  1. OU at 4? With basically all of its O-line and Bradford gone? Uh, no.
  2. depends on what her interests are. If she is a beach bum, well.... But as far as restaurants and live music, there is plenty to do. Hopefully there is enough to keep the family busy. Good parks, good youth sports (my son is 7), good shopping, a water park or two. And how's the Zoo?
  3. So, LaVista/Papillion, Bellevue, or Millard sound like the best spots. Cool. My wife is a California girl. Is Omaha going to keep her interested?
  4. My kids are in 2nd and Kindergarten, so we are looking for good family-friendly areas.
  5. I'll be working at/near Stratcom, so even though I doubt traffic is a huge issue in Omaha, would Papillion/LaVista make sense?
  6. There's a decent chance I'll be moving to Omaha to work in January. I am stoked. Any advice on where to look for a house (preferably under 200K)? I've done some research and the Millard schools appear to be far superior to the Omaha SD schools. What say you Omaha residents?
  7. I was once a star gazer, I am no longer one anymore. With saying that if a college/HC has a concrete system/development/ plan to utilize players it negates everything. Speed is speed whether it be a 2 star or 5 star. Same with athleticm. A high vertical is another indicator, almost better then the 40 times the services put out. By all accounts I've heard Middleton will be rated by rivals a solid 3 star ranging from 5.5-5.7 range. But if somehow he ends up at USC make that a 5.8, 4 star. Sadly it's been proven and Tom Lemming was ousted from ESPN because of that...........cough, cough in 2005. I AM still a star-gazer, because there is a pretty reliable relationship between the strength of a school's recruiting classes and its success on the field. That said, I'm most concerned about speed. We need more speed on this team, and even if we take a raw player who can fly, I'm willing to go with that.
  8. Terrence Moore or Baker. And I'm VERY excited to see Turner and P. Allen on opposite sides.
  9. Then you don't understand defensive schemes.
  10. No, you start Lucky at QB taking direct snaps with Helu right next to him, a la Arkansas from the last two years with McFadden and Felix Jones. THAT would be tough to stop.
  11. Auburn, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Kansas.
  12. I don't like getting into the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" mindset, but this team is literally a couple of plays from being 9-2 and tied with Mizzou atop the North. So we've made huge strides, and I applaud the coaching staff.
  13. There was nothing questionable about it. Freeman still held the ball when Potter hit him, and he didn't lead with his head. The protection of QBs nowadays is getting a bit extreme. This is TACKLE football, not flag football. Very poor call.
  14. I'm sitting on my yacht off the Florida Keys right now as three topless beauties lounge on the deck. And by the way - no way is Asante the biggest bust ever. Harrison Beck comes to mind...
  15. Killing ourselves. Plain and simple. We've given up or missed out on three scores because of turnovers.

    5-1

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a pessimist when it comes to the Huskers, but we are literally about 2 or 3 plays away from being 5-1, folks. The questionable personal foul call on Suh in the VT game, and any number of plays in the red zone in the 1st half today. I know we have to learn to win, but perhaps this team is closer than we are giving them credit for.
  17. Honestly - if you are relying on Nate Swift to be your game-breaker, you are going to be disappointed. He's a nice player, but we need a more athleticism and speed at the WR spot.
  18. We gonna get our asses kicked....
  19. Best team doesn't always win. We did get screwed.
  20. This team isn't ready for prime time. Very mediocre offensive line. Average defensive line, at best. Not a single playmaker on defense. Not a single playmaker in the WR corps. QB who can be game-planned. Ineffective special teams. And to be honest, the coaching has so far been blah. I believe in Bo, but it's clear that this team is still a long way from being a player in major-college football. Bring on the MAC and WAC teams. We aren't ready to compete against BCS-conference schools.
  21. Can Potter or Suh play FS? O'Hanlon can't catch anything...
