  1. No , but I will predct the score for you. WF 28 huskers 9 No I believe 28 is the number of nose berries that Daniels eats on that day.
  2. Bigger don't alway's mean better. Auburn is not going to be an easy win. I'm expecting to see a better defense then Oklahoma.
  3. I honestly didn't know that was legal, but hey, it was a classic. At first, I thought they screwed up, and decided to hike the ball anyhow, but now, I know it was planned all along. Callahan's post game conference confirmed that. I couldn't stop laughing. I'm so glad that Cally opened up the playbook and got a lot of trick plays. I think we are 100% at completing trick plays. Sportscenter look out.
  4. Texas, whatever we have to do to get into a BCS game.
  5. Texas, we need to get that win back, and maybe in the process start up a really good rivialry.
  6. I don't know, I figured someone on this messasge board made all of the Highlight clips that go on youtube.com. It's the perfect song for the Colorado game.
  7. hey punk, i just don't see it!!! The HUSKERS are on a mission. Our offense is way to potent for the Ok State defense.
  8. It was all neccessary. NU became 1 dimensional and could not pass the ball to save its life in solich's final 3 years. At least when Devaney and Osborne were around, we could rely on SOME kind of passing game, but with Solich, he made it a mission to make the team a 1 man army with his QB this, QB that, QB here, there and everywhere mentality. Solich's offense became to predictable and lacked creativity. The QB was running more with the ball then the DAMN RB/IB was. The only one who sold us a bill of goods that turned out to be crap was Tom Osborne. That's something that will be held against him untill he dies. Had we conducted a proper coaching search back then, this wouldn't be an issue. Instead, he decided to play the loyalty card and appoint a guy simply because he wanted to keep the old offense going, not realizing that teams were on the rise like Texas (which beat him in 1996, that should have been a sign of things to come), Colorado (which won a title before he did in the 90's), Kansas St which went from consecutive losing seasons to realing off 9+ consecutive win season begining in 1993. Solich was not succesful without Tom's recruits, plain and simple. Whether you like it or not. Under him every streak had begun to fall. The constant losses to Kansas St, the humiliation in Colorado and the Rosebowl, the poor recruiting, the inability to form a passing game untill his throat was on the line, the lousy record on the road. Streaks that neded under Solich: 1-33 consecutive seasons with 9+ wins 2-being ranked in the final USA Today top25 3-being ranked in the final AP poll for 348 consecutive weeks 4-Losing 3 games in November since 1961 5-40 year streak of consecutive winning seasons 6-24 game winning streak against Missouri 7-47 game winning streak at home There's more, i just can't think of them. Lets not count his 1-11 record against top25 teams on the road, his 2-4 record against Kansas St, his 1-4 record against Texas, and ending a god knows how long streak of beating Colorado in Lincoln. What about being blown out by Colorado (2001), Miami (2001), Penn St (2002), Iowa St (2002), K State (2002), Missouri (2003), Texas (2003), Kansas St (2003). Or his 4-9 record on the road since 2001. It was time for a change..the records speak for themselves. I am not saying Callahan has a better record at the moment, but i am willing to be patient nameless, very good post and i agree with all, except Instead, he decided to play the loyalty card and appoint a guy simply because he wanted to keep the old offense going i do agree that TO played the loyalty card. this was another staple of past husker football. IMO, i think TO saw the writing on the wall and realized that changes needed to be made from an offensive perspective. TO was and is a genius on the matter of offensive football. i am just not sure if TO had the energy to put up with the BS from the husker faithful to completely change his entire offensive sturcture. just my thoughts!
  9. heres my take. yes, the kansas d definitely had more talent the the N o-line. no question. i think they were ranked #2 in th big 12...no bad... as far as whose fault, this is an issue that will never be decided. Frank was able to bring some talent to lincoln. my perspective, he just did not bring enough! BC is doing a much better job. IMO. we should have an infusion of some better o-line talent next year. once the o-line gets going, so will the rest of this offense.
  10. even if Jesus comes to N, the so called husker faithful would crucify him!
  11. thanks to both for the info. is Boatman a good get? any info on how talented this big guy is???

JUCO. anyone have any info on him?
  13. i live in sw mizzou. nothing on the local channels last night. i think the whole B****** idea is to get to that magical point of a sell out. i have read on a couple of mizzou boards that a sell out is highly unlikely. apprarently, as is typical with the tigger fans, they do not want to support a losing proposition and the general feeling is that the tiggers have yet to prove anything substantial. if the skers get out to a quick start, the stands will likely be filled with red after the half......
  14. this was a great game. however, i strongly disagree that this loss falls on le kevin's shoulders. this was a team loss. wins and losses do not rest on the shoulders of one or two players. this is a team sport. i am very proud of this husker team. they faced adversity and pulled through like true champions! this team has come a lone way from where they were. they should all hold thier heads high. I AM PROUD OF THESE BOYS!!!!!
  15. I see the the ISU game as the biggest plus! this game creates a nightmare for any D coordinator. does TT load the box and force us to beat them with the pass? may not be a wise choice. ZT and Co. displayed what they are capable of last week. if they play us straight up, the O line has fewer defenders to block and the line will open the holes and Cory runs wild..it will be interesting to see how TT decides to approach this one!
  16. IMO too much is being made on the playing status of several freshman. we all know that this O has struggled all year. finally in game 4 things start clicking. i don't know, but I think the coaches made the the right call. YOU STICK WITH WHATS WORKING. put in new players and the timing may have suffered big time. i seriously doubt that cally and co will just blatantly waste a redshirt year for any of these freshman. they will see more playing time as the year progresses and the situations present themselves...just be patient.
  17. i was not bashing the players. i just think they need to relax and have fun. this is a young team and the just need to learn to play together...that will come. but the blame does not lie soley with the coaching staff. from what i have seen and read, the players are in pretty tight with the coaching staff. so that apprently is not the problem. also, the coaches must be doing something right, as i have seen improvements after every game.. maybe we fans just need to be patient and let the coaches and players do what the do best! IMO the coaching staff is in a catch 22. no matter what the do, it will be wrong!
  18. after the last two games cally and co were accused of being to vanilla. throw in a few new plays, and formations and all of a sudden its too complex?? this system can and will work at this level!!! the offense made some very good progress from last week...anyone see the 1st half?????? the 2nd half was lost due to mental errors!! this is not a complexity issue. this is lack of concentration. IMO, the players are putting too much pressure on themselves and possibly trying too hard... they just need to relax, line up correctly and execute. the rest will follow.
