  1. Dugout Bar in OKC for the NU/OU game w/ Stuntz to Crouch throw. Only Husker fan in there but i was a regular at the time, so when that play happened and i was the only one cheering...the cook shouted from the kitchen, "who the F*** is the NU fan!". After seeing it was me, he just turned around and went back to the kitchen. I ordered no food that day! 100 or so OU fans and one NU fan...got a beer bought for me after the game. Good joint, good fans, good times!! Not sure that could take place in many other towns.
  2. Finally! Should've listened to us last year! Aw, well....congrats aTm and good luck.
  3. I think JoePa is fearful of ending up like Bear Bryant...announce retirement, die in less than a month. Love JoePa...always entertaining!
  4. The most that i've been told is messing w/ players who had signed LOI's to other schools. Although most of the staff responsible is gone now, including Indiana's new recruiting coordinator, who i believe was the FSCC head coach.
  5. Good to see my cousin's article getting some notice on HB!
  6. So what do you do if you are Al Golden/Jim Larranaga(sp?)? Do you stick around? Do you wait this year until jobs come open after the seasons and then leave? What does Mizzery do? They now have a coach implicated by name in this mess!
  7. Not to state the obviouse, but they are basing that on a game played in December that "we" had no interest in playing. IMHO...let a Pac-12 team come into Lincoln and see what they can leave with....i'm betting its not a "W"!
  8. As a Chiefs fan, even i wonder what is going on over there!
  9. Not really...media only talks about OU/OSU around here. Tulsa is the forgotten school.
  10. Saban at Alabama, Meyer at Florida. It get your point, but the end of this season feels like a step backward. Neither of these were after being a HC for three years their first time.
  11. The game that mattered? You sir, are an idiot. They got better at the end of the year, and you got worse. Now you get to think about losing to a .500 team and question your program for the next 8 months. You don't know us very well. In a week or two, everyone will be elated when we find out Watson isn't coming back next year. This will last until Bo announces our new OC. Then we will have part of us saying what a great find while the rest of us whine and complain. Then, we'll all pump up Carnes or whoever as the next Tommie Frazier while continuing to throw Martinez and Green under the bus. None of us will waste the next eight months thinking about losing to Washington. When we lost seven bowl games in a row, I never once thought we wouldn't be back possibly playing for a NC the next year. +1
  12. Ah, and we were just starting to communicate...oh well!
  13. Not sure if you thought i was bashing you...i wasn't but i would say "showcase" wins maybe not yet. His defense is definitely been up to the task; however, the offense hasn't kept up. So again i'll say, get an identity on offense and stick to it. Get the players to play in it and the coaches who can coach it. "Showcase" wins will follow.
  14. The game that mattered? You sir, are an idiot. They got better at the end of the year, and you got worse. Now you get to think about losing to a .500 team and question your program for the next 8 months. You're still hanging around...not much of life that you have, huh? I know you're hurting right now. Don't worry; you'll get over it eventually. Notice the countdown clock in the upper corner...I'm over it already. Moving on to recruiting talk, coaching talk, etc. The game was what i anticipated and turned out the way i expected.
  15. And that should mean making some HC decisions about the Offensive side of the coaching staff. that has already happend. bo wanted to run this style of offense, and he wanted tmart to start. he made this decision so some of this falls on his shoulders. Agreed but i doubt Bo told Wats to continue to always run the same plays that are not working and to NOT mix it up once in a while. I'm also betting he didn't want the O-Line and WR's to perform the way they have either. That's coaching and what we have is not working. Go w/ a philosophy, if its zone read, fine but get some coaching to get us where Bo wants us to be as an offense. i agree... as i mentioned in another thread, 'fire watson'. its like a brown bag with a buncha plays that dont identify the team, they just pick one outta the bag and hope it works.... no mythology what so ever

  17. My day just keeps getting worse...think i will start drinking! Again!
  18. Linky Too bad for Parker...hopefully no affect on his baseball chances.

  20. Just had to get in before this is locked!

  22. NO! Watson/Gilmore/Cotton...YES!
  23. It might provide some different recruiting areas possibly facing SEC teams...visibility. Of course, the difference in climates might not be a good selling point to some but the exposure will be good nonetheless. And we still could face some old foes if we fall to the Big 12-2 matchups.
  24. Well, it won't be Boise's OC...looks like he is headed to Indiana. EDIT: Actually, i guess it was their Asst. Coach/WR coach not the OC. What about Bryan Harsin, the actual OC?
  25. Eh blow off the cheap shots Youdub, we expected more from our season and it didn't turn out the way we hoped. On that note, UW played their *sses off last night w/ a lot of passion and heart. That's the way a team should play! Congrats on the victory...Locker proved he's a gamer. Good luck next season and we'll meet up again.
