Most of us go to college, spend 4 years and a lot of money in order to be able to get a job that pays 1-3% of 5 million... Working for $100k/yr (reasonable money by most people's standard) for 40 YEARS is only 4 million. TAKE THE MONEY!!!
  12. Would anybody here not instantly drop their job/careers if someone was going to give you 5 million a year to play a game you obviously love? Hell, give me 500k/year to play a game I don't like (baseball...) and I'd do it in an instant. Anybody? Seriously people...
  13. Sure there are more important things than money, but playing football is not one of them. A chance to have lifetime financial security for yourself and your family is not something you dismiss because you really want to play football IMO.
  14. As much as I love the Huskers, if this were my decision, it wouldn't even be worth thinking about. Take the money and play baseball. Absolutely easiest decision imaginable IMO.
  15. Could we claim that Martinez suddenly does not speak English and must have an interpreter? He could just mumble some gibberish to the interpreter who would then go ahead and answer the question in a less painfully awkward fashion. Then again, maybe Bo could suddenly forget how to speak English too...
  16. What were we talking about again???
  17. Who cares about big buildings. We have mountains. We even have mountains named after boobs.
  18. Good for him. His persistence is impressive. Hopefully there will not be any more obstacles to him joining the team.
  19. Or it could be the world class outdoors and the bustling economy...
  20. Yes, the flatlanders will be gasping for air @ War Memorial Stadium. Fortunately, they won't need to be fully oxygenated in order to dominate Wyoming.
  21. People from Wyoming are always outnumbered 3-1. We barely have any people to begin with...
  22. I'm excited that my 307th post was in this thread! I'm a simple man... (for those who don't know, 307 is the area code for the entire state). No line on tix yet, but I'll be scanning my patient base and any available resource starting very soon. Go Big Red! AND Powder River, Let'er Buck!
