  1. If the Camstache kills you in your dreams you will die in real life.
  2. It wasn’t my intent to be arrogant. Sorry if that’s how it came across. And I know that some Big 10 fan bases travel quite well. In particular, tOSU and Meechicken fans. But the Sea of Red is legendary in how it follows the Huskers. Ooops——there’s that arrogance again. :-) Actually, I think there will be a LOT of visiting NU Red in the Big 10 stadiums for the first couple of seasons. There is a pent up demand to see the Huskers in places like Happy Valley, The Horseshoe and The Big House. But I doubt if Husker fans take over those three football shrines like we did at Neuter Dame a few years back. Look at how much scarlet was in Michigan Stadium last year. This doesn't include what was outside still tailgating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E5gPKBD_tM You can thank Rich Rod for a lot of those seats filled by tOSU fans last November. Meechicken fans couldn’t bear to see their team get kicked to the curb in the Big House. For the third time in a month.
  3. Causes offensive linemen to freeze in their tracks.
  4. I dont think so. Osbornes call was for the NC. The Cal/Stanford game was played between two mediocre teams with a really crazy finish. The NU/Mia game was for all the marbles and NU was supposed to win the game. Losing a rivalry game is nowhere close to losing a NC when all you had to do was kick a field goal to ensure it. All very true indeed. But more people remember the Stanford band play. The Fleakicker will be on the list somewhere too.
  5. Yeah, if he hits campus sometime this year he definitely redshirts. I have my doubts that Heard gets PT even if he'd made grades and was at NU already. There are a couple of pretty good ones ahead of him.
  6. Ha ha! Brett Farve retiring? This coming from the boy that cried wolf. Many times.
  7. Oh, Boone Pickens--you old poker player. What this really means is that the Boone Pickens/Mike Leach meeting actually happened. For sure.
  8. The Candwich--what an awesome idea! I hope the guy got a patent on it. And a trademark on the name.

  10. Basketball. One of these years everything will come together and we’re going to be GREAT! This is just like Charlie Brown thinking that one of these years Lucy will actually let him kick the football.
  11. Ahhhh, Cosgrove. I forgot about him. Blocked it out of my memory I guess. I’d say Cosgrove is about equally likely to still be coaching next year as Joe Paterno. And every bit as mentally agile.
  12. Yeah, good point. Maybe PSU can assign a large grad student to shadow him. Then snatch him up under his arm and whisk Joe Pa to safety if the play comes their way.
  13. I wouldn't touch anyone in WallyWorld either. Half the people that go there probably wipe their rear ends with their bare hands(lol.....only half joking). On top of that, he was probably looking around the place thinking that the people there were going to look like "suits" compared to what he's going to see every day in Detroit. Maybe the honeymoon is over and he's figuring out that he gave away a TON of money before he even got his first NFL paycheck. It's not like he'd be the first to make that mistake. A mil here, a few mil there, the tax man, house, family-oh wait, I don't even have a signed contract, let alone a years worth of pay yet. Knapplc you seem to bump into players all the time. I hardly ever saw players during my years in Lincoln. You must hang out at the right places. Ha!
  14. I want to see Joe Pa in Lincoln again. Not because I dislike him or anything. The guy is a class act all the way. I just want to see Paterno pacing the sidelines of Memorial in his white socks and highwater pants. It's great when he wanders out onto the field right after the whistle to yell at the refs.
  15. NU leads 54/46 now. And regardless of how this popularity poll turns out, the Huskers would’ve kicked Meechicken to the curb had they actually played.
  16. The Camstache. Ha ha! I agree that Meredith and Ankrah are gonna be great. Lookin for both to step up big time this fall.
  17. Also, rent a copy of Feris Bueller’s Day Off before you go. And do the stuff he did.
  18. Sears tower. That'll kill an hour or so.
  19. I’ll bet the Miami OB loss is in the top 5, but not #1. I’m guessing it will be the Stanford band play with John Elway’s Stanford Cardinals losing to Cal.
  20. Ha ha! I LIKE the part about beating OU in the B12CCG. And I agree that we'll probably drop a couple somewhere along the line. But I doubt it will be to either UW or Mizzou.
  21. Oh, that last play of regulation was a doozy all right——an all new low for Mack, Colt and the entire UT offense. It’s a good thing for the whorns that the refs gave ‘em a mulligan.
  22. Here's another. Maybe not so bizarre though, since it's the SEC.
  23. Have you ever read a sports news story with a quote that is just plain bizarre? And REALLY bizarre if taken out of context. That is what this thread is for. Here goes. A classic quote from a while ago:
