I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said. It sure would be nice to see them find a spot for him to play. It seems like he is a good enough athlete that he needs to be on the field somewhere.

Yeah that works too and probably is the better option.

Was listening to Todd and Tyler this morning and Todd had an interesting take on maybe slowing these coaching changes down. If an athlete transfers schools he has to sit out a year. Why not make coaches do the same? They pull a number out, 5 years I believe it was, that if a coach is there shorter than that time period and changes jobs he's got to sit out a year, longer than that he doesn't have to. I dunno what I think of this just found it interesting. It would make coaches less apt to change and maybe protect students or at least give them more assurance that their coach will stay with them.

Actually, if you trace the Big 12 back through the Big 8 and back to the Missouri Valley, only Mizzou and Kansas have been in since the beginning, with out interruption. Nebraska quit for a few years (don't know why...tired of getting butt kicked maybe?). So, since Mizzou has been playing football in conference the entire time, NU is LESS grounded and has LESS tradition. You need some sugar for them sour apples? No sour apples here. Just pointing out to the previous poster the his or her understanding of "tradition" was wrong. Tradition has nothing to do with just winning. It has to do with history. Things like inventing the Split T formation, Homecoming, having the 2nd longest continuous rivalry in college football, the 5th down game, Tyus Edney... not to mention Johnny Roland, Roger Wehrli, Kellen Winslow and current World Champion Christian Cantwell. Not to mention one of the greatest of all un-official college songs ever: "Don't send my boy to Kansas, The dying mother said. Don't send my boy to Kansas, I'd rather see him dead. I've never listened to the show. I can't get it "out" here. (2.5hrs. West of Omaha) But I find this kinda sad. I used to listed to Perrault all the time. I know some people didn't like him but I thought he did a good job. Plus he was all I could get until Sports Nightly. I just think its a joke that these shows are cancelled. I find this hard to believe that its the economy, there are still plenty of advertisers. If they blame ratings then I say really, Really, ratings there's what four sports shows in the area. At least now you folks east of me can listen to Doug Gottlieb. I wonder if Cookie Miller will be a regular caller. I do get Todd-n-Tyler in the mornings, did they ship Travis Justice off with Perrault? or whats the story there.

This has to be the problem with our offense. I've been thinking this since day one. To be at this level and to have been around this long, how do our coaches not recognize this, if it is in fact the problem? I mean they should be smart enough and good enough teachers to realize that this system won't work at this level, especially with the players other committments, and scale back. I'm with others, if you have to have 4-5 years in a system to really flourish then lets find a new system.

I used to do about half a pack a day. A pack if I was drinking. For me quitting has been a long process. I can go days without one then all of the sudden I get the urge. You just have to fight it. I've given in some it happens, don't get down on yourself just keep at it. The biggest problem I have is associating it with past behavior for instance stress or driving or being bored. When I drink thats when its the hardest to ignore. And damn near everyone I hang around smokes. Just have to man up and keep after it.

On behalf of the 2001 Boone Central State Championship team I would like to sincerely apologize to Cornhusker fans everywhere. We won that championship on a couple of very lucky plays and ever since then Nebraska football has gone to heck. We took the magic out of Memorial Stadium and it has yet to come back. Our first steps to recovery is an offensive make over. Thanks for reading.
