I'm inclined to believe you, except that this is what we heard about Spano as well. And while it's not the same injury, it's a significant injury. Broken bones take time to heal. The question is, is six weeks enough time? the real question was it a broken bone, I doubt it. Last I heard, a small hairline fracture. Big difference may have been posted, but Beck was quoted as saying that Burkehead will play tomorrow. That the coaches want him getting touches in all of the last four games (that's assuming we beat K State tomorrow).

And what would he do once he gets there? Stand out on the street? Have his own personal Heisman ceremony at another location?

Also, Bo said this in the LJS yesterday: I gotta tell you - this is making me nervous. C'mon....this is NOT a Spano type situation. There is a huge difference in a broken foot / toe and a torn ACL. Spano was probably ready to return when he did. Burkehead is probably ready to return now...he was probably okay a few weeks back. This team is not going to risk the future of one of its RBs to beat a limping Kansas State....

I agree with the OKIE State loss..... In 2004 we could chalk all loses (no matter how bad) to it being Callahan's first year.. But in 2007 when we were fresh off a Big 12 North Championship and looking at a great year....that loss at home was unbearable.... haha..2007 sucked!

Agreed, however, our Defense has been consistenly GREAT all year long...now we are coming up to three teams that have had major inconsistencies on Offense. Our D will eat em alive and if our offense gets a spark...it'll be a woodshed beating .. I bought a whole kegs worth and I'll be drinking til december 5th! GO BIG RED!!!

Did you see the way that ISU almost scored at will against Kansas? Kansas (aside from the Sun Belt Teams) will be the weakest defense we play all year. I think our running game will be great with both Helu and Robinson switching off and our QB play will see a major improvement with more time to throw. I like this game...I am more worried about the Colorado game than anyhting else. NU 28 KU 10

With the pressure by our front four, I could see Landry Jones throwing a pick six or two, or at least an interception or two. Game after game I expect something to just "pop" in the heads of our offense.....I honestly can't see that happening against an Oklahoma team that is 5 points away from being udefeated and a top five team. Regardless...I know we'll all be watching and cheering!

Our d will let them score four TD's. Our Offense will score one. What a dissapointing turn of events this season.

GOD I HOPE YOU'RE WRONG...BUT WHEN THEY FLASHED THE SCHEDUL UP THERE.....I dont see our D being able to keep us in every game....someone better find something that this offense is good at...because scoring touchdowns is certainly not their strong point.... ...and here we all thought that Green was going to be our savior....hell..I was hoping that Lee would get back in the game.... Pathetic.

I agree...never has a W left this type of feeling in my stomach. I have questions about the Offense that have absolutley no answers. This is going to be bad next week. Our defense can only win games for so long.

Having their two best offenseive players out has NOTHING to do with the loss...our defense played lights out....it was our offense that laid the egg...
