  1. Fall camp? FALL CAMP!?!?!?!?! He Who Is Not Named called it that. Now I gotta put vinegar in my eyes!
  2. Not sure what this means, but Ferenz just offerred Paul a schollie. Said he has what it takes to be Hawkeye.
  3. Fall ball 30 days :worship
  4. Lots to like with this young man, just based on his film. Nice routes, sells out his body to make the catch, fights for the ball. Once he catches it, he has a nice burst. Reminds me of Nate Swift coming out of h/s. If that works out to be true, I'll take him in a heartbeat.
  5. Evidence, no. But I recall hearing from TO or some other reputable source that there is no such thing.
  6. Same could be said about alot of Nebraska fans. lack a knowledge of anything not Nebraska. If you only knew how many times I had to tell a NE fan, BTW its Daniel not Daniels Fro, you know I always have your back, my man, but on this one I gotta demur. I have used the name "Daniels" when talking to obnoxious MU fans with the sole purpose of imagining them popping a vein. I apologize. I was wrong. Terrible thing. But I kinda think I was not the ONLY one doing that.
  7. If we did a thread on heart, Cory would be in the discussion....maybe not at the top but he was a gamer when the team needed one.
  8. Good point. Or it used to be “darn coaches running off another local kid with ties to the program”. Yeah. Because the situation with the current coaching staff is no different than what we had with the last staff. Completely identical, and kids who leave do so for exactly the same reasons. The situation is different. This kid is a Mackovicka so we'd never call him a quitter. Patrick Witt anyone? He was blasted for being afraid of competition. Called a quitter. Appears he made a career decision based on academics. Mackovicka leaves to see the field at a smaller school. Is that related to competition? I think its a good move but there seems to be a double standard here. Gotta disagree here. Most of the posters who expressed an opinion on Witt leaving did not call him a quitter or any other name, and most wished him best wherever he went.
  9. And you "got" Josh Smith.......oh wait....... Well, at least you "got" Darrell Scott.....oh........
  10. Grasshopper, you try to talk smack here but on Buttzone you don't sound so optimistic. Get used to rug burns.
  11. Grasshopper, proceed to 2:45 and see a glimpse of your future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sfPmgnuX_M...player_embedded
  12. So.......how're the RBs doing at good ol' "10 wins and no exCUses"? Loving that depth?
  13. Unless you got a degree from the vaunted sCUm Skool of Jurnilizm, in which case it would be Knumb Knuts. Weak sauce, grasshopper.
  14. My suggestion.....puff puff pass and then go piddle up a rope.
  15. I agree with you, but to be fair, I don't think this kid has time to make reads, his line sucks. Yep.
  16. I've scoured google and cannot find anything yet..... I've seen a number of places that he went to Fort Scott Community College, but I can't find him on their roster. That might be an old roster.
  17. What is so unbelievable about that? Do you not understand English? I just said no one predicted him going there. People shouldn't write off Iowa State just because they have been in a rough patch recently. It wasn't too long ago they were challenging for a North division title. Is he considered a 'hidden gem'? Just curious why no one predicted him to go there. I am by no means a recruiting guru He does not appear to have much interest from D1 schools.... but i suppose scout and rivals are not quite as omniscient as they would like us to believe..... This is not on the ISU board for Rivals or Scout. Correction On both boards now.

  19. Not sure who the DB is, but it looks like NU just offered Kyler Reed's younger brother, Dagan Reed class of 2011. Listed as a RB with 4.53 40. Gnarly!
  20. Rivals is reporting that Suntrup was given an offer by someone......maybe NU? Yep from NU. Okay, I was reserving comment on this kid unless NU offered. Now that it has, I have some concerns. I watched his film. Most of it was against one team, so we can see his performance in that game but that's it? IMO, his O line did him no favors because he was scrambling way too much. But his throwing motion looked awkward ala shot-putting too much.....like Keller. He can scramble in the backfield, but there is very little video of him tucking and running. Is he more of a pocket passer? I'm not necessarily down on this offer and accede that the coaches know way more than me after seeing Christian up close. I just wish I could see more than one game of this young man. There were also a lot of plays where he didn't look that accurate or seem to show a good arm? I don't know, jury is out still I guess. Accuracy and wounded ducks. I'm going to give him a temporary mulligan on those because he was running for his life too many times. Did anyone also notice all the pass interference calls on the other team? They were getting beat regularly and were yanking on receiver's arms to stop a catch.
