  1. Interesting choice - I decided to check out their depth chart and there are 3 QBS's listed -- 2 FR and 1 RFR. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/wyo/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2011-12/depth_chart_non_event/FBdepthchart.pdf He must think he's all that because it's not like someone's going to be graduating anytime soon to grant him probable immediate starter status.
  2. No more of those awful cheesy season previews on Foxsports from renowned experts, er, I mean, players' fathers -- Coffman and Freeman.
  3. Seriously, dude, put that crack pipe down....not even funny. I do see Cotton moving to a desk job in the next few years. I can live with that as long as that desk is nowhere near the athletic dept or coaches offices. and then moved to the basement, without his stapler.
  4. I just stumbled on something that said he'll probably be at Wyoming. http://www.lostlettermen.com/8-12-2011-tyler-gabbert-wyoming/
  5. I have high regard for Ron Brown, despite my initial reservations... that being said, I'm a little nervous about him being a RB coach for the very first time, coupled with an OC who is also a rookie.
  6. I thought the "Mangino is fat" joke got old after the first pic or two. Years later, it's beyond boring. I don't know, the one of him next to the Orange Bowl mascot still makes laugh pretty hard. I agree with knapplc that the fat jokes are pretty lame, however there was one that I did like -- something to do with him standing next to a ref, and the comparison was the number 10. Now, back to the regularly scheduled topic, for which I have nothing to add.
  7. Good for him. Didn't he actually resign during Pedey's tenure and then coaxed back? I'd be ok with this. Pretty much anyone but Trev would be ok in my book, though.
  8. It can't be Beebe as he would have to relocate from under out of Mack Browns DeLoss Dodds desk butt. Fixed it for ya. Fixed your fix.
  9. "Cultural differences" was one reason I wondered why they were seeking to get into the Pac-? last year. I don't think they fit in well with that brand name either. Outside of the Arizona schools, travel time would be ridiculous on top of that.
  10. As I said, I wouldn't mind being in the same conference with UT as long as their votes and opinions count as only one, on only equal (not above) footing as everyone else, and no special concessions are made to them. I would love to see them actually have to leave the state to play in some cold weather for 4/5 games a year. :-)
  11. But aren't there other teams in the SEC with their own networks? I'm pretty sure Florida has it's own.
  12. You would think he would relish this, though, since I noticed he enjoyed being a media whore before the 2010 season started. I guess he realized he is being paid to coach and now he doesn't WANT to be in the spotlight. Too bad. Or, rather TFB.
  13. I know this has been talked about to death and then some, but if the SEC expands with A&M + one or more others, does it cause the other conferences to follow suit. If the Big Ten expands and adds more teams, is there really a point to referring to "TEN" any longer? Now, here's a loaded question... for the sake of argument, let's just say UT wanted into the B1G. Would you be in favor of it, provided they signed in blood that they would abide by the same rules as everyone else and face penalties for coloring outside the lines? Personally, if there were assurances of the above, I'd love to see them in the conference. That's just me, though, even though I don't see how they'd ever agree to be an equal member of a conference.
  14. Is this something that has recently changed? I admit not paying attention to exactly where the ball was placed, but for some reason I always thought the NFL placement was further back than the NCAA.
  15. Definitely surprised at how high that rating is, considering he's never actually played an NFL game yet. He's off to an awesome start in the preseason game tonight, though.
  16. I don't think he'll be the punter, but so far it seems he'll do the place kicking and kickoffs. They have a rookie punter, last name is HENRY.
  17. I would hope that loss in the bowl taught the team a lesson. If the team doesn't show up mentally, they will get beat again. I hope it provides the appropriate level of motivation come game time.
  18. The announcers did make mention of Henery's accolades - "The most accurate kicker in NCAA history". And yet no Groza award...
  19. First kickoff in the Eagles' preseason game - he put it 8 yards into the end zone. Living in Eagles territory, I certainly hope he does well, or I'll have to hear it from my in-laws. Make me proud, young man!
  20. There was a previous posting here: http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/53502-anyone-notice-the-new-jersey-patch/
  21. Rex. The man just rarely loses a yard when he's got the ball. Like someone else said he's a great leader and workhorse. He just contributes in some way every time he's on the field. I don't worry when I see him with the ball.
