I am a Dallas fan. And, as such, there have been times that I almost wished players, like Jason Whitten, for instance, could go somewhere else in a trade or free agent situation just so that he could get that success he deserves. I find myself feeling the same way about TA here at Nebraska. I think Armstrong would be deady in a system like Oregon. With that talent around him and his speed/ball faking ability. Don't think he'll leave. Don't want him to leave. But man would he be go...

Okay...so I was more than a little dour after a big victory. Mea culpa. I should have focused on the positive and not the negative.

That Michigan State game was just the lift we needed as a fan base. It was getting pretty hard to do the whole positive vibes bit. Now we have something to cheer and, not that we want more adversity (had plenty already) but it will be a little easier to see past it due to the win on Saturday ... if in deed it comes and we all hope it does not.

Eichorst didn't lend a message of support for Bo Pelini during the season because he didn't support Bo Pelini. I don't think they got along very well...... Crazy how when you treat people with respect and courtesy, your boss is willing to break his own rules to show support of you. I guess having a bit of class can be an advantage sometimes. Whodathunkit?

More to the point, however, was the fact that Bo was a T.O. hire and Eichorst wanted to put his stamp on the program. I am not saying good or bad, but this is true. Bill Callahan was doing horrible when T.O. took over, but I think we all realize that it would have only been a matter of time, even with a strong 2007 finish, before T.O. had seen enough because T.O. didn't see BC as a good representation of the Husker program. Eichorst thought the same way about Bo.

Thought of the day: It sure is easier to learn how to expect more than it is to learn how to expect less.
