Couldn't agree more. I know that the board experts are pounding it through everybody's skull that Green won't be starting, but wouldn't it be kind of nice IF (and I am saying IF) he did? That means his talent level is beyond what several other more experienced quarterbacks. Nevertheless, give this guy a break. While I think some of the comments are being directed at the Husker fans who are pimping him up, some of the posts do seem to be mocking him.

Not bad. I do think Texas Tech is going to fall and fall big this next season. Something about a team cruising to a good regular season, flopping on their bowl game, and then losing so much talent on offense. I would actually put them in at 5th and move OSU to 3 and Baylor to 4.

Living in Phoenix, I see the "contest and respect" that Arizona State and U of A have for each other in what both admit is their biggest rivalry. I'm sure that their rivalry isn't even the nastiest one around. I believe that Nebraska - Colorado is a rivalry. Granted it doesn't have the rich history, honor, and tradition that the Nebraska - Oklahoma rivalry once had, but the Nebraska-Oklahoma rivalry is gone. It left when the Big XII ruined the once priceless match up. But let's face it, the Colorado-Nebraska game is a toss up every year going into the game, regardless of records. Call it what you want, but if it's not a rivalry, it's one heck of a great game! (When the CU fans aren't trashing the field that is!) You really need to come up with a better argument. Period. T_O_B i have stated my argument many times before. Frankly a rivalry is built on contest and respect, not hatred. CU is no more a rival than MU is. in fact if i had to choose i would say that MU is more of a rival.

This will be good ammunition for a look-a-like thread if our starting quarterback hasn't been decided prior to a game.

I don't think anybody is not aware of the situation. We are reminded it of all the time and it seems that everybody wants to throw it in Nebraska fans' faces and make it sound like we are horrible rotten people. How should he respond to the negativity? Admit his mistakes at Nebraska and move on. Don't act like it was the fans' fault that they were one of the worst defensive teams in the nation. Get another job that's a better fit for you and stop speaking ill of the university and its fan base. The "tool" status in my opinion is that for reason only and has nothing to do with his poor coaching performance. The only apology he deserves is from the individuals who made his last year at Nebraska more miserable.

If he's not a tool, then he is definitely one in the running. I, and I'm sure many other Husker fans, would have so much more respect for him and the other members of the old coaching staff if they would just admit their failures, move on, and stop pointing the finger at others. While I think a few fans took their animosity out in an extremely inappropriate fashion, I think the general annoyance of many other fans with these clowns is definitely deserved. Any word on the Vegas over/under for average points Minnesota will allow their opponents next season? I think if it's anything less than 50 I might be making a trip.

I'd offer you something from Phoenix in return, but I can't think of anything here you can't get in Lincoln. Turkey legs? That sounds unbelievably cool. All we serve for food at the games is Valentino's pizza (probably has something to do with nostalgia, considering the first Valentino's was founded in Lincoln. I don't think there is any way the crotchety AP voters will put Nebraska in the Top 25. The Coach's Poll might have us....definitely we're a bubble team in that poll.

they did beat Florida! Actually, I don't think Mississippi is a bad pick. So many times I can recall in recent memory of teams getting screwed over by the bowl system and blowing the game they are supposed to run away with.

More people guessed Miami, OH correctly than Nebraska....but I think that's mostly because most people thought they were picking Miami, FL.
