  1. Posted by HJ Close to a personal attack / name calling. Please take it easy. Please don't get bent out of shape just a friendly reminder that even if you didn't intend for it to be that way, it could be conceived as the above. Dude... come on.. How is that a personal attack? she's saying how she pictures his view of our recruiting situation.. If I say that the team looked like chickens with their heads cut off is that a personal attack at the team? No. It's stating how they played.. In no way an attack. There's a lot more questionable stuff out there.. Including by myself.... Just take a visit into the baseball section.... I would visit the baseball section, if there was something to talk about. Your signature says it all, very disappointing. That wouldn't be a pesonal attack now, would it?
  2. That sounds like an opportunity for an outside school to get a foot in the door of a potential pipeline.
  3. I don't think most of those people have any clue what the guy stands for or has proposed. The election themes seemed to be mostly anti-bush and "an historic opportunity" (tranlated black guy). The average American has very little interest and less info on anything not gear to a 5 second sound bite. God forbid, we should teach the kids anything about the importance fo the 2nd amendment.
  4. Jeez Jen, I get the idea you don't like the kid.
  5. You've got a piont there, a lack of competent competition may be his best friend, but I have to admit, I can't ever remember him doing anything all that exceptional while he was here. That said, good luck Lydon, you're gonna need it.
  6. Still, I really expected someone to grab him in the late 3rd early 4th
  7. Lucky was a victim of timing, last years draft was very solid at RB and many felt he wouldn't get picked until the late rounds. Part of the reason, therefore, to come back was to increase draft stock. Unfortunately theis also soincideded with a change in offensive philosiphy and the emergence of 2 backs better suited to the new scheme. Also, injuries played a part, so Lucky was really a victim of bad luck.
  8. I am very worried that we will end up half assing this thing like we did Nam. Running away with our tails between our legs will only repeat the mistake we made after the Soviets were defeated. President Obama, do not let it be that my brothers will have died in vain, honor them and acheive the ends for which they fought and died.
  9. Thank you for all that you've done as a Vet, and as a citizen.
  10. I saw him play live a number of times, very good athele, scouts have been high on him as a project for some time and yeah, he'd have been a fine QB for the Big Red.
  11. Another good christian boy thrown to the lions, good luck kid
  12. I still thought Lucky would go first
  13. I would not have guessed CG would be our first draftee
  14. Hey, the Bears just got that guy from Jacka**, maybe Vince from shamwow has got a chance.
  15. I'd have to say in terms of ability Lee looks like he could be better. But, he doesn't neccessarily have to be if he has the weapons around him. IMHO Lee, and this team, still need a year to develop. That said, ya never know how that funny shaped ball is gonna bounce.
  16. My brain hurts, please stop with all the fancy talkin. I really look foward to this kid adding some new tricks to Wattson's evil schemes. Hopefully, they won't be needed till 2010
  17. I remeber seeing Will Shields on one of these post season challange shows where they do position drills to compete as best whatever. Anyway, the one area he had trouble with, and said himself that it was common, was blocking the shorter sleds (translate tacklers). Problem is, when your 6-4,6-5,6-6, its hard to get your pad level down to 5-11 chest level. I'm not saying I prefer little DT s, just that I think it's interesting how sometimes a player or coach can sometimes take advantage of a preceived shortcoming.
  18. How about Darren Sproles, or Cory Ross for that matter. i know they aren't WR s but last I checked they do get hit occasionally and both were drawing NFL money last year. The trend to bigger receivers has led to bigger corners, and physics tells us that larger boddies will not be as agile (able to change direction/position). Then again, Newton never coached football.
  19. Shonne Green to the Jets, nice pick up for them. I hate them so much....
  20. The Pawnees beat the Poncas and Sioux to win the inter-tribal championship. well played sir
  21. Ouch, well maybe you'll do better with the #1 overall pick next year. Seriously Raider fan, I will pray for your soul in heaven, cause you ain't gettin no mercy here.
  22. True. Pride is poison (see first commandment). I don't think most people credit themselves for where they live so much as take pride in said place, people etc. IE I love my country, I am extremely proud of what we as a nation have accomplished in our short time among the brotherhodd of nations and though my family has served this nation since before it was one I don't see myself a haivng had a lot to do with its success. Pride in self is the true sin, to hold oneself above another is to delude oneself to the point of hidious consequence (see WW II, slavery, Rwanda, Darfur etc).
  23. It seems to me that teams have windows of oppotunity, when pieces fall into place. Schedules, personnel and opponant strenth all line up. IMHO this would have been the case had NU stayed the corse in 2005. I see the stars aligning for 2010. 1> QB Lee a sr with experience and 2-3 relible backups 2 >2 stud sr running backs and 2-3 reliable backups 3> WR this is the area in greatest need of a real breakthrough but with 2 years in, think we'll see some of these young guys come through 4> TE we are going to be very strong here and Watson knows how to use these guys 5> Oline tons of senior experience, depth and time in system 6> Defense=Pellini Brothers, nuff said.
