Any of you ACE'S want to re-evaluate your opinion on Kobe Bryant?

We stopped at Beer City for a few last November after my brother's bachelor party. They can sure pack them in that little hole-in-the-wall bar as it was standing room only. One of my dad's buddies owns it - I grew up in that bar when I was a kid. It's small but a good time - Oh If those walls could talk over the last 40 years.

Beer City in on 42nd & L in Omaha NE used to be called Village Bar back in the 70's and early 80's and they had the COLDEST BEER IN TOWN sign for years. I can't find the article on HuskerExtra but Boyd Epply a few weeks ago mentioned the 40 myth in a interview. Since he pretty munch invented the strength & conditioning program for the whole nation I believe him. I read somewhere that there is over 40 Heads of strength & conditoning programs that have worked for him at Nebraska

In the 70' and 80's unlimited worked because they had freshman teams and had dedicated staff for them. Today it's too tough with the scholly limit. Pellini I think is having around 30-40 WO's per year which is manageable. I think they redshirted 65 kids the last 2 years.

My point is basketball is a team game, and your argument about Wade and Kobe had one thing in common, Shaq. That guy was the reason that the Lakers were dominant in the early part of the decade. Your pretty much spot on except for the comment that jordan would have had more rings if he would have turned pro at 18 - WRONG - He only played 2 years of college ball anyway but all jordan fans seem to forget that he didn't when anything until the Lakers, celtics and pistons got old and if Magic and Byron Scott don't get hurt in 91 the Lakers probally would have beat the bulls - The Lakers won game 1 that year. The bulls won their titles when the superstars were retired. Jordan went to NC for three years not two years. But whoever said the Lakers are too dependent on Odom is spot on. The lakers are relying way to much on Odom which isn't a good thing because the way his back is acting up. They need to give the ball to Gasul and Bynum before Odom becauseid they depend on him the way they did in game 6 Odom will be gone and then Kobe will really need to step up. Odom doesn't even start - The ball does go to Gasul and Bynum before Odom even has a chance to get on the court. If his back is acting up it hasn't affected his play the last 2 games, he's not giving that as an excuse. You sure know basketball, the Lakers average age is 26 and Kobe has about 7 good years left. He's only 30 years old. Realistically this will be the second of a 4-5 year run being in the finals. Jerry Buss the owner already said he will go over the salary cap to bring in players next year if needed.
