  1. That is a pretty good top group to be in for a running back. It seems like many posters aren't as high on this kid as they should be. He has good film against great competition. Very athletic for a big back. Nice vision too. Let's reel this kid in. You're right but I just think many of us are really hoping for Ballage and when comparing the two I think most of us would take Ballage hands down. If we can't land Ballage then I think London would be a good alternative. I like ballage but I think he is more of a LB. I agree with just trying to get him on campus and see where he plays out bc he is such a great athlete. If we are recruiting a guy to play running back I think this is our guy.

  3. Wow. How dare our staff wait and evaluate a kid at a camp then offer him. That is a huge advantage of in state talent. U can get them in and really evaluate where they fit. Even if u slow play them their allegiance to the in state school wins over other schools being early to offer. Happens to us a lot. We offer a kid early but the in state school offers and they gone. We should win this one but if not its bc he chose to go to Stanford not bc we dissed him with a late offer.
  4. Come on season hurry up and get here. Your turning our board into a bunch of middle schoolers.
  5. On to Dallis Todd. He would finish up our wr class nicely.
  6. He plays like an anchor type like a Vincent valentine but doesnt have the type of size to do that at the next level. Not real explosive with his upper or lower body. He kind of leans against the competition at times. He has some good things on his film. A couple plays he had great hand placement and good at chucking defenders. I would like to see maliek Collins type of results against this type of competition. Not a lot of div 1 talent in nv. This kid is a wait and see prospect.
  7. I wonder if he took TV's spot. Seem cut from the same mold. Welcome N. Love the speed we are getting on offense.
  8. Are we really trying to decipher the words of a 17 year old in an interview he gave at a camp to find clues towards a commitment. I hope he is N. We will find out in a few days.
  9. Representing in the show me state. Well done. Now let's go get Wallace out of the Lou.
  10. What better committ to get on the 4th of July than FREEDOM
  11. Yeah baby!! Welcome N! And Happy birthday Merica! USA USA USA
  12. I just can't read any more of your post past this point. I hope you didn't put much thought into it, because it wasn't worth it. We have adapted our coaching in order to win a lot of games in the BIG. We have not had the personel, but a ton of credit has to be given to the staff in order to make up for the lack of depth at LB and DT to win ten games with the way they schemed to do so. You named four teams that are in recruiting hot beds. I'm sorry, but if we were pumping out as much in-state talent as those first four teams you named I would really be on your side. Oregon recruiting is about where we are. Their defense would get raped in the BIG. They have 220? Pound LBs. Oregons LBs went 240, 235, and 230. A little misconception about Oregon being a finesse team. They have done a lot better the last few years targeting elite talent on the defensive side of.the ball. They will never put up great defensive numbers bc of.the style they play, but they are a very good unit. They would more than hold their own in the big ten.
  13. I'd be shocked if he didn't redshirt. We return cotton, reeves and moudy at guard. While only cotton is a (somewhat) known entity, all will be upper class men. That's not even counting kondolo, who might be a center. Farmer looks good, possibly good enough to get some snaps as a true frosh, but starting as a true freshman is extremely unlikely and there's no point burning a redshirt if you're not starting (or the only quality back-up available). My thought is that if the coaches see instantly that he is the heir apparent at Center and they believe he will or even might beat out Thurston in a year then I think they would want to get him in there some. Unless it is substantial playing time u don't pull a shirt. He practices everyday so u can develop technique and knowledge playbook without playing him. Player development takes place during the week, not gameday.
  14. He said in an interview that he thinks he will redshirt next year.
  15. Our coaches got to see him up close and personal. Either their is something they don't like about him or they like someone else better. But it seems this kid is on our radar and something is holding back and offer. I will go with our staff on this one.
  16. Didn't he come to big red weekend with alize, and gates. I thought they brought 3 Gorman kids.
  17. He is visiting Iowa and then is going hit the Midwest circuit and see Nebraska, Cincy, and wiscy too. Don't know if he is higher on the Hawkeyes but he talked highly of.them. he is also going to camp at Ohio state to try to earn an offer.
  18. Not earlier in the month bc that would mean he has already been here.
  19. The better we do at forcing a situation the higher our blitz percentage gets. Getting teams behind the sticks.and we will blitz. Getting them off schedule or getting a lead and forcing a team to pass more frequently. You can not just tee off and blitz people when they are in 50/50 situations. If we want to see more blitzing we need to win early downs or impose our will on a team. We just haven't been talented enough to do that recently.
  20. Ace Sanders weighed 170 in the draft last year ans was 5'7. He did pretty well in the SEC. This kid has elite speed and a year left of high school. He will be fine. He won't be asked to win jump balls or run over defenders. His job will be to get the ball in space and outrun people.
  21. Nothing stands the path of an F5 tornado. Not even tree trunks.
  22. Put him in the slot. Much more difficult to jam when he is off the ball and against a lesser athlete.
  23. Glad we passed on him. Even vandy has guys getting booted.
  24. Lets not forget abot Michael Rose. If he can get it together this fall camp he could be a major contributor. And hey, we've still got Anderson, Afalava, and Santos at LB. Rose is the most polished lb we got. He has great instincts and could be a serious player. He doesn't flash as much as the others but he always finds the ball and is good on contact. I mean redshirt fresh we got. Not most polished on the team.
