  1. you guys stop acting like a buncha pinkles
  2. correct me if i'm wrong, but they never threw a flag for the hit they just ruled it an incomplete pass
  3. niles kick return, kyler reed had some great catches, helu's long runs, taylors highlights alone are crazy... I see where you're goin with this
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if Hawaii upset Boise actually
  5. Our WR corps actually sets up nicely the next few years, if you think about it. Niles obviously leaves after this year, which means (unless he continues to prove me wrong the rest of the year like he did last week) less big plays, along with less blown plays and fumbles. He's still a huge loss, a definite deep threat as a receiver and an excellent blocker, an underrated quality considering the offense we now run. Blocking as a WR is a must. Mike will also be sorely missed. Unfortunately, it's been slow going for him adapting into our adjuster role this year, but he's picking up steam and showing why he's got some of the most trusted hands on the team. Then we have Kinnie, an absolute stud and in my mind a better receiver than Paul, who will be a senior next year. I believe Gilleylen will also be a senior next year, finally. Seems like he's been around forever, probably just because his combo of speed and unreliable hands make him such a tease. If he could somehow find his way onto the field and our coaches can do something to fix his hands (STICK EM! ), he could help next year. After Brandon, we have unproven talent, but said talent has a lot of upside. Kyler Reed is flashing some serious ability this year. Reeling in two long bombs from Taylor for TD's. Looks like that speed we saw in the spring game last year was no fluke...I see him becoming Taylor's go-to deep threat in the future. Enunwa managed to find his way onto the field as a true frosh. A good sign... let's just hope we don't look back on his first year as a wasted one, ala Paul's or (woulda been w/o med RS) Suh's first years. Antonio Bell is gone, and I felt he coulda been a good receiver for us, seeing him make some really good plays in that same spring game, but oh well. Khiry Cooper can be a heck of a receiver for us, if he proves he's physical enough to stand up to being a WR in D1 (he's kind of wiry yet). Hopefully he really focuses in on football and steps up. Also, obviously, SJB is just waiting for his turn in the wings. He'll get his chance soon. I could also see Marlowe becoming a Wes Welker type of slot guy for us, if he puts it all together as a WR and not just kick returner. Whatever contribution we get from him is big though, as a lot of people dogged his commitment to us as being just b/c he was from Cardinal Mooney. I'd say it was good use of a scholarship... better than another "special teams maven," Mason Wald. I also hope Steven Osborne can somehow contribute... I was high on both the Osborne twins when the committed... Just big, athletic kids, and Steven in particular is built like Mo Purify/Kinnie and I thought could be a great, physical receiver for us. don't forget about kenny bell and rex out of the backfield has been a really good receiver (glossing over the texas game) I think we'll be fine at wr
  6. I think bo's definition of "fine" is probably a little different than ours and the medias
  7. i thought gabbert might have been on the list from last year anyway but yeah we really shut him down, we also dropped about 3 additional picks on that one drive they ended up with a field goal
  8. Alex henery CAN miss a field goal
  9. soooo do we get to keep the bell forever?
  10. Pretty amazing players we're getting from Fort Scott, I think SJB we'll turn out to be pretty good too
  11. I've never actually owned a mac but i would guess they'd be a lot easier to carry around for a college student and the battery life is a lot better too. I haven't been around the mac os much but when i used my friends i would get really annoyed with it and wish it was running windows
  12. sorry huskerscott i think i coined that term in a recruiting thread refering to a certain qb prospect...
  13. wait... they serve tequila there?
  14. yeah i thought this class was supposed to be bigger? I dont keep up with recruiting very much though anymore. I like the guys predictions though.
  15. already pregamin for the game with some busch light
  16. we dont do a lot of screens to roy anymore it seems like, i think that would work pretty well against their quick defense and our wall of great OLs in front of roy
  17. And tell em how much we whooped their texASSes! BOOM!
  18. That's actually not the academic "N". That is the athletic department "N". Nebraska is one of the few universities that's used 2 different fonts to brand itself. Argument aside, you make a valid point about Nebraska deciding to use this new look helmet for the sake of consistent branding, and with the move to the Big Ten, it makes sense to do this change of branding starting now. Actually this is the official "N" of the university... Notice the academic "N" (white) is inside of/on top of the athletic "N" Personally, I couldn't agree more, especially when you compare this new look to Wisconsin's helmets (eeeesh). I love the helmet as is. Even though the change makes sense for branding and advertising purposes for the university, I think you gotta stick with tradition on this one. That N looks sweet... it would look even sweeter on some black helmets
  19. I want to see some of the longhorn cheer leaders a little later after the game mmmmm.... thats nice...
