  1. I prefer to watch alone, at home, since I absolutely need to concentrate on the game. I do not take kindly to any distractions by anyone. So you might say everyone is annoying to watch with.
  2. The usual prediction until I win: Big Red - 31 Opponent - 16 Passing 280 Rushing 190
  3. I usually like what he writes, and he does seem to be fair and honest for the most part. Not always accurate, though.
  4. Final polls are all that concern me. Outside the top 10, it's all a crap shoot so rank away.
  5. Wow...show me the love!! You two should just get a room already!
  6. So Tigerboard isn't for you then? Welcome to Huskerboard! well.....I used to post on there, but I actually changed my password to something I normally do not use. Well I can not remember it and it won't let me get it. I tried making a new name and every name I come up with is already supposedly "taken". So I said screw it........and the format really ticks me off. I like you already! Welcome, and hope to keep things civil over the next two weeks (and beyond). Good luck to the Tigers against Nevada, not that they'll need it.
  7. Normally, I'd agree with your assessment, but I'm enjoying this one a fair amount. Karma is a bitch. On another KU site, a Jayhawk started a "Ha ha you lost, Nebraska" type thread that stayed near the top of the thread chain. Then, the story of the first fight came out. Gives them a little something to think about instead of bashing everyone else, which they seem to spend most of their energy doing on that site. Again, Karma is a bitch, so I am enjoying this, mostly because of the timing of it. For all the stones tossed at us over the years, it's finally nice to see a few lobbed back over the wall.
  8. Big Red - 31 Opponent - 16 Passing 280 Rushing 190 I'm just going to keep predicting this exact outcome till it wins me a prize, whether it makes sense or not!
  9. Just read my post above - their strength is special teams play. On a long FG attempt, they'd have been pinning their ears back like nobody's business. Even punting (according to ME) was risky at that point. Should have gone for it on 4th and 1. Whoever mentioned it's only being discussed because of the plays following - I don't agree. It would have bugged me regardless of the outcome that the coaches didn't try to win in right there, and not give the ball back.
  10. That could have been me. However, I'm not miserable, I'm seldom drunk, I am a Husker fan, my Mom was definately not a b!tch and though I may be a ba$tard, for me it was an accident of birth, but you, sir, you are a self made man. And now that I think about it I wasn't in Blacksburg. T_O_B I'm reasonably sure there's no way you could have been as miserable as this guy was, EVEN before the game started he was an insufferable turd burger. I'm also thankful it was in the Husker section because if he sat elsewhere, it would have given surrounding Hokie fans an impression that we're all horses asses.
  11. Buffs should wear those uni's for every future game this year. I have to say, they looked better than what I thought.
  12. What I did? I exited the stadium, thankful that the miserable drunken Husker SOB that sat behind me was gone.
  13. I was one of those people singing the praises of both CU and BU. That may have been a bit premature, then again, the season is still young. Overall, the whole Big 12 is not as good as I thought it would be, SO FAR anyway. The only two decent matchups from the Big 12 non-conference (where both teams were ranked) were BYU/OU and NU/VT -- both very low scoring 1 point losses for the Big 12. OU MUST take care of business at Miami.
  14. You heard Lee's hand was off at the wrist, right? That's all you need to know at this point. Well, that and the fact that they're putting a bionic hand in place on Wednesday. So you can probably skip these threads until Thursday so you can find out how the new appendage is healing. And remember - don't flame the rumor providers. We're providing a service. the reports I heard was that he had polio. So, we've gone from broken hand to broken non-throwing hand to a cast on his non-throwing thumb to a bandage on his non-throwing thumb. Now, from the staff the lack of practice time is from Lee being on medication, and Lee will likely rest during many monday practices from here on out, by design. http://my.journalstar.com/post/Husker_Extr...esting_lee.html The only thing I'm sure of?
  15. i dont see them going 9 - 3 this year. i see a loss against Purdue, Washington, USC and maybe Navy. Umm, Purdue? Really? I agree - Purdue? Really? But will add, Navy? Really? and Washington? Really? USC will rebound, so I still don't see ND winning that one. Washington got up for a conference rival, just like Oregon/Oregon State do for USC. I see them improving this year with the new coach, but it won't be enough - or will it? I'd love it if they did get to a bowl because otherwise our non-conference next year really looks embarrassing.
  16. Our boys are pissed off and will be anxious to take it out on someone....Sorry Cajuns. It ain't gonna be pretty. Yeah, I remember how pissed off they were after losing to Virginia Tech last year, and were going to take it out on Missouri. Yep, I remember that well. Now, I am in no way saying La-La = MU, but I see this as a hangover type game, with a closer-than-the-experts-think type of win.
  17. When it was 4th and 1 on the 37, I said out loud, you have to go for it here. My thinking was along the following lines: 1) If you can't make 1 yard when it counts, well, at least it was an aggressive attempt to win, instead of playing not to lose. 2) Va Tech has special teams that could A - block the punt or B - block the field goal attempt, making their last drive even easier. Going against VT's special teams, IMO, was far far riskier than trying to get a yard and then run out at least most of the clock. Summary: Trying to get that one yard was low risk, high reward, while kicking of any sort was high risk, low reward.
  18. Accuscore predicts 31-28 (VT favor). I can go either way here - I can think of ways to get blown out, and I can think of ways to win by a small margin. I'm very much on the fence with this game.
  19. Uh, you might want to change your tone on the coach's name - that's reserved for our North division rival fans, since it's all they can come up with. The bigger issue is why do you need extra fuel? I don't quite get the fascination with this topic at all, by either side. Don't you guys get very loud for everyone, that's what the claims are anyway. Pelini meant nothing towards VT at all, he was just downplaying everyone trying to shove your crowd noise down his throat repeatedly. Your crowd noise is well documented, so I'm sure it's just his way of saying that the guys have to be prepared to just play football and not worry about the crowd.
  20. In the immortal words of Tommie Frazier, "It’s not where I’ve been . . . it’s where I’m going, fat a _ _!" Despite the fact that Illinois is a terrible team, I will still give MU props for handling them easily with the young guys who replaced all the name brands.
  21. I believe Collins will be headed towards Standford, where he was offered a scholarship last year (but chose UNL). On scholarship, though? I would think he'd have to be a walk-on player at this point. Of course, I don't know their roster situation, but just seems odd they'd give him a football scholarship.
