I'm currently using a 360 controller with a wireless receiver plugged into USB with Xpadder to map buttons. Everything works flawlessly, except... When playing a few older games... GTA III and VC mainly... aiming from first person perspective is useless. The reticle bounces all over the places and does not respond at all to up or down (can't remember about left or right... they might be fine). And sometimes while driving cars will veer one way or another randomly. I drive with the left analog stick. It's as if I need to adjust the sensitivity of the left stick. Interestingly, looking around in 1st person with right analog stick works perfectly. Any ideas?

Well, pulled the trigger. Put in an order for my first gaming rig last night. Cost me a pretty penny at $1100 but I think it will be worth it in the long run. I plan on using it as my long term computer anyway and the screen on my laptop has been giving me troubles lately. I fear it may be ready to give out. +1 I don't think anyone says they WON'T do anything, and I'm in the camp that thinks Taylor will be amazing, it's more of a they haven't done anything yet so how can they be in higher regard than players who have played. Cross was thought to be a hidden gem that we snagged last year and was gonna shake things up, but now you see people bagging on him left and right (not myself, I love the guy), so you never know how any guy is gonna turn out and that might be where some of the people are coming from. I think that's a pointless argument to be making, from both sides. Heard played well, when he was on the field. Cross has played well, when he has been on the field. Abdullah has played well, when he has been on the field. Taylor and Newby played well in high school and they bring a lot of potential to the backfield. Why we are making a distinction between any of them is ridiculous. Well, I mostly agree. However, I'm not going to agree that there should be no distinction between Ameer and AT or TN. One has rushed for 1100+ yards in a full season of college football in a major conference and shown the ability to stay healthy to boot. Two have never played a collegiate down.

I ended up figuring out the mapping. Thanks for the advice man. I'm thinking of building one. Buying stock is a lot more cheaper but if I'm building one for the long term spending more doesn't bother me. You get what you pay for. What did you pay to build yours though? I'm trying to get a good feel for appropriate price range. I'm going into my senior year of college this fall so being broke is familiar to me, unfortunately.

Not bad suggestions guys, thanks. I might look into building a PC now... One question though. Been trying to configure controls on GTA III to work with my Xbox 360 controller. Got the wireless USB receiver, synced up controller no problem. However it doesn't recognize the triggers (b/c they're not analog...?). Anybody have any experience mapping out controls with a separate program (Xpadder, Joy2key, Pinnacle, etc) that could help me out?

Currently trying to decide if I want an Xbox One or PS4 when they launch. I think PS4 is more gamer friendly, but Xbox has a better launch lineup and wins all the non-gaming components hands down. But hell, the Wii U has a lot of great game titles coming out too... maybe I should get one of those. Might pick up a regular Wii for cheap now so I can still play some of the old Gamecube games I've got on the backlog. Steam is PRETTY FRICKIN SWEET. I've just recently started my library. Bought the Grand Theft Auto pack-- III, Vice City, San Andreas, and IV- for ten bucks, as well as Left 4 Dead 2 (exclusively for multiplayer) and some old school Sega games. Got an Xbox 360 wireless USB adapter for $12 and I"m so ready to hit those. Any advice on PS4 vs. Xbox?

I share those same concerns Dude. IIRC last I checked there was a way to toggle the auto sprint to "off" in the options, which would allow you to self-control sprint again. As for the DL, unfortunately, playing as them has felt useless for several years now.

You CAN import your draft classes this year, I know that for a fact. EA must've realized how much they dropped the ball last year and put the feature back in. I was shocked they omitted it last year as well.

Anybody planning on picking it up? I usually alternate getting one game a year and this year it's Madden's turn. Honestly the pre-order bonuses are pretty lame. Just some players to use in Ultimate Team mode. The best IMO is probably Amazon since you get Rod Woodson and Franco Harris. I'll probably get it there.
